For those who don't like the taste of banana in smoothies, blending a half or a whole avocado (depending on serving size) gives that thick, creamy texture, adds a ton of fiber and healthy fats, and makes your smoothies and smoothie bowls way more filling. It also does not affect the taste and really helps to enhance the flavors of the other fruits you incorporate. Happy eating!

Holy shit! I'm from Brazil and this is the true Brazilian açaí. I've been watching videos of people doing it and they actually put lots of diferent berrys and add a little bit of açaí juice. That's not açaí at all, that's a fruit mix or something.

Living Healthy With Chocolate its amazing. There they make it in so many differents ways. With tapioca was my favorite. The best acai ks from a place called waku sese. I have taken the acai from the tree and help make the polpa. When you go there make sure to try others amazing things like tucuma, tacaca, cupuacu and also the fishes 😍 I love Amazonas!!! My dream would be someday bring tucuma to the world.

I'm from Pará, where almost 80% of açaí is collected. And this isn't the "original" açaí. Here in the north of Brazil, actually or we eat açaí as a dessert with sugar and some flour(mandioca or tapioca) or we eat as a side without any sugar with a very salty food(fish, shirmps or jerk beef). But don't worry most Brazilians didn't know also. So it's completely fine.

FYI: acai palm tree IS NOT NATIVE TO BRAZIL, but to the AMAZON REGION which is spread across 9 countries in South America. my husband was born and raised in a tribal village in the middle of the Amazon rainforest in the South of Suriname, where acai has been consumed for centuries. Matter of fact we distribute it in Hong Kong straight from there. traditional, pure, no additives.

roberta boffo ok , but 60% of Brazil is the Amazon florest , and keep in mind Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world. And the majority of the Amazon florest is also in Brazil . That being said, she’s not wrong , açaí palm tree is native to Brazil . And it’s also native to another countries like Peru , Colombia, Ecuador...

Hi Stella, this recipe makes 1 serving so you can eat it all :) If you prefer to make less, you can add just 1 pack of acai and half large banana instead.
I think adding avocado would be awesome! But it may also make it less sweet, so you may want to add some honey or maple syrup (just a little).
Let me know how it goes after you make it! ❤️💋

Hey Adriana you should display the name correctly. Obviously American may not know the difference, but it’s always good to remember the right way to write the name. The letter “ç” is not completely unknown by American since it’s quite common in French language. You should be proud for being able to write correctly the Portuguese names

Thank you for your suggestion and I totally agree. The problem is that google and other sources wouldn't recognize the word and my video would go unseen 😒

I was in Brazil last november, LOVED acai and ate in as many presentations as I could. However living in Mexico is hard to find acai. I've only seen in the supermarket in powder presentation and been hesitant about buying it because I wouldn't know how to prepare it :(

You could add other frozen fruits and the powder as well. It may not taste like the puree açaí bowls but it will be pretty good :)

If you make this from powder instead of frozen pulp, could you do it in a similar fashion, just makes some frozen cubes of fruit juice or something to hydrate the powder a long with a splash of water or coconut milk? What would you recommend? Thank you for this recipe! Much love from Norway :)

Interesting idea! I think you should give it a try to see how it goes. I think it may taste great too, but the taste will definitely be different than the one I'm making here.
