As snug as they are together I'm not sure there would be enough room for epoxy or just my luck I'd get it halfway and not be able to move it anymore.

I am in the process of fitting a barrel liner to my wildcat and am replacing the transfer port with the new longer brass version which replaces the brass & steel with just one component however I can't see a recess for an O ring internally as was in the steel joiner, my question is if there is a recess for one deep inside the port how do you get it in there .
Good morning Ernest. I bought an FX liner from Huma Air. When it got here, it will not fit all the way into my barrel. I measured it with calipers and it is 11.75mm on one end and 11.94mm on the other. It is tapered from one end to the other. I guess I will have to sand it to make it fit. Do you have any other suggestions.

Yeah, that's the magic question, Isn't it? What difference, in the real world, does this make? If it's that big of an improvement, why not offer a completely glued in barrel as a factory option? These rifles shoot so well as they come from the factory with their O ring supported floating liners, you gotta wonder if this is even beneficial at all. lol
I’m asking the same question and here is why. It’s called the coefficient of linear expansion. You have a steel / carbon reinforced plastic bond. 2 different materials. If you glue this together say, in winter, come summer time the carbon and steel will naturally lengthen at different rates. This will impose various stresses depending on temperature that could give you all sorts of grief with point of impact shift. Forget the seasons. Cold morning sight in / hot sunny day hot black barrel. One thousandth of temperature induced bowing will do what at long range poi shift. You could however bond it a one end ( or say over 2 inches) only to avoid this.

The reason I say this is i use to work for a company that made large Carbon Fiber centrifuge buckets, they didn't go anywhere at hundreds of G force. Now the steel....a slightly different matter, according to the math, it MAY move as much as .0015" linear movement, if you go from the Arctic to Death Valley in July. Now what it does off of a horizontal plane is a different matter as the barrel warps, that will affect your POA.

Carbon fiber sleeves don't even fit inside the barrel housings. Don't waste your money unless you enjoy hours of sanding or have a laithe to turn the carbon fiber sleeves down. Sent mine back twice. Same issue on all 3. Looks like Ernest gave up answering questions on this thread a year ago. Have not bought a supposably drop in part for my Maverick yet that didn't need to be modified to work.

I have just acquired the new dreamline in 25 cal..can I install liner sleeve on it?..would it be ok with the stock aluminum shroud?

Locktite high strength used to reline .22 Rimfire barrels would work better, JB Weld a bit too thick
