These power pole mounted public EV chargers from EVX are a great option for EV owners who don't have off street parking to charge. Also ideal for EV drivers parking on the street for a few hours and wanting a top up charge while doing other things. Want to see more Independent & Practical educational EV Videos? Great video. Some fairly ambitious pricing though similar to Tesla Supercharger or not far off EVie 350kw VFasf chargers. These Level 2 chargers are a great asset but pricing them at Level 3 pricing is a little cheeky

Agree, but the usage might be lower so likely need that sort of price to make a return. I'm hoping to do an interview with one of the DC charge companies in the future and get an idea of the energy/infrastructure costs they have to pay which will give us a better idea.
Thanks for watching and the comment.

That's great. I wonder if Qld is also going to do the same.

Thanks for the information about on-pole chargers.
Please be careful with kWh Vs kW. e.g. near the end of charging you said kW for both the rate of charging and the energy added (which should be kWh, and was shown on your screen).

As you mention the pricing on these is a challenge whilst there are so many free AC (and even DC) chargers around, often supported by the same council.
And there is real cost in eatablishing a billing platform and the extra connection, only for it not to be used.

Thanks for the comment Mark. Any new chargers are good ones and I suspect we will see less and less free ones over time so these should start earning their keep. Cheers

Thanks for watching and the comment. No, don't think this one had one at the time. Unsure if they have now.
