    As usual top video, thank you Yalcin! Just wanted to mention that Boris said in his latest tech talk, that for his groove he always uses a shuffle by a 64th on hi hi hats or similar elements.

    hI Very cool video , could you please do the indepth video about boris brejcha bass , I know his sounds are very intricate and hard to replicate , its like hes got this weird reese bass going on mixed with evolving bass stabs being automated , I can't really tell how hes doing it but just sounds AWESOMEE .
    Just listen to his intro on the song Puzzle you'll know what I mean .
    Cheers !

    Hi Yalcin, I don't know if you're aware that TH-cam's loudness normalization is only applied when the LUFS are over a certain level and not under. This video for example is almost 8db lower than almost every video on TH-cam. Maybe you do this on purpose but personally I think it doesn't benefit the purpose of your channel (and doesn't do it justice!), being about music production, which constantly revolves around perceived loudness, etc.

      Unfortunately it is not easy as it sounds when you do a music production video. Dynamic range is too broad and I don't want to compress anything as the audio should be untouched so that people can remake the same sounds.
      To make it less dynamic, I need to edit the volumes of each element post production to balance the dynamic range ( for example lufs of a background pad is extremly low compared to when I play whole track, or just play kick and bass in the beginning) and I can't just use limiters to push everything then my full track gets distorted.
      If you scroll to the end of the video and take a look at the LUFS at playback, you will see it is around -16 and if I remember correctly TH-cam likes to have it -14. So I could pushed the gain a bit there for sure but missed it.
      Is it still fixable? Yes! Often times I do it one by one, on post production in Adobe, on each element, on the whole timeline, but sometimes I don't have enough time to do it. Like this video. Unfortunately.

      @@Alice-Efe Hi Yalcin, thanks for replying! Actually if you see the waveform there are only a few short moments where you have sudden high peaks, but almost the entire video is still -8db & lower. So, with a video like this you could raise the gain and have a limiter to catch those few peaks only. This way most of the video will retain its dynamics because you haven't touched 99% of it basically, and you would have it sounding much louder overall. Still, it's a personal opinion of course!

    • @Alice-Efe
      @Alice-Efe  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would unfortunately disagree. The loudest parts are often where the kick and base are played and I really don't want to limit or compress them. It is just on of the most important parts for this type of music and it is my personal preference to keep them clean and as I hear them.
      Again, solution is boosting quite parts in premiere, I do it 95% of the time, but here and there, sometimes it slips through due to time constraints. Unfortunately.

      Sorry bro but i think the sound is perfect. If its not loud enough i use the volume :) Maybe you focus to much on sound because its a hobby or profession of you. I actually liked the sound of the music and thats the most important.

    • @pyanek
      @pyanek 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Alice-Efe I understand what you're saying as a general concept but still in this video the kick & bass parts are not loud at all... Take a look at this part towards the end (around 28 minutes) where the kick, bass, hats and pad are all playing at the same time and you can clearly see they don't even reach -8db ibb.co/vJJ6MpW
      By the way, I'm just trying to help out! one producer to another :)

    Your cutting the high frequencies too much, track sounds like it’s underwater. It’s important to reference to prevent from getting too muddy.
