  • After our last episode where we surfaced the wonderful world of Italian wine of all styles, today we’re going to be digging deeper into one specific type of vino from Italy, sparkling wine. Even though, it could well be quite a stretch to call Italian sparkling wine one single wine style. Because as we will see Italian bubblies vary greatly in how they look, what they taste like, their sweetness levels, their color, how much bubbles they have even, how expensive or cheap they are etc. Like everything in Italy when it comes to wine, variety is the key word, immense variety. So let’s have a look at all key styles of Italian bubblies and learn which one you should really be paying more attention to, beyond just the classic mass-produced global star styles everyone knowns about… Because there’s quite a lot to cover, at least 5 key style of Italian sparklings, this is going to be a two-part video about bubblies, and here we’ll cover essential knowledge you must have about Italian white bubblies from Prosecco as well as red Frizzantes from Lambrusco.

Used to drink this while discovering great new bands and art in random warehouses all over Brooklyn.

As always, great video. I do enjoy a dry Lambrusco, and the Prosecco from Valdobbiadene (Bisol).... look forward on hearing more on Franciacorta and other frizzante like a Brachetto d’Acqui. 🍷🍷. Cheers!

Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia are the 2 region were you produce prosecco.
