    I used to work at a Lincoln dealer in Albany back in the early 90's. I loved these cars, especially in LSC trim with the BBS wheels. I got to drive these and the Mark VIII's pretty regular up and down the Northway. Good times. You've got a cherry there, nice car.

    Dude I just bought an 89 with 93,000 for 700.This is my second one I've had.Theyre not very popular where I live,but I like them.

      Bruce Lee nice bro!! That’s a great deal because these cars have no market anymore and they either go for dirt cheap in great condition, or crazy money in shit condition. Cherish that baby brother. These cars are my favorite cars ever. I’ll drive LSC’s until I die.

      Lester Diamond guy before me painted them black. I took them off a while ago. I couldn’t stand them either but I didn’t have any spare wheels at the time

    I had an 87 LSC senior year of HS in Sunnyside '96 . Some of the best times with that car. Lasted me 5 years, came home one night and found it rear ended and 40 feet from where i parked it. totaled. And never got to install a Posi out of a special edition.

    I've got a 90 LSC burgundy inside and out... bought it last year with 94k from the original owner for $1000. She's been my daily driver since day 1.. already took a trip to Montana this last January. Paint is still 99.5% intact since he kept it garaged for life and dotted each chip with touch-up. Interior is nearly perfect aside from cracked leather on driver seat bottom with a 4" tear and cracks on left corner of dash. Converted dead Teves II brake system to a Bosch Hydroboost but entirely stock otherwise.. considering new gears for my first upgrade and also stressing out about keeping the paint together for as long as possible.

    Yeah! Great job man. Just dropped a 2001 explorer 5.0 into a 4x4 Ranger and now I've been bit by the gt40 bug!!!! This looks like a great sleeper platform!

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Phil Ronny these cars are the ultimate sleeper man. People who don’t know much about these cars just look at them and think “oh it’s an old Lincoln.” Little do they know, they’re still a fox platform car with a factory 225 horsepower 5.0 302 and you can make so much power with mods. And they look sick as fuck too. Classy and badass

    Nice dude! I’ve got a 1990. It’s in bad shape right now but I’m about to get it going again. It rips, 5 Speed, gt40 upper and lower, twisted wedge heads, b303 cam, and 150 shot of nitrous. I over revved it and spun a bearing or broke a rod. Not sure yet! I’ll post a video soon. Anyways sweet car man, not many around these days.

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I seen someone with a 1979 Cadillac Seville that they put the running gear from a 1990 IROC Z Camaro 350 TPI the car was just too heavy and not engineered for that kind of power it just never turns out right It was very nicely done and interesting tho

    Nice bro just black out those headlights... had that same steering wheel on my 88 GT Fox

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Edgar Osegueda thanks broski! Honestly I do like blacked out headlights, but I've seen them on LSC's and I'm not really a huge fan. And about the steering wheel, I do like it, but it's too small for me 😫 it was on the car when I bought it but I'm going to switch it back to the original two tone steering wheel that I have at my house. I like the original wheel so much better. The feel and the design of it. I love the way it looks with the interior

    How did you take out the trip computer. I tried that and it fucked with my voltage regulater and alternator ?

  • @Sir.VicsMasher
    @Sir.VicsMasher 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I dig your Mark VII, its done right. My buddies and just about everybody else's stock 2011 Coyote Mustangs make the same 365whp but they don't claim 450hp, if asked they would claim the factory rating of 412hp. Drivetrain loss is not a set percentage because that would effectively lead to a larger loss the more power you produce which just does not make sense unless you increase its drag in some way like a heavy duty transmission or rear end swap. Its more of a set constant loss like 45hp which will always be its loss rather than 45hp now but then magically becomes 90hp if you add a supercharger if using percentages. Gale Banks does a better job talking about it on The Smoking Tire Podcast #389 at 1:33:12 mark.

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The California Garage nice dude is the body and interior clean?

    • @Catboy.
      @Catboy. 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sam Schossig yes, relatively it is missing the driver side door panel but other then that the interior is perfect, it’s the dark blue leather, it has all the factory carpets and the body is in really good shape for the price, but you can’t expect it to be perfect for $400, the front driver side airbag suspension is blown, and the idle control valve is stuck, so in its current shape idles at 3,500 rpm, I plan on getting a coil conversion and the idle control is like $25 new on the internet

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The California Garage dude for the interior and body alone being nice it's worth the $400. That's a steal. I've never gotten that lucky with my Mark VII's, but my last one was $2200 and it just needed some cleaning up and ran great. I paid $4700 for this one. Well worth it though with the mods and everything. That Paxton SN89 supercharger alone is a couple grand. Not even counting the other mods that are done and the stereo system that's in it and everything. The guy I bought it from put at least $8,000 into it. He had all the bills and everything when I bought the car

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The California Garage mine is converted to coils as well. I like the air better, but I wouldn't trust the air with all the power this car has. It does 0-60 in about four seconds and when you get on the gas, the whole front of the car shoots up, so I wouldn't trust all that pressure on the rear bags

    • @Catboy.
      @Catboy. 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sam Schossig definitely the price I got was really good, but I can tell your car is much much nicer, the paint is absolutely perfect, in California the summer just destroys paint, but I really really like yours, where your aftermarket gauges sit is where my old radio was and I think I’m going to put that kind of setup in there and are the wheels just the oem wheels painted black?

    Was the special edition only for this year? And was it just a appearance package or did it come with performance upgrades as well?

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ross Koller the LSC Special Edition was available from 1990-1992 and came with a 225 horsepower 5.0. The trim level was mostly cosmetic with slight changes like suspension and stuff like that. Same horsepower and torque rating as a regular Mark VII though! They actually came with black, tan and sometimes grey interior but this two tone grey interior was actually a dealer custom option, not factory. This is the only one with this interior in existence that every Mark VII owner knows of!

    • @Ferraridude13
      @Ferraridude13 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sam Schossig so the special edition was blacked out chrome and tinted windows and blacked out wheels?

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ross Koller the tints we’re done after, and these wheels are actually from an ‘89 LSC. I have the original wheels which are going to be refinished and powder coated. They came with BBS style lace wheels with black centers and a polished aluminum lip. I’m using these at the moment until I get the originals done. Look up on google 1990-1992 Lincoln LSC Special Edition and you’ll see the wheels I’m talking about. Can’t wait to get them on the car cause they look so good!

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ross Koller oh and all of the performance upgrades like the supercharger and all that were done to the car afterwards. Sorry, forgot to point that out before

    • @samschossig334
      @samschossig334  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Justin Martula it just has flowmaster mufflers and they're chopped after the mufflers. I need to get pipes because they rotted out. Honestly it sounds good but it's way too loud haha. I can stand it myself, but it does get a little annoying because it's a daily driver. Also the NYPD doesn't like loud cars very much. And woah nice find brother. Those GTC's are pretty damn hard to come by. I'd love to check it out.

      If you are still running air bags you can adjust the ride height sensors so the car thinks it’s sitting high and it will lower about 2”, but it rides softer with less air in the bags
