@@martaswatek4157 Assuming you follow the belief that Galvatron is basically just Megatron with the same memories and personality as he always did (minus the brain gitches) he's been working with Blitzwing for at least 20 years at this point. Cyclonus meanwhile was a recent convert and he was made from Bombshell, one of the guys Megatron rarely liked much.
Always liked this episode because it showed the Decepticons *can* function without a strong figurehead or definitive Leader. They turn to Swindle for negotiations, Motormaster is able to rally them, Onslaught fittingly questions if the Quintessons have a strategy - even a rank and file 'Con like Dead End has his voice heard. Aside from the glaring animation errors, moments like this, the scale and stakes, & that it set the stage for Season 3 as a whole is why the Five Faces of Darkness storyline is not just a standout of Season 3, but of the whole G1 series.
Galvatron called blitzwing comrade soon as he met him he didn't even greet cyclonus and the sweeps like that when they saved him Megatron and blitzwing fought together in the war which was why galvs greeted him as comrade when he seen him Galvs might have been crazy but he still had his memories
That said, originally Blitzwings part was going to be Shockwave which would make even more sense to why Galvatron greeted him so warmly. The writers often were forced to swap characters around depending on what toy was being sold, and usually didn't bother to alter things much.

Blitzwing knew something wasn't right. He even seemed favored by Galvatron. I always felt that the writers had a fondness for Blitzwing. In the movie he was the only Decepticon to avoid Optimus' barrage at Autobot city. Unfortunate that Octane(whom i actually like) took his place in the following season.
The reason why they did that because the plan was for him to be exiled from the Decepticons. And then after that it was meant for him to be hunted down. But they decided to go with octane the other triple changer instead to push his toy. So this was a way to put him in the Forefront

Hey, Blurr is cool but putting him with Wheelie is like putting Ice Cream on vomit - it's nice alone but mix it in with crap and you get Vomit Cream, and nobody wants Vomit Cream. Blurr is cool but he becomes SUPER annoying when put with any other character with a verbal tic, and Wheelie is the worst verbal tic of them all.
You would want them in animation as bad as AKOMs offerings? To quote Morgan Freeman... "Good luck." (And to be fair because it's AKOM, Brawn did get to show up in an episode. Ironhide sort of did in Headmasters as well but let's not mention that. In fact the only two Transformers who died on Autobot side in the movie who never show up in Japanese or Season 3 again are basically Huffer and Ratchet, so 🤷♂️ )

Rodimus is generally the universe's largest a55hole. He's constantly naval gazing ("Oh I'M not as great as Optimus! Woe is ME!") therefore managing to somehow make everything about him. His attitude here to Springer is a bit all over the place. In Fight or Flee an entire planet is blown up, their culture and history lost, and the survivors have just sacrificed their principles to defend themselves. There has just been planet wide death... and Rodimus' response to all of this is *insult* the Paradronians! Finally in the Japanese continuity, Cybertron blows up on his watch. Alongside the Autobot survivors who could use support of the Matrix Bearer... Rodimus decides to run off with Kup and Blurr on a boy's road trip (he also tells Arcee, who asks to come along to get lost). I know Rodimus said he's going to find a new planet but why does it have to be him who goes and not maybe one of the the space faring Autobots? Seriously. He's one of the worst Autobots ever. (I think he's great actually but when he's written like this, he does have to be contender for worst Autobot leader ever, including Marvel US Grimlock) There should be a page or thread listing all the times he's an a55hole. (Just want to point out that whilst he is a bit of a git... he's pound for pound one of the most successful leaders. Under his watch the Autobots retake Cybertron and in the main manage to keep Galvatron, the most powerful Decepticon, at bay. Even when Cybertron is eventually blown up in Japanese continuity it's hard to see how he could have stopped that. And in US continuity his good leadership allows Optimus to come back, to hold the ship steady to revitalise Cybertron. Frankly Rodimus is underrated)
Hasbro doesn't own the molds to produce Shockwave. It's a different company. But before G1 Shockwave. The company that does own him. Did produce a green and purple Shockwave in the late 1970s and early 80s.

That depends on whether or not you count generics. Slag melted a few of Shockwave's minions in "Desertion of the Dinobots," and Optimus gunned down a lot of Megatron's troops in "War Dawn."
How? They stopped being slaves millions of years ago, before Optimus was even created. Only Alpha Trion was old enough to remember. I am sure the older generations didn't want the younger gens to know that they were slaves.
In the original script, Blitzwing is replaced by Shockwave, which makes a lot more sense. Blitzwing is oddly soft-spoken and intelligent, plus he and Galvatron have a kinship that they never had before. According to the script, Shockwave remembered the Quintesson due to being the oldest member of the group. Since Blitzwing replaced Shockwave in this storyline, Shockwave is missing from the entire third season and Blitzwing appears after his "banishment". Blitzwing himself would later be replaced by Octane in "Starscream's Ghost". Funnily enough, Takara would come up with a reason for Blitzwing to remember the Quintessons. Since he was too young for Shockwave's explanation, toy lore implied that he began life as a Quintesson drone before somehow gaining sentence and becoming Blitzwing.

this opening was the opening for the entire Five Faces of Darkness when it first premiered on television back in 86. when this went to DVD, they screwed up, and only put this opening for this episode for some odd reason.

Yeah season 3 is where the errors really start to ramp up unfortunately.
His gun mode is a lot more stronger the the regular robot mode gun

14:02 Hot Rod from the movie would never say that about a fallen comrade let alone a friend. The difference in characterization and writing is so jarring.
Rodimus is generally the universe's largest a55hole. He's constantly naval gazing ("Oh I'M not as great as Optimus! Woe is ME!") therefore managing to somehow make everything about him. His attitude here to Springer is a bit all over the place. In Fight or Flee an entire planet is blown up, their culture and history lost, and the survivors have just sacrificed their principles to defend themselves. There has just been planet wide death... and Rodimus' response to all of this is *insult* the Paradronians!
Finally in the Japanese continuity, Cybertron blows up on his watch. Alongside the Autobot survivors who could use support of the Matrix Bearer... Rodimus decides to run off with Kup and Blurr on a boy's road trip (he also tells Arcee, who asks to come along to get lost). I know Rodimus said he's going to find a new planet but why does it have to be him who goes and not maybe one of the the space faring Autobots?
Seriously. He's one of the worst Autobots ever.
(I think he's great actually but when he's written like this, he does have to be contender for worst Autobot leader ever, including Marvel US Grimlock)

(Just want to point out that whilst he is a bit of a git... he's pound for pound one of the most successful leaders. Under his watch the Autobots retake Cybertron and in the main manage to keep Galvatron, the most powerful Decepticon, at bay. Even when Cybertron is eventually blown up in Japanese continuity it's hard to see how he could have stopped that. And in US continuity his good leadership allows Optimus to come back, to hold the ship steady to revitalise Cybertron. Frankly Rodimus is underrated)

That depends on whether or not you count generics. Slag melted a few of Shockwave's minions in "Desertion of the Dinobots," and Optimus gunned down a lot of Megatron's troops in "War Dawn."

How? They stopped being slaves millions of years ago, before Optimus was even created. Only Alpha Trion was old enough to remember. I am sure the older generations didn't want the younger gens to know that they were slaves.
In the original script, Blitzwing is replaced by Shockwave, which makes a lot more sense. Blitzwing is oddly soft-spoken and intelligent, plus he and Galvatron have a kinship that they never had before. According to the script, Shockwave remembered the Quintesson due to being the oldest member of the group.
Since Blitzwing replaced Shockwave in this storyline, Shockwave is missing from the entire third season and Blitzwing appears after his "banishment". Blitzwing himself would later be replaced by Octane in "Starscream's Ghost".
Funnily enough, Takara would come up with a reason for Blitzwing to remember the Quintessons. Since he was too young for Shockwave's explanation, toy lore implied that he began life as a Quintesson drone before somehow gaining sentence and becoming Blitzwing.

In the aligned continuity Quintus Prime (one of the 13 Original Primes) is said to be the one to be able to create all forms of life, even the Quintessons. And Quintus Prime was created by Primus himself.

this opening was the opening for the entire Five Faces of Darkness when it first premiered on television back in 86. when this went to DVD, they screwed up, and only put this opening for this episode for some odd reason.
