    I have an '89 TSi with a 19c turbo. I have a MSD box and a manual boost controller with boost set at 20psi. Tops out at 155mph in 5th gear. I've owned it since '97. Second owner.

    Very cool car, worst seats I have ever seen. I will be following. I have a 89 that’s completely unmodified so will be slowing intergrading some of your parts and ideas...

    Good call on not replacing the seats and having them reupholstered!! Station/Conquest seats are some beautiful and damned comfortable seats, even when the cushioning / padding is beyond broken in 😁

    Definitely definitely definitely get at least the engine temp and oil pressure gauges working. If everything is non-functional , now is the time to go full custom within that bezel though, if you're into that sort of look. It's a nice size so you can get a bunch of 1.5 inch gauges and a nice size Speedo with a smaller RPM with and run an external shift light in the corner where the pillar and dashboard meet....
    That's just my .02¢......You know that saying about opinions tho, right?!?! 😊😊😂😂😂....
    Best Always,
    Joe

      LOL of course that is definitely going to be my next step every gauge that is in the cluster is going to get replaced with a aftermarket one and I want to make it look clean I have some pictures for inspiration LOL

    Yank that AC stuff out. I know you're in Florida but if power and response is your main goal, you're robbing yourself of easy and free power...even though it's there and not charged, so the compressor isn't being turned turned on, there still are free gains in it's removal. sorry for the multiple comments but I need to come in as the video goes otherwise I'll forget all the things I wanted to mention on. I'm not knocking your ride though one bit. Believe me, there are no better cars in my opinion. Been in love with them, since the first time I saw one.

    Two questions for ya. How long have you owned the car? And second, are you interested in constructive criticism? If not no worries, but if you are I had a few thoughts just seeing the engine bay and some points you didn't talk about.

      @@legionelitemotorsports2096 I just noticed that you have no crankcase ventilation under boost and with your car so far from stock that is really something you should address.

    • @legionelitemotorsports2096
      @legionelitemotorsports2096  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      mangledbmx Oh yes definitely that makes sense the engine itself is actually bone dry stock except for head gasket and ARP head studs only vents I have is one for the oil pan and one for the valve cover

    • @mangledbmx
      @mangledbmx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@legionelitemotorsports2096 With the size of your turbo, the fact that your multiport injected, and I can only assume your running atleast stock or higher boost you definitely will want some decent catch can / ventilation setup. Without it you are going to have issues with blowby and other stuff. In the video your rear ventilation port is just open to the air so I can only imagine that is allowing oil vapors out into your engine bay and secondly isn't doing a good job of crank case ventilation. Trust me, I need to tackle this problem as well. Currently my catch can setup isn't big enough and I'm running a stock internal motor with a s16g running 15psi.

      mangledbmx it’s a 70 A.R. ball bearing turbo The equivalent of A GT 35R but yes I have some future plans for that in my current set up I don’t get that much blow bye but in general I’m definitely going to address it in the next couple of videos The piston rings I have are pretty decent
