That came out AMAZING, that white with gold rims works SO good on the freshened up "glass". I have a one of these in REALLY bad shape, gives me so many ideas. I need to try restoring it.
Just watched this video. This is the third Matchbox casting that I had to look for and buy on eBay that you have restored/customized. I wasn't that much into Matchbox but I am now!!! Thank you for the videos 👍.
Would be cool if it could be made to look exactly like the glorious concept car - but that would require a non-coloured window-piece, exact replica wheels and chrome interior, so I think you made it look as good as is possible with what is available. Way better than the salmon pink I used to have back i the day. Great job!

The Marzal came in Platinum and white and with black accents including the funky rear hatch cover. The wheels help with the yellow windscreen and doors. Your custom looks like it should have been made by Matchbox.😄👍🏻👍🏻
Looks absolutely fantastic! The gold wheels work well and are perfect for the era the car was made. Glad you went with authenticity and did it in the white 😊 Would love to see if you can do the "dart shaped" Alfa Carabo concept car to go with it! It was a metallic darkish green with a bronze-like tint on the windows. Usually found in a metallic fuchsia pink with a yellow base. Perhaps sometime Rob, I will pop one of mine in a box and send with a few surprises ? 👍

Wow! I am so used to seeing people prime with Tamiya fine white that I was literally shocked to see that you had done it in a gloss white at the end! Very well done. I wish that Lesney had released this with a clear canopy. The detail work you did is sorta lost behind the yellow glass. As for the exterior I love the wheels. I think I would have painted the recessed area behind the headlights and tail lights black. But only because you went to allo the work of adding those detailed elements. I need to find a Marzal. That looked like a lot of fun!
I've only just seen this Vlog - when you were spraying the undercoat on I thought it looked good nice and white. So I was wondering when you were going to spray a car white. I didn't have to wait very long about 2 second's LoL.
Hello Rob, I am so glad you painted the model in the prototype colour white. The car looks so much better in that finish and with the tan interior and new wheels. excellent. With the other one, I don't why, but how about a weird police car? At least Matchbox didn't paint the car in green and white as they did with the Dinky version.
Brilliant job Rob, one of your best yet! Perfect combo of paint colour and wheels to go with the yellow windscreen. BTW 1 cm is roughly equivalent to 3/8ths of an inch, 1/2 inch is 12.7 mm. I grew up in the 70's during metrication here in Aus so I'm pretty good with both systems of measurement and converting either way.
I like the wheels, they compliment the glass shade. Having said that I prefer clear glass, matchbox used lots of shade in the glass for some reason. In 1969 when I was 11 playing matchbox, we never saw lambs let alone yellow windows. Rob, great item as usual and agree the white looks fresh and new. Glad it's not covered in matchbox stickers that always looked tatty and playworn with weeks of ownership.

I love that Lesney gave the Marzal casting a license plate. I suspect the actual car not only doesn't have one, but doesn't even have a place to mount one. :)
Bet you wouldn't know this, but Lesney Matchbox ACTUALLY owned the numbers used on their models and none were ever used on real 1:1 cars, certainly not in the United Kingdom.

When I look at it i see a lot of dmc12 in the shape of the body and the way the doors come up. I wonder if john delorean took some ideas from it.
