They need new writers, and by new I mean the ones who wrote 1 and 2.
BL1 had literally no story. Except for the knoxx DLC
@@nicholasmorin32 and it was still much more enjoyable than the entire BL3 storyline (minus the Krieg DLC, that one seemed solid).
Tales from the borderlands had proper writing, then they handed it off to the BL3 team and now hardly anyone wants to play the new one. Rhys isn't even the same character anymore.

@@thewarrior1045 100% this. In-fact, I go even further: Borderlands as a franchise has been very mid outside of BL2. BL2 was fantastic in just about every way I can think, especially if we look at the gameplay as a product of its time and don't judge it too harshly by today's standards.

Borderlands story was a dogshit flavored cupcake but the gameplay, music, guns, enemies, dialogue, and new characters (not you ava) were great.

Now that they are free of Embracer group I definitely see them making a BL4. But I don't think they can do better than Borderlands 3 tbh.

If MMO Borderlands will happen - i’m not following Borderlands anymore. HELL, i will despise 2K and Gearbox if they do that, because that will be the worst move to make right now. Aka - make borderlands F2P MMO with a lot of in app purchases, not including the fucking dlcs. They would be completely out of their fucking minds.

An MMO? Um...no, that wouldn't work. No one could play a Siren, due to the "Only 7 in the universe" rule (Was 6, but Phase Leech was released from the vault on Nekrotefeyo by Typhon and his Wife.)
Until Randy Pitchford steps down the studio will be rotten. Awful writing and will take years to have a game with worthwhile gameplay. His track record running Gearbox has been atrocious for the past decade
The gameplay of 3 was essentially the same as 2. The writing was horrible but I don’t really understand the gameplay complaints
@@dylanwinter6313 drop rates, difficulty scaling, and endgame (or lacktherof) were the main problems on launch. Game is fantastic now, you just have to mute the characters and skip cutscenes

Destiny is about dead can we stop complaining the two games I paid full price for D1 and D2 Iplat trophies on both stopped playing years ago tried it there’s no way a old new play can get into it so no micro transactions no live service Randy ain’t no Luke smith or who ever runs Destiny now and who want a game full of elite players! Borderlands is a blow off dream game love it to pieces!
