It's nearing end of 2024 and I am still rocking these. Easily one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have about 7 or 8 other headphones laying around all of them $200-$500 range but these are the ones I use the most.
PSA because the content creator is a bit ignorant, hearing him say his mids were muddy was a giveaway. you need to have an amp, preamp, something, to drive these headphones properly. They’re high impedance, if you don’t have the right equipment to drive the headphones, the audio will be quiet, not detailed etc. You can’t just plug these into your pc’s 3.5 jack and be off and ready. Hopefully this comment helps someone and the channel doesn’t delete it:/

Hi, great video, in the U.K. It's about £140 is about right for this quality of phone, it's quite a neutral phone , yes may have adjust eq to enhance the bass, yes the treble is great , , I do also have 6xx with custom cans bass mod which sounds petty good, I have 2 systems and use it on my Cambridge audio sonata system , where as I use my 6xx on my Rotel A11 and I use my hd660s on my ifi zen v2 dac with true bass button on , regards Mark
Excellent review I will pick these up when I get my first check later this month. Now that I have a blue yeti orb really need a good set of cans to pair with them and this looks likes its it. :)
you are comparing studio grade headphones to gaming headsets. this isn't a headset like you've said a couple of times, they're just headphones. they're not supposed to have controls and punchy bass. do not compare these to gaming headsets. thanks
Jeesh what's the problem with comparing it to gaming headsets? I'm sure many people (including me) already have gaming headsets, and wanna upgrade/compare them to studio headphones.
I am building a new gaming setup this week, basically building my dream setup, custom liquid watercooling with bent acrylic hardline tubing, a distro plate, running a 4090 and 14900ks etc. and I dont know much about the Audio side of things, ive just used Astro A50's since 2020, but ended up buying a pair of these HD560S's for headphones and for Speakers i grabbed a set of Edifier R1280Ts , which I planned on running through a Soundblaster GC7 USB Soundcard Amp/Dac , can anyone offer any insights?
What was the adapter and mic used in the test? I have been looking for one because i was worried about the whole lock switch they have on the headset and didn't want to deal with returning and figuring out which is compatible

Adapter: 2.5 to 3.5
Does anyone can suggest any mic for hd560s??not expensive
If not expensive is the most important for u id go with the sudotack st-800, only $50 and it even comes with a mic arm (hasnt failed me yet)
If u on ps5 I use the razor mini it gets the job done
fifine am8
Didnt they get "downgraded"? I heard 2023 version made it less detailed and less treble..
Also changed the cushion with cheaper stuff
I have the new ones and they sound pretty good as is plus you can change the earpads if you want something different
How does they compare to the most mainstream wireless solution like momentum4?
