It's the little things that you take time to say that make the difference between learning/remembering and not understanding. I have not seen anyone that I've watched show how to hold shift or shift and ctrl to manipulate the handles. Nor has anyone used the word "magnets" to explain. Thanks!
Hello! I've been watching your videos, really enjoy them, really helpful in my attempt to transition haha. BTW Is there some sort of live update of PSD files inside affinity designer like illustrator and photshop? For example: I'm making a social media post on Illustrator, i import a PSD onto the artboard, notice there is bad lightning on the image so I open it with photshop and adjust the lighting and also remove some issues then hit save, when I got back to illustrator I will be greeted with a popup saying the file has been modified and if I wish to update it inside the app, I hit yes and voila, the file updated almost real time into my artboard.
Yes there is. You can use something called "embedded document" where you can open up the document make your changes and go back to the original to see the changes. What's even better is that you can keep both files open and change from one window to the other without having to close any documents
@@BrownBearProductions Small correction - embedded documents are not updated when the original (placed) document changes; the placed document is stored (embedded) within the your document and thus does not change if the original is modified. If you want your document to update when the placed documents change, you want to link (rather than embed) them. To do this, you must make sure that "Image Placement Policy" is set to "Prefer Linked" in the "Document Setup" dialog box.
Hope this makes using the pen tool make more sense - once you get the hang of it, it's so much easier to use
You are too great at breaking down complex concepts.
Thinking of the "handles" as magnets really helps. All your tutorials are very concise and clear
Glad you’re finding them helpful. Most coming soon 👍🏽
Thanks for such explanation of , enjoying of these small details that I never knew
