Funnily, if you pet their butts they fall asleep. You can grab them fom behind quite easily. They will however try to move your fingers towards their claws with their legs. Do not let them do that! After they fall asleep you can put them on their head or any other pose you find amusing. After a while they will wake up a bit desoriented and annoyed.
I know an ex-Navy dude who stationed on Diego Garcia. He says those coconut crabs will stand in front of you with their claws open and dare you to pass. You have to run a half circle around them to avoid potential serious injury.

As a kid our parents took us to the south pacific where there were coconut crabs. On that island in 1971 there many things you had to watch out for. The first day we were there they pulled a 19 foot croc off the playground. Everyone seemed to take coconut crabs with respect. Especiallly at night!

It would be about an hour before the coconuts fell from the tree and he returned. I used a hatchet the open the coconuts so he could eat right away. I also fed him beer nuts and whatever fruits the galley had. He was great fun. When I left Diego in 1977, I let him go in the jungle. Boris may still be alive today. I hope he is.

moke tbh the crab has probably lived for a while seeing birds fly over its head to a new location thus learning the move by flight therefore after a extended period of time it knew to incapacitate a bird it had to break its wings. Most animals learn their prey by watching. Humans did the same!

Well it is plausible. If you get stranded on an island with these things, they're likely going to find you in your sleep. If they get a hold of you, they'll potentially break a bone. Can't even hide in a tree because they're great climbers.

I believe that her skeleton were recovered. They weren’t initially recognized as hers because there were missing bones but back in 2017 a scientist re-examined them and confirmed them as hers. They were found on an island that is home to this armored nightmare fuel creature. Or at least that’s what MrBallen said.

Black bear are considered mostly vegeterian. They'll only eat something else if it's easy or if they have no other choice.
Fun fact, most animals will eat whatever, no matter their classification of main diet. You can look up videos of horses and cows eating the chicks on farms. The classification represents an animals main diet but most animals when hungry or bored enough will snack on things outside of that main diet too.

Well it is plausible. If you get stranded on an island with these things, they're likely going to find you in your sleep. If they get a hold of you, they'll potentially break a bone. Can't even hide in a tree because they're great climbers.

I believe that her skeleton were recovered. They weren’t initially recognized as hers because there were missing bones but back in 2017 a scientist re-examined them and confirmed them as hers. They were found on an island that is home to this armored nightmare fuel creature. Or at least that’s what MrBallen said.
