Story Summary :-
With the death of Op's parents, Op left her home to do a job in the city and changed to a humble lifestyle. Because she grew up rich, she owned an ancestral house, which was a sort of heritage. Op's husband wanted to marry Op, but his mom was quite judgmental, considering her poor. Somehow she got convinced, but she nitpicked Op every time. She gave him an ultimatum to decide the dress and venue her way. Op went to take her mom's dress, noticed her garden, and
decided on it as her wedding venue. Impressed by this, her mother-in-law went to the venue, but she was denied entry into her late father's room, which was liked by her mother-in-law. She fainted at Op's wedding, announcing the company's loss, which led them to give in their cottage house that was promised to Op. Op now found that their own house was sold, so they moved into Op's place. Her MIL dominating the house let her fight and op eavesdropped on the conversation. Her husband was onto something, so she kept her eye on him and noticed that he had papers that he planned to scam OP. When they reached the cottage house in a foreign country, Op was made to sign the paper in the name of the gifting cottage, but the papers were already replaced. When they returned to the so-called home, OP called caretakers to throw out their belongings and replace the locks.

good for o.p my only displeasure is we never got an update on the aftermath of what happened after o.p's revenge since she stated she wont be writing any more updates. i would have loved to have know if she was able to sue i'd also would of loved to have heard if the ex hubby and mil did any more begging or dug themselves into more trouble and if jail time happen.

If this were a real situation, their recorded admission that they tried to swindle her out of her house is enough to put them in jail. Other than that, she did the best possible thing she could. My favorite part was when her husband said, "how can you do this to us?" Excuse me? You just admitted to trying to cheat her out of her house! More like, "how can you do this to her!"

Lawyer or not, OP's husband and OP's MIL would not be able to legally take OP's house. She would need to sign it over to them. So apparently they planned to get her drunk and sign away the house by claiming she was signing to own the cottage. Excellent - a prenup. What were the papers she signed though?
They were fake documents made by her dad's lawyer. I can't remember what they said but it wasn't good. But close enough to get op to have a chance to win and keep her home. My question is why would a lawyer risk his law license and submit fake documents to the courts?
She should have quietly torn up the marriage registration papers, then waited to see what happened, and if they proved to be scammers walked away!

This story doesn't make sense. If she has a prenup, why did she do that fake document? And would a legitimate lawyer actually make a fake document to replace an original? Wouldn't that jeopardise his law license? Not that I know much about that field.
Because she stated she didn't quite read them, considering she asked him to figure out what they were. The fakes were likely an insurance, since if the real ones just went missing, they'd know they'd been found out. No idea on the fake doc thing though. Though if the papers were obviously fake, they likely couldn't be traced back to him nor would they be legally binding, thus not illegal? Don't quote me on that, lol.
