      It's true that many people do eat snacks in the movie theater or at home while watching a movie, but if you do give them popcorn or any crunchy snacks, be aware that the sound of them eating will come through the microphone. It may be off-putting to some.
      I don't like sitting with anyone who chews, smacks, or slurps loudly in person.
      When these guys and Ms. Sobia try new foods and are wearing a mic on their clothing, the smacking and slurping can be pretty loud and annoying to _me_ . I'm speaking for myself, no one else.
      It'll be even louder with these mics. Eating may keep them from talking as much, but still.... the eating noise is something to consider turning the mic down for.

    Fun fact: the goat leg that fell on the sunroof was real, and was bought from a local butcher. The sunroof window wasn't supposed to break when the T-Rex busted through it, so the look of terror on the kids' faces in that scene is real because they were almost crushed, and the sharp edges where it broke could have injured them. Also, the raptors are based on the Deinonychus, but Spielberg thought Velociraptor sounded cooler.

    • @scottb3034
      @scottb3034 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the sunroof fact is false and needs to stop being perpetuated.
      the sunroof was meant to and designed to do that, it was storyboarded to do that. what wasn't supposed to happen was the rex wasn't supposed to lose a tooth and a SMALL part of the bubble broke off from the main piece. both things are visible for part of the shot. you realize if they really put children in danger their careers would have been toast and they and the studio would have been sued.
      a malfunctioning animatronic can kill someone and they designed a killswitch if it were to go haywire.
      STOP SAYING THIS BS.
      Deinonychus in the books was based on Deinonychus which were named Velociraptor antirrhopus instead of Deinonychus antirrhopus in Greg Paul's art book which was a source for the novel. The movie raptors are based on achillobator.

    Geez this movie still holds up so well. One of the best adventure movies ever made.
    This movie was actually ahead of its time scientifically, too. The notion that birds evolved from dinosaurs was still quite young at this time, and didn't have mainstream scientific acceptance yet. Whereas now, we know that birds ARE dinosaurs; they're the last living members of that lineage. The book and movie essentially predicted how we'd come to view dinosaurs in the future.

    • @Cinephilesreact786
      @Cinephilesreact786  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Indeed 😊

    • @johnnehrich9601
      @johnnehrich9601 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, the book/movie got some things right but science has also advanced since then. We know that many if not most dinos were feathered, and we know the colors of some of these (colorful). And the main body of dinos did not go extinct due to not fitting into the environment but that a 6-mile wide comet or asteroid hit the coast of Mexico 66-65 million years ago. Only the tiny (at the time) mammals and birds, plus animals like regular reptiles with slow metabolism survived. (The boy does hint at this as they are getting in the cars.)

    • @seraphinaaizen6278
      @seraphinaaizen6278 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johnnehrich9601 Well, the asteroid impact was pretty well known at that point. I don't think it was even controversial at the time to suggest that dinosaurs were wiped out by an asteroid impact and it was the leading hypothesis at the time. The link to birds was limited to whatever dinosaurs survived that.

    • @johnnehrich9601
      @johnnehrich9601 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@seraphinaaizen6278 The theory took a few decades to go from tentative to definite, gradually becoming more and more accepted. It was first proposed in 1980, the paper in the scientific journal on the crater published in 1991, but it wasn't until 2010, scientists officially accepted it. But it took longer to be accepted in popular culture.
      The idea how closely birds were related certainly began with Archaeopteryx, discovered right after Darwin published his book. The theory was cemented with the 1990's finding of the China fossils with feather impressions, and the quill knobs on the velociraptor forearms. But in between, dinos went from being thought to be sluggish swamp dwellers to warm-blooded (at least some). Also the fused clavicle, the wishbone, was missing from the nearest dino relatives, which to scientists felt was vital - since then, they have found it on these fossils, it was just so fragile, it didn't survive as well as bigger bones.

    • @Princess_Celestia_
      @Princess_Celestia_ ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@johnnehrich9601 "We know that many if not most"
      Umm, that's not true and you know it. Most dinosaurs where devoid of feathers, only about 30 genera out of some 900+ genera of none-avian dinosaurs had feathers, this is based on the skin impression fossils. So no, most dinosaurs where devoid of feathers.

    This was so entertaining to watch the two of your reactions! 💕
    This movie came out 30 yrs ago, so imagine how even more frightening it was back then!!😳🫣👏

    28:48 just like to point out a trivia here: don't know if they used the on set audio, but the kids were actually terrified to death when the couple hundred pounds animatronic fell on them and their screaming was 100% genuine

    That awe and childlike wonder they had when seeing the Brachiosaurus for the first time followed by the view of all the other dinosaurs is just so damn magical. It's what *everyone* experienced when seeing this movie for the first time

    I can’t wait to see the second half of this video. This is such a good idea that you guys have thought of. I’m going to suggest the titanic as one of the movies you should show them. The one that was released in 1997 with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

    It’s so nice to watch people who don’t need EVERYTHING explained to them watch this film!
    To elaborate, most other reactions I’ve seen for this, people seem to need it explained to them that Nedry was refusing to pay the bill even though he just got all that money, because he’s a greedy piece of work.

    This is what Jurassic Park used to be. A thrilling, edge of your seat movie on film. The adventure and terror. Now a day's we just have a bunch of aggressive Barney's. Depending on your generation that's still quite scary though...

    The "fatty guy" isnt his son, he just said that because ge was lecturing him.
    The storm wasnt originally in the script but they filmed in hawaii which was hit by a hurricane when they were filming and it destroyed some of the sets so they wrote it into the movie, steven Spielberg stayed up all night playing games with the kids to keep their minds off the storm.
    The scene where the T-Rex cause the roof of the car to fall on the kids wasnt supposed to happen either but the T-Rex malfunctioned and pushed dowb too hard on the roof so that is the kids genuine reaction.

    When a movie is this good, we want to see more of our guys’ reactions, so if you need to break it up, then do what you must. Sometimes when you cram a 2 hour movie in 30 or 40 minutes, you can lose so much valuable content. Remember, you will never please everyone. Those viewers too impatient to wait for the 2nd part and threaten to unsubscribe, were not true fans. Love is patient. Fans don’t threaten or bully. Random viewers do. And when a person says they don’t have time to watch the full reactions, they can always fast forward or break it up into whatever is manageable for them. My only suggestion is to always label the 1st part, so viewers know beforehand that it is split into 2 parts. That way, they won’t be disappointed when the 1st part ends and they find they have to wait. They can make a conscious decision to delay watching until both episodes are available. Continue doing a wonderful job. Maybe Auntie Sobia can sit in with the guys too? All 3 would be fantastic. 😊

    Oh my god ... Their reaction to the Brachiosaur (which happens to look suspiciously like a Giraffatitan ;) ) is SO on point with 12 year old me siitting in the cinema ... Or my daughter first watching this scene at around 4 years old ;) .
