    Wow! I just found your Channel. Why dont you have a Million subs.
    i already learned from you. Loved your description about growth habits in the wild...
    i Never liked hoyas but finally i saw beautiful hoyas. I am very impressed. All your plants look happy. And finally someone Testing self watering poles! ...i was Thinking about that...i thought the moss could work as a rope if you put it deep in the medium...keep up the good work bro!

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow thanks! I seriously appreciate that. Yeah you're right, Moss could work as a wick. I have a pole where moss alone is the wick, moisture doesn't wick all the way up the pole but its manageable. Thanks for tuning in.

    Hey Dave! Everything is looking so good! I love your baby doc block; it’s so dope! I can’t wait to see it when it’s a big beautiful beast! I have really become interested in anthurium lately, and my pallidiflorum just put out it’s first new leaf since I imported it. Anthurium are so cool to watch grow because of the way the new leaves come in so tiny and blow tf up almost right in front of your eyes! You cracked me up with your “you-pee- aye- yaying” 😂
    Your ring light is definitely helping with your video quality, and your plant selection is off the chain. Thanks so much for sharing. I can’t wait to continue to see all of your plants taking OFF! -Nora

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nora! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you made it through that acclimation with the Pallidiflorum. I also like how Anthuriums don't need a pole... unlike the Philos lol. Let me know if you come up on any more cool Anthurium!

    H. crassi just has that kind of growth pattern. Long internodes and clusters. Have both regular and splash.

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! Yeah I'm noticing most of them do that. I like both the regular and splash.

    your videos are so entertaining to watch..thank you for another good one. is showering why your leaves look so clean and shiny or do you have another secret? especially enjoyed the anthurium hybrids and those splashy hoyas..wow!

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! well showering can leave water spots so neem oil solution is what makes some of the plants look shiny...if the plant isn't already naturally. Appreciate you tuning in.

    I love the pattern on the hoya caudata. My favorite is hoya Lori Lyn because the internodes are close together and it sunstresses red and pink and doesn't get alot of runners. The hoya clemensorium is definitely on my wishlist. All your philodendrons are joepiiyaying! When are we going to see Aroid District hybrids?

    • @AroidDistrict

    Hi. I'm a recent subscriber. I'm at the same stage with my Philodendron melanochrysum and Philodendron splendid as you are.
    I need my philodendrons to flower for my breeding experiments; so I'm gonna grow them in cages. Do you have any experience or advice for me in this direction?
    Lastly, I seem to sense a sadness in this recent presentation. I hope all's well. Do take care.

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! That’s cool we are at the same stages with those velvet leaf Philos. I haven’t had Philos flower indoors yet, but they do flower outdoors if your able to do that. Difficult part is catching it overnight when it opens and having pollen ready from previous flowers.
      Definitely not sad, probably just tired lol. I appreciate you checking.
