I did 41-162... Always get new wires and insulators because they will break.. sometimes we you can reuse the insulators but they're probably going to get a little damage taking them off
I normally use oem plugs I have a 2003 Silverado 5.3 and when I did my first tuneup the original plugs that came out were platinum but I think a few years later is when GM switched to iridium but I decided to go with the E3 due to a sale at autozone for like $5.99 each there were a lot of bad reviews on them I’m guessing that some engines don’t run good with them but it was a very good choice in the end as it seems as if the vortec v8s run outstanding with them they’ve been in there for 60,000 miles Also I replaced the wires with msd at the same time and the truck ran all around better then new at 90,000 miles! Then I installed a throttle body spacer airaid mod intake tube and a drop in k&n filter not long after and welded in a performance muffler cause the original rusted completely through and the truck has a lot of power with over 150,000 on it the engine is just broken in!
.040 sounds like a lot and 100,000 is more than 50,000 but if you can't change your spark plugs every 50,000 miles im not sure you should be driving some people have to change out their timing belt by then
.040 is what they gap them at. It used to be .060 for Platinum, but they changed it to .040. I like doing it every 100,000 miles. I mean at this point people probably have over 200,000 miles on these trucks. Might as well just change them and call it good.

Spark plugs at 70k miles. Never go to the limit on such important parts.
I have a 2000 silverado (chev-ro-lett) needs ignition coils bad. What brand do you recommend. Does AC Delco make them?
I just get whatever has the best price/warranty. Obviously the best part are ACDelco/Delphi.
