The first time I saw a Potoo I thought it was a prank! They are absolutely amazing birds. Their eyes are almost human like. If I was surprised by one of these while out for an evening walk (before knowing about them) I’d be so terrified! So cool!👍🏻
Here in my region we call them by their local native name "Urutau". They're ridiculously hard to find due to their camouflage skills and being very *very* shy. They also sometimes try to camouflage on wooden fenceposts, with mixed results
