Kenliworth, IL 15 minutes north of Northwestern University. It's known the Money Town of IL. My Dad used chauffeured the rich to the airport or downtown Chicago before he was hire full time at Amtrak. You will not see any black people there unless you are a bootlicker, or you passing thru. Also, you won't see their children at Northwestern University, unless they are there for the party favors. Northwestern University is a PWI that have a large black student body. You are bound to run into someone that you know. The same goes for those at Chicago State University. These 2 PWIs are so black, you will mistaken them for HBCUs.
Small WHITE towns! I'm a truck driver & presently in Willard, OH & I've NEVER been in such a small WHITE area before! I'm only here for 3 days and running back to my home of Flint, MI!
Thanks for this information; I didn't know anything about these types of towns until a yt woman warned us about an area in Pennsylvania back in the 1990's, when we got lost looking for a church.
@Muse Verdant I don't remember because it was back in the 1990's, and I was going with a friend to a different church. Even at that time though, I didn't quite understand that "yt" woman telling us that we didn't want to be in that area after dark, until I found out about Sundown towns a few years ago.
Love this series - Kenilworth, IL is one of the wealthiest towns in the country. Tiny af but the money here is insane. Keep in mind, these communities all proudly had their BLM signs hanging high while blissfully tucked away in their lakeshore mansions. completely oblivious to anything happening in the city, but the first to shame you if you didn’t retweet their BLM post. Kenilworth is super quiet but I can def see this being very very unsafe back in the day
