So what are you supposed to do when you can't rejoin a previous server because the game says that you have a NEWER version of a mod that's active on the server?
When that happens there isn't much you can do really, you can't easily revert your version of the mod to the older version. Easiest way is informing the server which is running that mod that they need to do an update to the latest version. Server owners usually check for updates daily.

I agree with you on that one, the mod adding and confusing of errors has never been fully addressed. Remember that this is a very old game engine wise in comparison to modern games. Frustrating I know though, sorry video couldnt be of more help.
What if my workshop folders are missing, and when I try to join a server it doesn't show the mods. It just makes me try to join it then I get the error.

For those who want to find the long number of the real mod. Copy the binkey of the mod and go to where the long numbers are and search it in the search menu. It should find it and click on it with the long numbers. 🙃

I literally fought to get past this error for about 7 consecutive hours until someone pointed out this video. Thank you so much. I followed the info on this and was finally able to get past it.
I was able to resolve a Missing PBO error (server has a newer version of the mod) by selecting the server from the larger list of servers instead of from my favorite/recent list. Inside the favorite and recent lists it only lists the required mods from when you last played that server and does not reflect any updates to that server.
If you are launching using the official launcher or dzsa, when you try to connect it should automatically subscribe and download the mods before attempting to connect to the server.
Absolutely no idea why you got so many ads! I dont have any control over that I dont think. I usually get a load when I first start watching youtube for the day and then it calms down :/
Yeah dayz requires steam to be running as the dayz launcher and dzsa launcher use the steam matchmaking apis to find servers and also verify that the version you are playing was bought from steam etc.
My problem is that the server knows which mods I want on the server but it thinks their different mods? Simplified version: the green number on the mods says the exact number of mods I want (and it says the mods I want for example forward operator gear) but when I load into my server it shows a pbo error and it says I don’t have the mods that the server has? Oh and the !Worshop folder dosent even show up, it sends me to the steam workshop folder And yes everything in the batch file is correct only the mods part might be wrong
I did help but was pretty hard to understand at 1st finally got it. I fucking hate having to do this shit just when I bought dayz on another steam account

Yep if the mod is missing it's all good. People seem to run into difficulty when the mod has been updated on the workshop and either the version on their pc is out of date, or the one on the server which is when they typically get these annoying errors.
@@JippyUK and also for some reason the mod does not get activated when joining the server that is using it so I had to activate it manually from the launcher and when joining I use keep current selection, if I join using the setup option the mod will be disabled even if the server need it, it seems to be an issue with the server it self as it think that the mod is not required when launching but when you join the server it does. It's weird

What I did was delete the file while the regular dayz launcher was open an then reinstalled it while the launcher was open off steam

you use file explorer to find mods on !workshop and every mod on workshop has to have a @ at the start
All this for what because I sat there and download dayZ and something went wrong for no reason at all

do you mean the bikey in the key folder? jeeeeez
@@mikecalts it is a folder that holds what are activation keys (I think) and for example they look like this, "Expansion.bikey"
