No one chokes harder than a team that holds spawn successfully for like a minute
They always end up pushing themselves up the other team's ass for some reason instead of just staying positioned where they had been for the past couple of minutes.

That means they were a 4-stack, also. Weird that group leader leaving removes other people WHEN IN A COMP GAME, but it does currently (group members can rejoin and aren't penalized, in case you're curious). That's a bit demoralizing if they were trying (it seems like they were but I wasn't paying super close attention to that).

I have played in every tier from Bronze to Diamond.
And no tier has more heart than gold when it comes to having a leaver.
They're usually sportsman about it too, if the enemy has a leaver, offering them hard achievement help or someone sits out of the game.
And if not, THEY WILL FIGHT, TO THEIR LAST BREATH.
Even won a couple of 4v5's. Okay 1. On Gibraltar, in 2019.
In bronze\silver there's always one last bitch that makes everyone waste time by not leaving🔪

the answer for upsets like this is always the same:
hubris.
the 5er team got super cocky from the get go and thought itd be ez, and that hubris was their demise (plus also super tilt along the way when they realise the 4er team isnt crumbling on their defense)
i have quite a few memories of playing matches with dced teammates or just leavers in my too. though most were just loses.
hollywood before role lock switching from support to hanzo getting 2 elims on dps and reaching point on 3rd round just to lose it *were losing members throughout the rounds
Numbani having to get only 1/3rd of the point for a win cause we full held on defense but lost a members due to unknown reasons. maybe dc. Managed to get the point on the overtime and i think i either dced or my pc just crashed and i had no idea if i got the the win
and blizzard world where solo dps just made my team flame each other so the tank left just before we lost the defense. then we had to attack the point for a good minute while staying alive and getting ults 5v6. then getting stuck in spawn after getting that point till one of the dps left in our team and we managed to outplay them due to them relaxing on us and push till 2nd point cause they decided it's a good idea to go 1 by 1. but after that we couldn't even leave the spawn anymore...
In OW a 4v5 is race of who tilts first.
Yeah sigma never dies in middle ranks the same way orisa never dies in low ranks

True, but the way he stayed alive while Moira was rotating was incredible. Brigitte's healing made him immortal, and the sym/junk got crucial picks whenever possible. This Moira's team, herself included were incredible despite the one man loss. KEEP ON FOCUSING THE TANK GOLD RANKS
An orisa vs orisa matchup is wild to see in lower ranks. Just yesterday our team popped off four ultimates at pretty much the same time and neither one died

Sigma is honestly a powerful tank overall. He's got range, sustain, a shield, two CC abilities (Accretion and Gravitic Flux), and some nasty damage on top of that. And this Sigma knew that; he used his abilities to stay alive as long as he possibly could, and was kept alive by Brig whenever Moira caracoled and vice versa.

Sigma is an actual chad took 2 team wiping ults to kill him, barrage is debatable but it can team wipe in gold. If he hadn't took that many resources they could have one last point, imagine if junk tired at the last hold noone on their team could stop it they don't have suzu or immortality
Tbf they have 2 shields, a fade, and a teleporter to play around a Junk ult (plus shooting at it), but your point about wasting resources still holds.
They got blessed by the spirit of the laggy Soldier
All 4 of those players deserves a rank up for just this game alone😂 that was a god tier gold rank tho. Ahh I miss gold sometimes lol.
If they don't rank up from that game alone, I will rage for them
naw, the game will later que you up with bronze players doing their placement matches several times in a row, then de-rank you for not carrying those players.
It's ridiculous really, we had a soldier who confirmed they were bronze in console, doing placement matches in a plat game. they couldn't keep up, we lost, de-rank.
The games so hot garbage for this in ranking you based on the whole team fight and if you lost, instead of individually checking your performance.
It's easy to get around it if your a top 500 or grandmaster player, but if your skill level is diamond, actually getting into diamond is so hard.

I was flaming the brig pick on defense against the pharah mercy saying “ohhhh if they went bap they actually win the game”
And then they won the game with brig. The pharah choked so hard.
If you’re good landing your whip shots then playing against Pharah isn’t that hard Ngl.
Her healing is pretty good and utility.
They won against Pharah with Brig and Symm while also being down a player. They were just the better team.

The times i got rolled by a team with one less player is sad. If they decide to play, they usually play their hearts out while the other team thinks it's gonna be an easy win. Props to this team not giving up

Idk if it’s just my bad luck but I get ALOT of leavers in my gold games. It was so bad at one point that I deranked all the way to silver because someone left on my team for multiple games in a row. Don’t remember the exact number but it had to be close to like 15 games in a row with a leaver no joke I wish I had them recorded…. Gold is FILLED with this it can’t just be me right
I’m gold right now and you’re 100% right. I had one night where there were 5 leavers in my games, thankfully not all of them were on my team, but it’s still so frustrating. I wish blizzard would start perma banning leavers from comp. I don’t even care if it’s their internet or lag or whatever, we shouldn’t have to suffer and derank because someone else doesn’t know what an ethernet cable is!
@@eriny2kOnly problem with that is that sometimes leavers come back. Like, I get it if Blizzard could tell who actually leaves the game manually to they do that, but doing that to people who lag out can hurt those people.
I think originally when Moira was looking up to the top left, they were looking out cause they were worried for a possible flank (that did end up happening after they looked away
I hate losing a close 4v5 because my teammate left after feeding first push flaming everyone else
I also had a time when I experienced team work in bronze 5 where I started as Moira will a comp of sigma, junkrat, Solder and mercy where did badly on the first round and the solder decided to take charge.The junkrat was told to continue playing away from the team so she switched to Sojourn, I was given the responsibility to watch Mercy and Sigma since we had a very brave mercy so I played Baptist and the mercy played damage boost the solder and heal the rest. The rest of the game went smoothly but I was shocked by the level of teamwork in bronze even though I was a new player back then
They basically ran a goats style bunker comp
This is great to see. I have lost some 4v5s because of teammates being too cocky and thinking they can get a 1v1 but they do it over and over again. I've seen that happen in this game with the enemy Moira. Instead of staying with their team and healing/pushing as a group, they go for the flank kills solo and end up dying.

Literally nothing to really joke about here. It was a really good overall match especially for a 4v5
Gotta say, that was a nice Moira gameplay for a gold player. Healing was good, positioning was ok, ults were pretty good and I like how agressive they were by putting pressure on the backline.
To be honest you were a little harsh on this Moira, they do not look gold at all. They’re awareness is up there and their movement is pretty good
He barely criticizes the Moira Instead is talking about the 4v5 the whole time.
This is one of the best games we've ever watched I think

How to win a lop sided match im a nutshell. 5v4: decide as a team who you wanna isolate, and jump him 4v1. Now it's a 4v4. Isolate your individual 1v1 and win it. Now you've won a team fight congrats 👏🏾🎉. Stack your ults from there the game plan is to win the fight using as few ults as possible. Logically speaking the easiest way to do that is trade 1 ult per fight for 1 guaranteed pick then rinse and repeat.

Ironically I am gold 3 and had one of my dps disconnect in one of my games today but we ended up winning through some needed hero changes and some different strategies to make up for the lack of dps on our team

tbh other team threw with dva and not running pharmercy. If Dva was ram or orisa and there was a mercy pocket, game would of been entirely different.

This Moira got plenty of elims. If she tried to DPS flank like the enemy Moira was, the rest of her team taking the 3v5 with only Brig heals would probably not have gone well
@@thelastoutlaw2925 I have thrown games and still won. Just because you can win out of spite doesn't mean it's effective, but I agree sometimes you should heal, I still think they would have been more effective if they squeezed more damage. Generally it's a waste to heal right click and heal orb at the same time when you can literally do both damage and healing at the same time. Maximizing heals like that is only ever necessary when someone like the tank is getting bursted down and requires that insane amount of burst healing.
@@baileypiotrowski Yeah that's true, I still think they should have done more damage though, for example healing with right click AND Healing orb is a waste of resources when you can do damage AND heal at the same time with the orb.
