Yes Long's Bakery, nothing else compares & next time warm up the sugar cream pie & add ice cream. That's how it's actually eaten.
The sugar cream pie you had is not the best repression of the sugar cream pie. I love the pie but mine looks nothing like yet The one you had
Sugar Cream Pie is best warmed up it becomes less dense and is creamier that way.
Yes there is , French chocolate silk pie. Much better than sugar crème pie period!
Too bad you missed out on Charles Mulligan’s. Best damn steakhouse in the damn state. Unfortunately it closed, but I heard their Turf & Turf was amazing.
Just wondering if you are supposed to declare the high priced items you bought tax free in Japan to your home country’s customs when you arrive back at the airport? I always thought you had to 🤷♀️
Yes you do need to declare items purchased abroad that you bring into the States. There are exemptions if they are personal or gifts so be sure to check your country’s rules
Great video. Ya'll are both young so it will be difficult to answer, we'll be doing Pat's Cliffs walks tour in August 2025. I am 65 in good health but not an everyday hiker or trekker. Is there some way you can quantify the relative difficulty for us old folks.
You should be good! We had a variety of ages on our hike and your leader will ensure your ability and safety ☺️
What about debit cards?
Hi guys, here my opinion as a french : Champs Élysées : 100% Touristy , Not worse spending too much Time there. Louvre: it is one of the leading art collections in the world, not to be missed by art lovers. So it's not Hype but a fact that it is one of the top museums. But since it is SO big, make the visit adapted to you. Focus on certain areas only and do not try to visit all, you need 100 visits! Bouillons: totally agree, it has been spoiled by over tourism. Food very basic anyway. Instead try to find young creative local restaurants, very affordable, that reflects far more the real French food creativity. Best bakery, croissants etc....: totally agree. Stupid social media trend. You will find the "best bakery" everywhere! Keep up the vlog, you're great!😊❤
Thank you for watching and sharing!
This is just like "Les Frenchies" where a couple feature a restaurant, take a photo of their plate (No idea what it is) and then film themselves eating. Like watching someone from a third-world-country trying fast-food and hyperbolizes on how Great it is.
He looks at her 58 times! 😂
💁♀️
Worth mentioning that in the two years since this video was made, it is increasingly the norm in Europe to pay by just tapping your smartphone, i.e. Apple Pay or Google Pay. This works anywhere you can use a physical card. The disadvantage with a physical card is that when the transaction is more than €50 you have to type your PIN. Because smartphone based payment uses a fingerprint sensor or facial recognition, there is no transaction limit. One more tip from a European who travels a lot is that it’s increasingly common now in some European countries for market vendors, taxi drivers, barbers, yoga classes, plumbers, etc. to ask if you’d like to pay using Revolut. The benefit is that this goes instantly to their personal Revolut account. Often they’ll give you their partner’s mobile number so it ends up being invisible to the tax authorities. So if you are asked to pay with Revolut and are happy to do so, you should ask what the Revolut price is. Some will “share” their tax saving with you :)
Thanks for the tips!
The fountain shows are amazing! And in the summer you can walk in the gardens in the evening there is a fireworks to die for. We are gonna go back for the fireworks and the coaches. Versailles is great!
Rob-less dudes come on
🤷
I'm born and raised in central Indiana. Grew up on sugar cream pie. Had no idea until probably 3 years ago thar it was just an Indiana thing.
no Shaprio's ?
Indy food scene is so underrated! You have everything you could ever need, just no crazy over the top stuff, which in my eyes is a good thing
We agree! We love it
Love the vid. Simple and straight to point where to go for first time Paris tourist (which will be us this coming summer). Thank you!!
You’ll love it! Can’t wait to hear what you enjoy and where you stay!
Who goes out to eat pork tenderloin? 😮😂
Everyone in Indiana
Hi! Thanks for your video! We are planning to tour Ireland by guided escort tour because my husband cannot imagine how we could have a relaxing time driving on the other side of the road and all the expenses associated with driving a car (neither of us know how to drive a stick and I understand an automatic comes at a premium there). SOO.. that being said, MOST of our trip will be on a guided motor coach. However, the tour we want doesnt include a castle stay which we really want to experience before we leave. SO I have been looking at taking an intercity bus from our hotel in Ireland to Navan and then to Kingscourt (to get to Cabra Castle). Can you say anything about these express buses that make this route? They seem nice and economical overall and are really the only straight way to get there but Id like to hear your thoughts on what an actual bus experience is like in Ireland (not the guided buses but the other buses). Thank you so much!
You want an actual good sugar cream pie, Zionsville has it. The business is called My Sugar Pie. It is so popular that for Thanksgiving, you have to order months in advance to get it for Thanksgiving. I don't know what that abomination you ate was, but it wasn't Hoosier Cream Pie (Sugar Cream Pie) Also, try the Garage Hall off of 10th street. It's just a higher class food court, where you can get some exotic foods like Maine lobster rolls, Venezuelan arepas, or Peruvian pizza.
in wigwam the bloke basically sniffed the irish coffee ffs
I got eiffel tower souvenir its sooo cool
For sure its the best souvenir
Did you go to Morgan’s of the weir in Co Claire ? If not you missed out on a seafood extravaganza.
We didn’t but we will add to the list! Thank you for the recommendation
I disagree with what you say: there are patisseries and bakeries, but in small towns or villages, the shops do both. In big cities, especially if the pastry chef has won competitions and has a reputation, it is possible to do one or the other, but in small towns, they are forced to do both.
That is a good looking tenderloin!
Kouign-amann is dangerously delicious and it could be addictive. Soo scrumptious...I heard the crunch of the Crème brûlée...Lord looks soo Good. I need a trip to the City to try it
Yes!! You must go try it!
My favorite is Castelli’s and Las Spiga! So good!
The Latin qtr over Montmartre I think for first timers
We agree!
Indy is such a good food city! Wrote about several of these great Indianapolis spots in my new book, Unique Eats and Eateries of Indiana. :)
Indy is a special place! We love the food revolution going on!
Oh man me and jimmy have same taste 😂
I got a perfume from the gift shop up at the top of the Arc d'Triomphe and it's my absolute favorite! I even had my mom buy me another bottle when she went to Paris a couple years later!
You got a bad sugar cream pie. Try Wicks or anywhere else, a good sugar cream pie is a religious experience. What you had looked way to thick, had to much 'stuff' in top, not a true example of a sugar cream pie. Also, compairing Longs to Kirspie Kream could get you shot.
Just a comparison as they are the same type of donut, obviously we like Longs better ☺️
“Here in the States we have Portland, Seattle….VANCOUVER…” ??? 😮😂 Okay, this Canadian says you’re forgiven. 😅
Hehe whoops North America, but Vancouver is so close 🤣
You shouldn't correct yourself... there are two Vancouvers... one is British Columbia and one in Washington.
Just remember to order a Murphy’s Stout (not a Guinness) in Cork! 😊
Murphy’s is very tasty!
For the not-first-timers: take a relaxing stroll down Rue Moufftard, explore Parcs Monceau or Buttes Chaumont, walk the Coulée Verte and along the Canal St Martin. Experience Paris more like the Parisians do!
Thank you for sharing this!
Forget the naysayers. Montmartre is perfect for strolling around and enjoying the atmosphere. Just get there earlier in the morning (not on the weekend) and move away from the crowded hotspots, then explore a bit.
We loved it!!
How is 16th arrondissement?
We haven’t stayed in that area yet so unfortunately can’t comment
@jimmyandbabstravels okay thank you 😊
the gardens were 10 euros and not free
The gardens at Versailles are free except for days they have musical shows. The park is also open every day and free
It's a good thing you can walk it cause ya can't drive it
tip is stupid to exist. Japan done it right, its diesgrace to tip. ALSO tips are tax free.
To each their own 🤷♀️
I've worked for a large U.S. employer in both France and Belgium for many years, and as such I have seen a few American visitors having problems using their cards on our side of the ocean. Because their cards either did not have a chip (which was not so rare on U.S. cards not that long ago) or they did not have a PIN; unless you use contactless payments for purchases under 50 euros, you do need to know your PIN almost everywhere. If you don't even have a chip (does that still exist?), forget about using your card anywhere. And yes, Amex/American Express is not accepted everywhere; the best cards to have are Visa and Mastercard.
Yes, Amex is poorly accepted in Europe outside of hotels and premium restaurants (i.e. places that corporate travellers are likely to frequent). My local airport doesn’t even accept Amex to pay for parking. Visa or Mastercard for the win.
What if someone is claustrophobic? As I am visiting on this sat n sunday but I am claustrophobic 😢
Would be up to you, there are some tight spots but the view is worth it!
Robles not robeulz
We try 🤷♀️
Cliffs of Moher. Moher is a two syllable not a one syllable word. Pronounced like mo-her
Yup it’s hard to pronounce, we do our best 🤷♀️
It's a "Porchetta" sandwich not a "Porshetta" sandwich!
tomayto - tomahto 🤷
I have asked stores for their window posters and then frame them…lots of event posters everywhere …
Great idea!
Good video but this is a little confusing because the ground floor in Italy is called the first floor in the US. And the first floor in Italy is called the second floor in the US
ALL Tourists, do not go anyway near Temple Bar unless you're just walking through and want to see it. Its the most expensive fraud in Dublin... Its the worst Irish experience and you would be better off taking your photo and go somewhere else, even a street over. I'm from and live in Dublin. Go anywhere else within 5 minutes and you'll thank me later
You need to eat the Sugar Cream Pie hot, or at least warm. It is definitely not dense at that point.
