God bless u sis, I have had dis foot for a long time. The first time I used it I didn’t get anything good so I haven’t used it again until today. Ur video has been very useful Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you so much. I tried my newly purchased gathering foot yesterday and wondered what I was doing wrong. I did not know that I had to change the stitch length.
Still loving mine o... o wonder how I’ve been suffering before I bought it😂. Thanks for opening my eye and taking me away from suffer head lifestyle. Lmao
Yes. I've noticed that when I do my gathers using waist measurement multiplied by 3, and I gather it with stitch length 5 plus tight tension, it gives me the exact waist again. When I do at stitch length 4, I get some extra on the waist.
Hi Chioma! I am wondering where you buy this foot? I am in Canada and starting the hunt to find an industrial ruffle foot! Any help would be amazing. Have an amazing day!
I think it's available on Amazon. Try this link and let me know. Have a great day ☺️ www.amazon.com/Blooy-Gathering-Industrial-Lockstitch-Adjustable/dp/B0C57X4F9Z/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=36L08NBG0O2OR&keywords=p950+sewing+foot&qid=1705481259&sprefix=p950+sewi%2Caps%2C982&sr=8-3
Number 5 is very loose when sewing normally but for gathers, It'll help you gather more. Number 3 if for normal sewing but for gathers, it won't gather nicely.
@@Theonlychioma My darling my sewing machine has 0-4 thread tension numbers and 0-8 stitch length numbers. Please which ones do you suggest for normal sewing and gatheting. Already frustrated here. Also, I would love your help with the right industrial needle sizes for light, medium and heavy weight fabrics. I am only familiar with the domestic sewing machine needle types and uses. If I can contact you any other way, I will really be grateful because I would love to show you a picture of the machine, knobs and needles I have here etc. If there is no other way, do get back to me here anyhow.
Wow...thanks alot for this video. I was really helpful. For me, The one for the lighter fabric seems it can't be removed to put the one one for the heavier fabric. I have tried everything and it doesn't seem to be coming out. 😕 Do you know how else I can go about it?
@@Theonlychioma I have virtually all the presser foots for my domestic sewing machine and none for my industrial sewing machine. Do you advise I get presser foots for it or just manage the one it came with? Do you think I would be under utilizing it and overworking my domestic sewing machine? Really condused as I am honestly considering investing in industrial sewing machine presser foots.
@@EverythingCustomMade I can tell you for a fact that investing in industrial machine foot has changed my sewing experience for the better. Waoh! Thank you soooo much, I was wondering what is the purpose of the 2 holes. Thank God I didn't end up breaking the needle and getting frustrated. 💋

Thank you. Can one control the length of the gathers? You know like we do for the waist of a gathers skirt.
Yes. I've noticed that when I do my gathers using waist measurement multiplied by 3, and I gather it with stitch length 5 plus tight tension, it gives me the exact waist again. When I do at stitch length 4, I get some extra on the waist.

My machine is not making gathers. What may be the problem
Tighten your tension. Put stitch length at 5.

Thank you for your help for a long time I have this foot but I didn't know how to use it🤩😄
Oh you're most welcome ❤️
Can you please teach me how to cut princess seam dress
Can you attach the other straight fabric while the other one gathers at the top with this 2 in 1 gathering foot?
No this foot can't do that. It's the foot for the electric table top that does that but the gathers sef is not very full.

I don't understand why mine keeps cutting it thread, like it's frustrating I haven't been able to enjoy the usage at all
Can you use it on ankara fabric?
Yes sure
Please what's the name of the foot. I can not find it on Amazon
The name is Susei P950 gathering or shirring foot. If you don't find this, get the P952. They're the same.
