I've seen them on their website before but the additional cost of postage and VAT etc meant they were never worth it for me. But buying them in person...that's another matter :) The only downside is they may be limited to what they have.
@@ModelNerd that's interesting to know, here in Australia we are quite limited with what we can buy from retailers so good to see it's better in the UK!
@@leeroyjenkins7141 I looked at ordering some here (NZ).......they turn out as expnsive as a profi-pack bought locally! Eduard's shipping is horrendous.
Hello Stu, thanks for sharing some really great buys . Those sprue kits are AWESOME I have never seen those. Gives you unlimited possibilities Telford must be like a modelers heaven. Model on and Cheers Bob.
Two really interesting and great looking kits. The CSM kit looks excellent with so many choice of schemes. I built their Lanchester this year and it was such a pleasure as it fitted together without any hassles at all. I've never heard of overtrees before but the price certainly makes them a bargain.
I'm sure I read/heard somewhere that another company is going to start producing overtrees too - I just can't remember where/who/when (old age!). Glad to hear positive things about the CSM kits.
A fantastic selections of kits Stu,I did not think of getting the Eduard overtrees rather than actual kits, but I ended up getting a couple of kits too.I will hopefully release that video tommorow, and it was actually quite nice to see you getting a couple of different subjects, unlike me,as I mainly picked up aircraft.Great to see your ongoing projects also, and I can't wait for that Avro to be done.Good luck! :)
Thanks mate - will look forward to your video. The big hold up now for the York is the decals - my printer has broken so I'm trying to decide what to do...
After a quick google search,I could not find any aftermarket decals for the Dan Air one, apart from one website where they were priced at £45 which for me personally is a bit expensive for decals.Good luck in finding a solution,I am sorry I could not help. 😢
Looks like a decent haul Stuart. I'm tempted to get some over trees for the B17 there are so many decals included. I'd love to have a bash at a CSM model to so I'll look forward to seeing you do that
It seems like such a waste of decals, doesn't it? It nice to have choices but when you have 6 or 7 options, all very different, and most of those decals go unused. Eduard stuff was selling like hotcakes - next year I will make a list of stuff I might want and head straight there. By the time I got there (afternoon) most of the overtrees left were Spitfire or 109 variants.
@@ModelNerd absolutely. It's such a waste. Especially with this B17 having nine or ten options. I like the over trees idea though. I've a few Eduard kits there so may end up dipping in for a few others
Every day is a school day I never knew sprue trees were a thing you could buy in their own… I also couldn’t resist a CSM kit from Telford. I bought the minerva! Can’t wait to build it! Best wishes. Marc.
@ModelNerd I have build couple planes and three vehicles, the last I made was the Lanchester and nieupor amazing kits,I have the one you got but it requires interior work and have room for improvements that I don't have the tine at the moment to build it but is great,I am actually the person who makes all the box artworks for them and many other companies like Eduard, they sent me samples all the time 😉 my favorite so far is the Romfell Panzerwagen because of the shape and got all doors and hacthes open it was great to add all the extra details.
Every Eduard limited edition kit I build,I buy 3 sometimes 4 over tree kits for the said kit,so I can make all versions in the kit,all you really need to do is buy the roundels.of which I have several sets
Makes sense. And if you're lucky some kits (like my Zero) include multiple versions of the roundels etc because they are all slightly different sizes or styles :)
I was under the same impression. I think part of the problem is the photography, film, dust, and other factors make the colours very hard to distinguish on period photos - so they often look solid grey.
@ - Yes, it’s dust in particular. Any vehicle travelling in the Thirties would be quickly veiled in the stuff. When you look at freshly washed panzers the grey paint is so dark that it’s almost black in colour. Also the colour densities of panzer grey and dark brown are very similar so are difficult to discern on monochrome photos.
@ Me too. The looks of the armoured cars (Romfell and Lanchester) are striking and I like the quirky design of the caudron, like a flying bathtub ☺️. Like the Nieuports too.
I didn't know about the Eduard overtrees. What a great idea! Looks like you had a great time 😄

It kind of is! I decided to make a (pretty short) list of things I might want to pick up there, to avoid too many spontaneous purchases :)

@@BobbyG-bp9xr that's it - thank you!
An excellent haul of kits 👍 nice selection, the armored car looks fantastic 🤤
Thanks. Yes, I'm looking forward to it.
The WW1 machine gun vehicle kit looks awesome: it's usually worth the money to get the quality. Thanks for the video and best wishes.
Thank you mate - yes, you're right. I will definitely look at other CSM kits in the future, once I've reduced the size of the stash a bit!
A nice haul ,hopefully getting panzer I at Christmas ,gotta love Tamiya. Loved the armoured car ,skull 💀 and cross bones all the way.
It's a nice looking kit for sure.

Ah, nice - that will be a good build. Cheers mate!
Hi Stu. some very nice kit's there, I will definitely be getting the panzer I and then maybe the Academy Panzer I to compare it with. lol,
I did wonder about the Academy kit - it looks like you get more for your money there, with a couple of extra figures and a motorbike...
I wonder if Bovington has something on the Ehrhardt?
Good question - I will have a look.
Hey Stu - a shame we didn’t meet up at Telford - nice buys.
Cheers Liam. Yes - to be honest it was so busy I felt like the day was over before I even saw half the show. Rushed myself a bit to be honest.
@ aha no worries Stu.
you going to love copperstate models kits ,i have build few of them

Recent research suggests that nearly all of Germany’s Panzers employed the 1/3 brown camo scheme in Poland in 1939.

CSM make great models and do tend to specialise in the Armoured Car. I particularly liked the Romfell kit that they do
Yes, that does look like a good kit
Hoping to land a CSM kit myself but they are not easy to get in my country without having to pay a bomb for them.
Yeah, they're a bit pricey in shops here - there's a few I would go for (including some aircraft) if I had the money.

Would have gone this year but unfortunately we’re tight on cash at the moment
Yeah, it's not a cheap trip - even if you don't buy anything at the show
Just a comment for the algorithm
