    Thanks for your videos, but you didn’t go through the process of using the NMRA charger.

      Hi Thanks for the comment. Not much to say, it's literally "plug-n-play". You plug it in, it takes 30 seconds to communicate with the car then starts charging. Free to use courtesy of NRMA and usually the local council where it's located.

    Appreciate the clear, well-paced and logically organised explanations. Also appreciate your plans NOT to focus on the expensive and flashy EVs that will soon be coming to the market, but rather on the more affordable. As a pensioner, knowing that I will need to move to electric powered transport in a couple of years, I need to know about the range of reliable and lower cost options seemingly coming to us mainly from China, so it is heartening to hear of your future plans to cover this segment of the market

      I couldn't agree more Kiwi Mike as my situation is the same as yours.
      Greg you have such a great way of getting your extensive knowledge across, thanks so much for producing these videos.

      Thanks Kiwi Mike, I appreciate the supportive comment. Personally I've never been a flashy type person, in fact our EV is the first new car I have ever owned. Plus there are heaps of other EV TH-cam channels much slicker than mine covering the big end of town so I will leave that to them :)
      Thanks again and stay safe.
      Cheers

    Does the ccs fit Tesla model 3?

    • @ElectricCarAustralia
      @ElectricCarAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul, yes at least here with the Australian models although I think most models/countries now use CCS for fast DC charging.

    Thanks for the video. Very informative for newbies like me. Have placed a deposit on both the refreshed MG and new BYD Atto 3. Still undecided. Liked the new MG but not the standard 320km range. 1 question on the fast chargers. As there are 2 plugs on the rapid chargers, can both be used at the same time? ie. charging 2 cars via CHAdeMO and CCS at the same time.

    • @ElectricCarAustralia
      @ElectricCarAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chin, congrats on moving over to an EV. No, 99% of fast chargers can only charge 1 EV at a time. Cheers Greg.

    How do I map out for free chargers? 🤔

    • @ElectricCarAustralia

      Howdy and thanks for the question & please Subscribe to the channel to help me spread the word if you haven't. Use Plugshare and "untick" the requires a fee button. Not always super accurate but close. Cheers Greg

      @@ElectricCarAustralia Thanks so much, I stumbled on your videos looking at the full electric MG for sale.
      Your videos are great as I was unsure if it would be feasible.
      My only last question is how long do the batteries last? And if needed down the line how much would a battery replacement cost?? Sorry I'm asking too much

    Thanks for covering usage of Tritium's DC fast charger. I recently purchased share of Tritium - so it's nice to see what my money is backing. As a long term investor, I'm expecting to do well with this stock purchase!

      Hi Denise, thanks for watching and the comment. We have a video in the pipeline on rapid charger reliability from an EV users perspective. It will be worth a watch as an investor in Tritium. Cheers.

    You might want to say the Tesla Model 3 2021 SR+ & SR both have LFP batteries, that are designed to be charged to 100% daily.
    Otherwise great video.

    Great looking forward to the app video, do you have suggestions or link to your obd2 tool? I have concerns of using one that may affect the vehicle in a bad way. Hoping to use with ABRP.

    • @ElectricCarAustralia
      @ElectricCarAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Adam, thanks for the comment. We've been using the OBDLink LX Bluetooth and found it very reliable. Will have more info in upcoming video but these are rated as one of the better/best practice ones on the market.
      Shouldn't have any problems with car if you are only reading data but be aware some don't use secure protocols for communications so someone else can link to your car if not careful.
      Cant comment on connecting to ABRP, sorry unsure how that would work. Cheers

    Great videos we hope to be getting our mg zs ev next week ordered early October New Zealand was told by the dealer that we won't see the face-lift model here due to Australia not wanting them are you able to confirm this? I see on the NZ MG site they aren't advertising the EV anymore

    • @ElectricCarAustralia
      @ElectricCarAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Terry, great to hear yours is finally arriving, enjoy! Haven't heard anything over hear about not wanting new model, but will keep an ear out. Dealers will want to sell through all the current stock onshore and they are still selling over here so fingers crossed new model will follow.

    • @ElectricCarAustralia
      @ElectricCarAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Terry, following up, MG Dealers in Australia are now taking orders for the refreshed model. Only standard battery size is available at this point. Assuming NZ will follow soon. Cheers

    All EV car manufacturers should place the charging port on the front of their vehicles. It would make sense to have a standard location on passenger vehicles.
    Nice to see solar power being used to charge. It is such a clean form of energy.
    Who would use dirty dino-juice?

    • @ElectricCarAustralia
      @ElectricCarAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment. Yes a consistent location for charge port would be helpful for drivers and charger manufacturers and infrastructure developers. Let's hope the industry can come together. 👍🌞🔋
