Fun review of my home town. Next time try the salmon bisque at Novo - it's their best dish. Also try the Khao Soi at Thai Delight - best one I've ever had. Then head over to Efren's for some tongue tacos. If you've got any room left, the lasagna at La Locanda will knock your socks off. I've lived here for 15 years and IMO these are the best bites you can get in SLO.

Mama’s meatballs for the best Italian in town. Really no tri trip, can’t leave SLO without trying Firestones or Old SLO

@@jenniferritchie8177 I personally haven't had great food at any of these places (and really bad food at Firestone), but to each his own.

we been at Madonna Inn but sad to say we don't like the food, but we like the ambient is very nice.

Makes sense, we primarily went for the cake!

I didn’t know Madonna Inn improved their food. My mother and aunts ate there in the 1990s and said they still had their 1970s menu. I guess they had to update sometime.

Video is nice, but provide actual information rather “or something like that.” Like what is that 😅

Its a creek through SLO but our main focus is reviewing the food

Joes has 2 locations in Paso Robles and one in Templeton. We’ve gone to all 3, as we live in Paso Robles. We also love Odyssey World Cafe. One of our fav places to go since moving here 5 years ago. There is also a Taste in our downtown area.

Oh we will have to check out Odyssey World Cafe! Thanks for the recommendation!

We ate lunch at the Madonna and it was awful. Should of complained.

Maybe don’t call SLO “Saint” Luis Obispo, like you did in your intro. It just confirms that you’re from LA or SF

Guilty as charged, we did say it correct two seconds later 🙃

Yeah, but it's a Spanish mission town named after a French Catholic Saint. So, pronunciations can still be subject to a lot of interpretation.

@@kanders7391 Gee really? How could I not have known that after living there for 30 years. This is the equivalent of calling St. Louis Missouri “San Luis”. Do you think any locals might correct you?

I can’t believe you haven’t been to the Apple Farm! We usually go to the Apple Farm Restaurant when we eat in SLO. It has a better, old fashioned, and less racy Inn to stay at than Madonna. Apple Farm’s restaurant menu is really good. They have a little pie & cookie bakery section. They sell a lot of apple related products and wine related products in their adjacent shop. And interesting sundry items.
