I'm going to repost Slog's bio in the Dreamwave More Than Meets The Eye series, because it's weirdly intriguing for a character who's mostly been a nonentity in the franchise. *Bio:* Slog is the most tasteful and refined of his comrades. When he originally joined the Decepticons, they used his exceptional talent as an artist to produce sculptures and art pieces depicting the glory of the Decepticon empire and its leaders, and record their rise for posterity. Eventually, they realized Slog was a capable warrior as well as an artist, although his battlefield work is definitely more of the 'abstract' variety. He carves up his foes on the battlefield more out of a desire to survive than actual spite, and he always attempts to make each of his victims a work of art to honor their memory. This aspect of war, and the fact that the Decepticons have no interest in supporting free expression and art, troubles Slog. Although he finds destruction to be the best way to create pure, chaotic art in an inanimate subject, he wonders about the lives lost in the Autobot/Decepticon conflict. Slog once organized an underground art show of his work, reflecting the horrors of war in the twisted, rusting ruins of his foes. This led to the coining of a new art form - 'slogism' - and the use of the exhibit's pictures in the Autobots' anti-Decepticon broadcasts. This and occasional doubts about his cause have not pleased his Decepticon superiors. *Weapons/Abilities:* Subject possesses great intelligence and exceptional skill as an artist. He is a surprisingly effective warrior. Subject's outer Shell has harder-than-diamond talons capable of cutting through almost any substance. Inner robot is armed with a magnetic rifle that can be set to fire waves that repel or attract; it can even make its target's bodies repel themselves, tearing apart metallic opponents. Combines with fellow Pretender Monsters to form Monstructor. *Weaknesses:* Subject has bouts of depression that make him useless in combat. Also, going by that one Marvel appearance, he talks like Yoda. I learned this stuff because I found an oddly elaborate Slog-focused fanfic back in the day.

When I first found out about Rairyu, I had a nice little giggle. Since Rairyu means thunder lizard, I instantly starting thinking of that old cartoon with the earworm theme, Terrible Thunderlizards. 😊
In my school vr game, Monstructor is in the game as 1 of several prisoners of the Earth maximum supervillain prison known as Tarterus then during the facilities destruction he broke out and went into the forest he was later suspected of the death of Super Villain of Gigantomachia but was ruled out by Sir Nighteye due to the killer being only organic, then later played a role in the Titan Hybrid boss fight where he kills the supervillain Overhaul but was killed by The All for One Merged Photoius but not before bringing them done which "monstrously" wounded them but thats not where there story ends as they were revived as Dinoking and played a critical role in the death of Anerga and is currently undergoing Redemption
I always thought Monstructor was an interesting character since I first got and IDW Transformers medley graphic novel from Scholastic's book fair in which he was the villain in Optimus Prime's story. Six Decepticons fused together but experiencing a death of personality together was something I don't think ever happened to a Combiner before until Transformers Prime's take on the Seacons came in Titans Magazine's continuity. Wildfly, Scowl, Bristleback and Birdbrain are definitely my favourites out of the six. Plus, its interesting to note that Scowl wasn't the only Decepticon to be reimagined as a Dinobot in the 2010s! I didn't know the Dinoforce was created prior to 2015, when new Dinobots were created for the live-action movies and the aligned continuity (Tricerashot, Strafe, Scorn and Slash just to name a few).
The pretender shells don’t even get used in the combiner. It should’ve been like that one gobot guardian combiner where the gobots wear space suits and they can combine.
A great one! I absolutely love Monstructor and always hope they will get a new Generations toy. Maybe a Titan, so he can go up against Omega Supreme???? 🙏
Note that Icepick was referenced in Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters figure line when a recolour of the Preadacon Blot/Blight was given a Red and Blue Colour scheme just lick Icepick
funny enough DinoKing's team name "Kyoryu Sentai" is similar to the 1992 and 16th Super Sentai team "Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger" which became Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers in America.
This is cool I remember having the original Ice pick and Scowel toys as a kid but I got them when I was so young I don't think it ever connected that the "Skin" and the robot where all meant to be the same toy as I never saw them in the cartoons as a kid but now that I know I might have to go looking in storage to see if I still have them lol
I feel envious, though its weird they're so small... That said TFwiki did say their shells unfortunately didn't age well so maybe its better off I don't track onee down (that and darn GPS)
I remember these. I had Bristleback, Icepick, Scowl, & Wildfly, though I think I may have lost Scowl's robot version at some point. Had I known they were a combiner, I probably would've tried to get the others. Even though they didn't interest me at all.
They were the last original combiner team of the first generation of the Transformers toy line. I had 4 of them, but was never able to find the last two.
woahh I actually know this one but for the Victory side, I love the Dinoforce, seems they became the definitely version as they have a lot more stories and toys and actual animated appearances thanks t TF Victory.
I love the idea of Monstructor, and his colors are the exact brand of late-G1 kooky I live for, but the Dino Force, particularly Kakuryu, are a buncha doofuses after my heart and they are succeeding.
I *really* hope we get a full-sized Monstructor combiner soon. A Titan would be ideal, given his history with Omega Supreme, but I’d take one at regular Combiner Wars scale.

The pretender shells don’t even get used in the combiner. It should’ve been like that one gobot guardian combiner where the gobots wear space suits and they can combine.
I love how the Japanese continuity made the monstructor team more lovable
Halfway through the video I forgot this was a Monsterbots video with all the Dinoforce content.
Was here for the spooky bit, but stayed for the wholesome part 9:45
Ngl, it's been years since i watched your channel (as i outgrew my Transformers obsessed phase). It's good to be back.
A great one! I absolutely love Monstructor and always hope they will get a new Generations toy. Maybe a Titan, so he can go up against Omega Supreme???? 🙏
Thank you for dropping this video it made my day recently I lost my dog to a deadly virus in her body
It's funny that the comics made Monstructor a rival to Omega Supreme considering how MUCH SMALLER the toy was to Omega :p
My 2nd favorite Decepticon combiner after Abominus. Thanks for posting this video. 🤘🤘
lots of great new info here Mr McFreely! I didnt know much at all about Dino-force so this was great.
I was too busy with video games by the time these came out but I definitely would have loved them if I was still playing with toys
Happy Halloween and awesome video! 🎭
What good Halloween basics video today
Note that Icepick was referenced in Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters figure line when a recolour of the Preadacon Blot/Blight was given a Red and Blue Colour scheme just lick Icepick
I hope they make an updated Monstructor without pretender shells and straight transforming into their monster forms
And this is why we need to see Godzilla vs Transformers so badly. Because it would be insane for sure.
And now Dinoking is coming to Earth Wars, what a coincidence
Awesome character and episode. I never knew about him until now.
The Halloween Basics are my favorite episodes
I have never heard of these guys other from legacy but you learn something new everyday on this channel :/
I ❤ the Dinoforce in TF Victory. They were endearing.
Such a fun video! Happy Halloween, Chris!
funny enough DinoKing's team name "Kyoryu Sentai" is similar to the 1992 and 16th Super Sentai team "Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger" which became Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers in America.
I remember having Bristleback and Slog at the time. No memory of the others, maybe they were sold separately here in Italy.
Yeah, they were only sold individually, no giftset of them was available!
YES MONSTRUCTOR MY BELOVED I WOULD HAVE WAITED AN ETERNITY FOR THIS BASICS
I loved these guys and got them one or two at a time during their original run. I'm hopeful they get updated toys soon.
I had almost all of Monstructor when I was young but now the only ones, I have left are Wildfly and Birdbrain.
They were the last original combiner team of the first generation of the Transformers toy line. I had 4 of them, but was never able to find the last two.
Monstructor was the first full combiner I ever got. I keep hoping for a new version of him.
Please please keep up the GREAT WORK!! Love when you drop a new video.
woahh I actually know this one but for the Victory side, I love the Dinoforce, seems they became the definitely version as they have a lot more stories and toys and actual animated appearances thanks t TF Victory.
The new Dinoking set is fun, but I hope that we get a proper sized Monstructor and Dinoking that scales with other combiners in the near future.
I love the idea of Monstructor, and his colors are the exact brand of late-G1 kooky I live for, but the Dino Force, particularly Kakuryu, are a buncha doofuses after my heart and they are succeeding.
What an episode for Halloween Monsters or Dinosaurs. Like any good fan I am a fan of both these characters. That comes from this toy mould.
MONSTRUCTOR feels like an antagonist that would have joined forces with thee monsters seen in humanoids.
I *really* hope we get a full-sized Monstructor combiner soon. A Titan would be ideal, given his history with Omega Supreme, but I’d take one at regular Combiner Wars scale.
On HALLOWEEN,
I hope the basics on Rampage will be uploaded
Bristleback: it's not a good idea to use gold plastic as armor
Slog: he infected me
This Great Universe is Huge my friends. Thanks.
