Awesome video dude! You should definitely do more "how-to" videos like this in the future! To comment on the DayZ Standalone (3rd party) launcher vs. the official DayZ game launcher; I tend to use the 3rd party launcher (DZSA) because it searches and displays servers WAAAAYYY faster than the official launcher. But other than that, I do have to agree that when it comes to mods and PBO errors, the official DayZ game launcher is better at handling them. But to each their own.
DZSA launcher or as Amish described it "Red launcher" goes all the way back to the DayZ Mod from the Arma II era and that's why the majority of us players prefer it because we are used to the first one which looks exactly the same except for the difference in the color around the frame, I think it was green or blue then.
Yeah I remember using that one back in the day. Didn't know it was the same guy. Idk the whole misleading server pop thing just really rubs me the wrong way. I use it occasionally though

Amish I've tried everything you said for the pbo error and it still doesn't work when I go to the workshop folder It does not show the mod even tho I'm subscribed to it
While I agree with you on 90+ percent of things said in this video, one thing stands out as utterly wrong: Using Battlemetrics, a page that sometimes takes 15 mins to update server infos, as a proof of DZSA numbers being wrong is a bit weird. As much as I dislike DZSA for their pay2win model, it is the most accurate display of server stats, and can be used to find servers quickly. Also why tf are people still promoting Spaggies servers, the lagfest from the guy who just blocks you when asking (!) why so many people, including myself as well as various streamers from your very own team, have had issues with warping zeds and lags... I can watch a stream and will take any bets I can tell from a door opening reaction time if it is Spaggies or Zero.
I cant get dayz to work even after countless hours of troubleshooting, following guides, and deleting all dayz and dzsa files and redownloading. Nothing has fixed this pbo error. Am I SOL and have to reinstall windows?
am new to this but i have made a few mods for my self and also helped others but how do i send people the file back so they have it also working because when i send the file back the file no longer works this am not sure why
ooooooh boy this has been a pain in my ass since arma 2 dayZ, connecting to a server in standalone for me is nightmere if its full and there are ques due to almost a guarantee a kick "Battleye not responding", pretty much happens everytime, not mention sometimes i ask the game to join modded server B, it loads mods but then tries to join modded server A, the last one i was on, switching between modded server can be hit and miss, sometimes i have to find the server on the vanilla launcher but it seems to be incapable of handling a simple name search most of the time, So if that happens, i have to open DZSA(modded launcher) find the server with a filter that actually bloody works, join which loads the right mods, it'll crash upon pressing play after getting the battle eye not responding ", that will hopefully make the server show up on the vanilla launcher in the recent tab and join through there.....if that does not work i have to get the IP address of the server off DZSA and direct connect. I was trying get on Kyrtic #2 some modded PVP server some pals play, i'd hit repair on every mod that server was using, cos almost everything i tired was not working, I had to direct connect to finally get past the crashing after kick by battle eye....its so annoying, its like 30 man que or way worse for popular servers, to get that everytime you que and to almost know it will happen 90% of time. I'm not one to break things in anger but yeah dayZ cost keyboard one night, not bad first time in decade. (player kills me, no bother, fair do's, Bugs or errors stop me for playing, I start threatening PC with acid bath lol)
I had this problem nothing worked and a guy on discord told me to click character on main menu and randomize charcter then save and lo and behold problem fixed, 3h of redownloading the game and all mods and it was that easy
Came here with PBO issues and leaving with only skill issues so that's a win

How do you fix "server can't transmit all data; list of required mods might be incomplete" it comes up with the pbo error every time.

How do I get my launcher back? I switched to DZSA and now I can't find the main launcher
If you go into steam and hit play it should come right up. I'd guess you can make a new desktop icon from there too
