Brother owns one of the KB Starions. Done a lot of racing in NZ, currently runs an early Evo engine (Galant VR4) as Kevin mentioned they should have had these fitted in the first instance.
Knocks out 400 horse and runs far bigger tyres than in its early days. Has a wing hanging off its ass now a well sorted and reliable rocket.

    貴重な動画を見ることが出来て、感動しています。
     私もスタリオンGSR-Ⅱを所有していました。
     海外でも、スタリオンを愛してくれている人がいることを嬉しく思います。

Unless you have driven a Mitsubishi Starion in anger on a race track, you just wont understand how awesome the Starion (with LSD Standard model) really is to drive. I was able to top 240KPH on the back straight of Sandown with a AIR to Liquid I/C and standard boost back in 80's. KB & Brad are legends in my book. Sold my Nissan Skyline but will always have my Starion. Thanks Super100mph!!

I've been wanting a widebody version for year's.
They are incredibly reliable cars, no doubt because they house a 4G63 turbocharged motor in only a single overhead camshaft guise.
Mitsubishi was throwing tonnes of money at them throughout it's production cycle, so they were over engineered.
They had an enormous amount of victories in Rally's & Motorsports, about 22 in major championship's all up.
But everyone was claiming that the AE86 introduced the world to drifting, it's not true as the Starion could drift really well & came out a full year earlier plus it enjoyed alot more victories than the AE86 did across it's production cycle.

They are pretty nice cars, I have had the honor of driving one recently and wish they would revive the platform in modern day, and not as an suv or crossover, but as a serious turbo rwd sports coupe they were truly competitive cars for the time.

This is great I thought all the old Channel 7 tapes of Amaroo Park were lost.

Hi There, we are doing all we can to restore Amaroo Park races from our collection of VHS tapes, it's hard work but we are getting there. Amaroo was a big part of motorsport when I grew up, our mission is to restore as many as possible over the coming months for all to enjoy.

@@Super100MPH Awesome job i never knew that the narrow bodies were such bad ass cars, man watching this race makes me love my 87 Starion/Conquest Tsi w/SHP wheel pckge. even more, my uncle had a 87 Turbo Conquest narrow body, back in 88-to the early 90's and i know it was fast in a straight line, but had no idea it could maneuver around a track like this! this is incredible stuff thanks for posting!

Kevin Bartlett and Brad Jones, thoroughly professional and considerate drivers, giving a fight to the finish you will NEVER see in todays utterly boring Supercar processions where passing in the pits is considered exciting. I have a well prepared JA Starion so I know how good they are to compete in.

Are these starion equipped with the 2 liters engine or is it the 2.6 ?

      they have 2.6 liter engines

@Birdy Wirdy The US model had the 2.6. Australia got the 2.0 Litre. Mitsubishi made some great cars back then, the Scorpion was not too different from the Starion and most of the development of the Starion came from the GJ series of Scorpion.
