I absolutely love my NLT Filament Large Print Thinline! It has actually made me want to read and get into God's Word. I'm currently doing the 1 year chronological (few days behind...) but absolutely love learning the roots and understanding how they play into the NT
wow, thought it was just me....last 3 orders I placed with Christianbook....yes 3, lol within the last 2 months have all come trashed. One box had 3 of 4 corners ripped and open pretty badly and the other had an entire side ripped off and the usps taped it up. Crazy. Great bibles though!
I've had a lot of problems with Christianbook sending books loosely packed with inflatable bags that are always completely flat by the time they get here. I assume the winter cold did a lot of it but wow, nobody thought of that? Nothing ruined yet but definitely marked up.
@@desfarrell909 for sure man... This one has been my daily cary since then... I wish I can get the genuine leather tho since I think the leatherlike will give up on me from heavy use 😆
Thanks Tim, l am slowly getting into the NLT. The NLT certainly clarifies the meaning of the text when it is not easy to understand in other translations. To be honest, l am personally not persuaded to purchase an NLT premium bible.
I recently received bibles from them and my shipping box was completely destroyed as well. Like someone saw what it was and purposely beat the box up. Very disheartening
I really like my Schuyler NLT. I like the high-quality Netherlands printing and binding. Unfortunately when I wanted a study Bible in NLT I had to go with a cheaper though I’m sure more Profitable Tyndale Study Bible. Reflecting it much cheaper, price and quality. It has been a real test of patience to use it because the pages are virtually glued together with the cheap gilt. I would so have preferred that they just left it off like Holman did with their CSB holy land Bible, which is a true achievement despite its very low cost. Thanks for your video as always, Tim.
Hello. Watching your past reviews as searching for at least 12 point font; I have visual challenges and also love the colorful charts & pictures that the youth learn by . I have had a difficult journey searching online for preference and need to be able to see to read; tyndale seems great I like the imitation leather as more affordable. Boy i wish could get the wide margins too but would be holding a humongous book. I have ordered 2 which are beautiful 1 having a green cover which is lovely but the term giant font isn't so giant, I think it's only 10.5 font. Can't put a price on the word of God but by His grace am still here just living on a tight budget. Looking forward to finding a gem just right for me. Thank you for your videos!
I have a NLT that was printed in the Netherlands Ginuine leather, single column, that is the best bible in the NLT. I wish that Tyndale would reprint this one!
I just got the filament G Leather Black NLT Personal for christmas from my daughters, only thing missing is end of verse ref. I used my 2007 until the fake leather fell apart. I really look forward to saving enough to get the Study bible in olive green one day. Take care
Tim, thanks for your video! I’d love to have an NLT rebound and even more if the edition has the “filament.” Since my favorite one, the Caxton, is no longer in print, what NLT edition would you recommend for a rebound? When I go to Tyndale to compare specs, I don’t see any information on the GSM paper or front. That’s why it is difficult for me to make a decision. A midsize Bible, good paper, font between 9.5 to 11. Any advice? Thanks again!
I just got the student life application study bible. I love it, and with filament study it’s amazing. I do wish the font was a little bigger but still readable. What is your opinion of the Nlt translation? I’m usually in the ESV, Csb, or Nkjv. Having said that I’m really enjoying the Nlt. I know some people really put it down, but the clarity really helps me. I’ve compared to ESV and nkjv it doesn’t change the meaning, it makes it more clear for me at least.
Also I love the colors and maps in the Student Life application study bible. It gives great information and the Character profile is done really cool. It’s almost like they interview the people and they answer.
I love everything about the Filament NLT thinline.... except the paper. At least for note-taking, it seems like no matter what type of pen or highlighter I use, it bleeds like crazy. Compared to my CSB and ESV that can take just about any type of ink, I just haven't found something that works well with the Filament NLT.
something very strange happening with shipping the last few weeks -- Bibles i've purchased and Bibles i've shipped -- so many issues??? GREAT VIDEO ___ GOD Bless
i'm trying to find a particular bible i own and i cant find another copy anywhere. its the NIV Thompson Student Bible. it says Kirkbride . is it the same as the chain note version?
Hoping you can help me. I have been looking for NLT Life Application Study Bible large print with double columns by Tyndale probably second edition. Can you tell me if you can where can I get it or maybe the isbn#? Thank you in advance.
The NLT Illustrated Study Bible isn't a life application Bible, so I'm guessing there is significant difference in the notes, especially since the life application notes are geared toward young people. My husband and I are working our way through Matthew in the NLT Illustrated Study Bible as we concurrently read through the NLT One-year Chronological Study Bible. The notes in these are particularly handy for him, as he didn't grow up with these stories and all the background preaching. He also benefits from Life Application notes, but the one he has for that is NIV.
I try to hang on to one copy of everything so that I can refer to it when questions come up (a helpful tip Randy Brown gave me). If I get a duplicate, I will either give it away or set it aside for a rebind!
The postal service must not be a fan of the NLT, looks like to me 🤣🤣 that's why the box is like that (just joking lol 😁). Great video like always, Tim!
Tim, I appreciate your Bible reviews so much. Maybe you can help me I own many many Bibles, different translations premium non-premium. Study Bibles reference Bibles topical Bible. But I have yet to find THE Bible. I am hoping you can help me. I prefer the NLT translation. I am looking for a good NLT study Bible with a good size font as my eyes are getting weaker. I am wondering what Bible you would suggest. Thanks for your time and your help. I’m also need a Bible. That is not too heavy as my hands and shoulders are weak and holding heavy. Bible is very hard for me. Help. I hope you have some suggestions for me. I also prefer double column.
Hi Sue... it's tough to get a Study Bible that meets all of these requirements. Maybe you could get a Giant Print NLT and learn to use the Filament App?
@@timwildsmith lol I have 2 NLT giant print bibles and just thought I may just have to use the filament app instead of a study Bible! Thanks for the confirmation brother! God Bless

Right now I'm using five Bibles regularly: ESV PR rebind from Logos, NRSV from Allan, NKJV from Nelson, and two NIVs (Schuyler PSQ for church and SDG rebind for work).

Those olive green Bibles are great looking! Such a nice callback to the Living Translation.
Yes!!

I have bought the Immerse in the New Testament and I really was excited to get it! I got in in large print.

Amazon had a Navy genuine leather personal giant print but it is going for about $100. The olive green and black are a better deal.
