I'm from Caldwell County, but my dad is from Hickory, so I lived in Hickory, and nearby Catawba County areas growing up...my grandma even lived across from LR for most of my childhood. The quadrant system has always confused me; it's so easy to get lost in Hickory, even though I have been going down those streets my whole life. I LOVE Union Square, it's so charming, and I am really impressed with what the city has done there.

The schools are great all over the Catawba area - NW Hickory, in particular, has great public school and private school options! Preschool - 12th, and LR University is an excellent school in NW Hickory as well.
