Can you imagine boarding a plane and right before landing, the pilot says, "Which runway are we supposed to land on?" That happens pretty much never, because pilots plan everything out before they even take off. So there's no reason why drivers can't do that. I never have this problem because I look at a map, plan my route and use a GPS if I'm unfamiliar with the area. I don't feel sorry for people who are too disorganized and thoughtless to plan ahead and end up missing their turn.
Regardless of the situation....Never give an inch to people who threaten you with their vehicle. Or try to use your natural desire for safety against you.
It is much safer just to let them in instead of risking causing an accident. Don't let your ego get in the way of your safety. Also, where was the threat here?

@@johnwick-ii6il In my experience, trying to box in bad drivers or not letting them in, only makes them angry and leads to road rage. See how the other driver backed off as soon as they knew the bad driver was going to cut them off. Had they sped up or gave them no room, they probably would have caused an accident. I know it Dosent feel good to allow these drivers to do this to you, but it is much "safer." Again, don't let your ego cloud your judgement.

I have no obligation to let them in. They screwed up, why should it be on ME to fix their mistake? It shouldn't. Let them fix or eat their own mistake! It's not my responsibility to hold their hand.

Would your choice be to stop, block the lane, turn on your signal and patiently wait while traffic chokes up behind you? None of us have a clue if this was intentional. What we DO know is the the other driver intentionally blocked him. So yeah, ticket.

Looks to me like: nothing fundamentally wrong here, so you’re being a Karen! Most likely it was: two lanes are exiting; as it should be the left lane was going a little faster on the highway just exited; for whatever, and possibly completely reasonable/innocent reason, this person was in the left of two exiting lanes; perhaps they were unfamiliar with the fact that the two lanes completely diverge into a left and right turn lane at the end of this exit, and so they were incorrectly in the left lane for their intended right turn; perhaps there was some snafu, like lack of advance notice from their GPS, or a sudden realization that they need to turn right instead of left. Whatever the case, clearly they made a reasonable move in the end by not forcing themselves in front of every possible person on the right; instead, they eased off and got to the right BEHIND the most affected person on the right, and did so very calmly and smoothly. I’d say this vid is a MAJOR FAIL OF ATTITUDE AND HAVING REASONABLE ON-THE-ROAD GRACE AND TEAM SPIRIT, A*S*S*uming things that you have NO IDEA what’s really going on in someone’s mentality or motives. And so: YOU are a BIG part of the problem on our roads nationwide these days!!!

What if your wife is delivering a child and you find out some other woman in the next room is delivering faster than your wife? Are you going to shake her or beat her to make her push harder? zipper merge folks. Don't let your emotions control your behavior especially out on the roads. Demanding everyone merge half a mile ahead or be banned from merging is childish. Zipper merge, look it up. I know girls mature faster than boys, but don't sweat the small stuff so much. Worrying about people getting ahead of you on the road is like worrying about people getting ahead of you in life. It's not a good look.
