Just found the last pair at a LHS! Just walked in and there they were front and rear! I got them before someone noticed give them to cashier and continue shopping! Lol! The video was great! Hope to see more!
@@FullOnRC nope - first ones for Granite cost £15.15 get stung £11.36 post office then Outcast were £18 get stung £14.28 by Post Office. Bought them separately as and when they were available. Due to the £8 handling fee the Post Office changes will have cost me £24 more than if i bought all in one go. Sucks being in UK sometimes
its a good and affordable upgrade. Just have to find when in stock, i only managed to get the fronts for the outcast so far, have the rears on the Granite and the fronts on route
At 8:49 when you threaded the shocks on mine are not threading on. I don’t know why. The threads don’t seem to be reaching the threads inside the shock. Help!
You may be having the same issue i had on my 3s shocks - you need to push the little washer in so that the thread can engage - see this video i did that may help: th-cam.com/video/eZUaOHAT-Mo/w-d-xo.html
About to do the same to my Senton after I get some oil tomorrow . Glad I found this vid! Any problems with leaks? I've heard mixed reviews on the HR shock bodies
You're supposed to use the plastic spacer that goes between the top of the spring and the adjustment collar then you wouldn't have had to tighten the ring down so far
@@HardcoreRC You have to use the collar from the stock ones. There's a thick one on the rear and a thin one on front. Then you won't have to screw the nut so far down the shock tube

Nice - glad the video helped 👍👍
Oh wow!
Thanks a million for that. It's great somebody did a proper video on the Hot Racing aluminum shock bodies assembly. 👍👍👍👍😊
Your welcome - will be putting a new one up this week of fitting to the Granite as well, as slightly different
@@HardcoreRC Brilliant, really looking forward to that. I did notice a couple of little differences between that and the Granite alright.
Thanks for the great tutorial! Now I know how to assemble the HR shocks.
Thanks - glad it was helpful 👍👍
👍Great upgrade. Done it on all three of my 4S👍
agreed - done it to Granite as well and waiting for the rest to come in from USA, then get stung by Post Office handling fee and duty 😢
@@HardcoreRC Not just me then.....

I still don’t really get how you did it. This has took all day and still can’t get it in
@@emeryhall8218 Can you screw the end on without any of the shock shaft and piston rings in place ?
I got it man! Thanks a million!
@@emeryhall8218 Glad you got there in the end - can be a real pain to get in that's for sure 👍👍
THANK YOU! Just did mine
Your welcome - thank you for watching

We havent had any issues with leaks, this is the fir V1 Outcast though

Does it fit there ? the stock one as the HR didn't come with a collar ?

Is there much of a improvement in handling and performance or is it mostly cosmetic?
Helps stop the leaking that is a known issue with the stock arrma shocks
Great tutorial 👍🏾
Thank you, glad it helped and thank you for watching
may the force be with you mate ! cool vid :D !
And the force be with you - thanks for the visit 👍
Good info thanks! Subbed
Thanks for the Sub 👍👍
Will those fit the kraton 4s v2?
Should do, although little point as the K4 v2 already has ali shock bodies
I tried to install mine. The shock shaft is too long. It hits the top on the shock body. I’m assuming it’s just for the first gen kraton.
@@shred2death835 Might be too long, unfortunately Arrma dont give out the specs of the shafts or the bodies, so its all a guessing game
Yeah it definitely was. Yeah I couldn’t find anything on specs. Thanks for the reply.
