Just tried this recipe for the first time. The donuts turned out perfectly! Light and tasty. I tossed them in honey and cinnamon. Super-easy to make. I didn’t have a piping bag and used a Ziplock instead with no problems. Waiting two hours for the dough to rise was the hardest part - otherwise, putting the mixture took a minute. Excellent recipe.
I’m Turkish and in my country those are called “Lokma”. Usually there are trucks that sells those. Normally we wouldn’t add anyting other than it’s syrup but in late years, filling them with cream and topping with chocolate, Oreo, etc. became really popular. You’d see too many Lokma shops in Turkey.
Actually, I thought they were the "donut holes" you can also sometimes get at shopping malls; well, used to... Donuts usually have the holes in the centre.

it's called "Zalabya" in Egypt not zlaba.. and we eat it either with sugar syrup or with powdered sugar and in some places as a modern thing we eat it with white and dark chocolate or with caramel.. but the syrupy one is the traditional one

I never made donuts before but these were tastier than I expected! I tried honey glaze, maple syrup, and just plain sugar. I couldn't get them to look quite as uniform as in the video, and putting the dough into the bag was hard. But thank you for sharing! For the glaze you can mix sugar with hot water and rose water. Its delicious, thats how we do in middle east😃 good job!

this is a popular Arabian dessert which is called loukmat el qadi it was described bu Al-Baghdadi as early as the 13th century , i really love it and i"m happy that it began to spread around the world :) :)

Theese work great thank you I made them vegan and they still work just sub milk for almond milk original and it works and then I made apple syrup and it works good with them
