I greatly enjoy your videos. They help me relax and contribute to a good night's sleep. Watching them before bed has become a routine, and they possess a peculiar charm that helps me fall asleep swiftly.
I think it's a Family Computer from around 1989. The early Family Computers didn't have the FF logo, and the 1983 Family Computer controller's A and B buttons were square rubber buttons. Around the winter of 1984, they were changed to round plastic buttons.
Indeed, You are right, 8:45 I just noticed that the motherboard is marked with the production year 1989, contrasting with the console's bottom label indicating 1983. 15:30
Launching on July 15, 1983, the Family Computer (commonly known by the Japanese-English term Famicom) is an 8-bit console using interchangeable cartridges. The Famicom was released in Japan for ¥14,800 (about $150 at the time, or equivalent to $460.00 in 2023).
This is the only Nintendo I knew for a couple of years back in the early 90s, I used to invite my neighbor to play along of course it wasn't easy to play some games as they were in Japanese, later he received a square box Nintendo and he didn't want to play again because my Nintendo was a "Chinese knockoff", I replied to him it wasn't chinese but Japanese, moreover he couldn't understand English, I learned both Japanese and English and now he drives a chinese car 😆
Looks like you break the clamp when removing the cartridge ejector... Yup, mine is broken like yours. these old plastic is pretty fragile. Broken clamp can be repaired with Tamiya's extra thin cement, and it works pretty well.
I would love to own this original one . I own a aftermarket one that doesn't have the cartridge release lever . Looks similar but just doesn't have the vintage feel . Damit !! I should have kept my one that was from 1990s . It had the cartridge lever .
Two criticisms. Number 1, you really shouldn’t be using an electric screwdriver when screwing self tapping screws into plastic. The factory made the threads. You should be using those instead of making new ones. That’s how holes get stripped. And number 2, you messed up the controller cords. You didn’t wrap them right. You basically eliminated the stress reliefs. Now someone could pull on it and damage the plugs to the main board. Otherwise, nice job. 👍
At least he know how to repair this piece. I've seen people try to ~wash~ the entire piece . I mean plastic case, screws, electronics , everything just dunked the whole piece in a bucket of soapy water and washed it like a puppy.
Thank you very much for the advice, and I think you are right about the screwdriver. Also, I will disassemble the console to correct the controller cords' position again. Thank you again.
I was expecting you to have gaming skills as good as your restoration skill. But damn! I was so wrong That tennis serve and mistimed jump in Mario 😂😂😂😂😂
A TV's RF input, or antenna input, is commonly available on most television sets. Additionally, an RF to composite adapter can be obtained, although they are not widely common and tend to be costly.
Interesting fact - 'Popeye' was supposed to be released as an arcade game by Nintendo of America in 1980, but licensing issues put an end to that. Needing to find a use for their surplus 'Radar Scope' cabinets gathering dust in their warehouse in Redmond, Washington, NoA came up with 'Donkey Kong' in 1981... and the rest is history.
The first Nintendo FamiComs of 1983 had SQUARE buttons that had problems sinking into the pad according to old reports from Japan and translated articles so Nintendo had to either recall or replace the game pads with the ROUND buttons therefore this is highly doubtful to be a launch 1983 FamiCom... the bottom should say some information or the PCB should so most likely this is a 1984 FamiCom model. Ahhh The PCB revealed this is in fact a 1989 Nintendo FamiCom and the LCD shows some input lag... better to use a CRT next time.
YO tenia la que era la MAXPLAY Gris con Rosadito, era magnifica por que funcionana con una antena inalambrica y en la tv lo tenias que poner en el canal 12 y se veia el juego , y los que veian el canal 12 cerca a mi casa me veian jugar

I'm still playing this. Nintendo - NES is my childhood in middle school, from 1992 - 1996. I will remember forever.

懐かしい昭和のカセット式テレビゲーム、ファミリーコンピューター。任天堂が、41年前に製造•販売をしていた商品。昭和•平成•令和へと息を吹き返して見事に復元しました。
That's awesome! It's always exciting to finally get something you've been dreaming about. 😊
I love it!

Congratulations on your sharp observational skills; you are correct. I broke the clamp while attempting to remove the cartridge ejector.

What solution do you use when spraying before using sandpaper?
water + dish soap
@@resEGyou should’ve shown Mario jumping on the flag pole 😂 cmon man!
Dude, why did they remove the controller mounts for the American market?? The Famicom was way cooler looking than the NES
I agree with you, the Famicom! 🎮 It certainly had a unique design that stood out.
How u have connect the famicon to a modern lcd? What tool have u use? Thanks

こういう動画めっちゃ好きだけど、背景白に白文字は全然見えない
I believe it's a release from 1989, not 1983. You may find that information written on the motherboard if you inspect it.
