Yeah that sucks guys sorry too here about that some campgrounds don’t care or don’t have personal too maintain their parks anyway guys send some of that rain our way it’s been wicked dry I’m not really complaining but we need rain up here in NH everything is dry . We camp near ATV parks and by the time we get off the trails to camp we’re covered in dirt where we’re not supposed to be covered in dirt . Keep up the good work on the scratches looks like you got them . Thanks guys great video 💯👍🏻🇺🇸
It's been pretty dry but we aren't complaining!! We'll take the dry over rain, but the rain still loves us. The prices that park charged we expected a nicer kept park overall and it was pretty sad looking for the prices. Could really be nice if they just did a few things like ground keeping and blacktop oh well
Sure takes a long time for license plates in Illinois. Idaho temp tag is for 45 days. Plates come within 30 days. I am sure personalized plates is a different program. Have never had them yet. My dad always told me a story of getting into a hit and run situation. “Officer I don’t remember that much about the car that hit me but his license plates said BOB” That thought ruined my desire for personalized plates 😇. Sick story. He was a retired Cop, but always made me laugh. Good luck and love your channel.
We were given 45 day temp tags. Trailer tags aren't transferable to a motorhome so we had to get new plates and decided to get personalized plates! I don't think we will be involved where we hit and run with the super c so don't think we will worry about that😂 thank you for watching!
Wandering Wagners ha ha, me neither.. that was 40 yrs ago when my dad said that. Am 70 now and stopped drinking 20 yrs ago so me neither. I still think of my dad saying every time I see a personalized plate 🤠
@@WanderingWagners I've had one for years. I believe what you have is a standard polisher. The DA is a whole different beast. You can buy the pad at HF or nicer pads from www.autogeek.net which has product for days also. Mike would have fun. Your wraith would become a whole different depth of color.
Yeah we definitely weren't expecting that to happen! Another thing that wasn't covered was how unlevel majority of the sites were too. After everything we just decided to find another campground.
Yep just need to buy a wiring harness and the base plate for the truck and that's it! Haven't done it yet but I'm sure we will show it on video if we decide to try it
Hey guys. Just a quick opinion from a former detail pro. First, black is INCREDIBLY hard to remove blemishes from. Second, you mostly need the proper tools (high speed buffers, pads, compounds, etc) to deal with scratches. You need the friction/heat to get the chemicals to work properly. Having said that, compounds have come a long way and there are some good things available to consumers. If what you’re doing is working for you then that’s awesome. The alternative would cost hundreds, either buying the equipment or paying a pro. Either way, remember that black needs a ton of protection on it and it unfortunately will most likely scratch again. All that aside, you two are doing a fantastic job with the damage you were given. Remember to wax the heck out of it. Having a garage will keep it protected longer obviously. Again, great job. Good luck. Troy
Thank you for your professional opinion! We love black but they show dirt and scratches so easily but yet we still love black vehicles haha what we are doing is working ok.. the scratches aren't visible from all angles now but they are still there😞 we are still working on them and may have to consider professional help for some of them
Wonder if a couple of rolls of 3M clear vinyl about two feet wide and 25' or so long would protect the paint in the future. A couple of rolls on each side...Really love how the motorhome makes travel and setup so easy.
Such a bummer when you get scratches on a new vehicle but just think it's christened now so you should be ok now.And I know about black vehicles my husband and I both have black ones you have to keep them waxed & washed.🙂🇨🇦👍
We are definitely going to get it fixed up because we like to keep things nice for us and for when we will eventually trade in down the line haha love black vehicles but they're higher maintenance
Ouch! Sorry to see the scratches. We went to a new place last weekend (pull-thru sites) and after setting up and going for a walk I noticed the road to leave had a lot of low branches. We are 13' 5". When we left, I backed out and went down that road since there were no branch issues. (Probably looked like an idiot but I'm not risking my roof, etc..) Definitely something I pay attn to now that we are so tall. Thx for another great vid!
Smart thinking! This was on the way in and no way to avoid it getting to the site as everything was one way. The sites there were severely sloped and that's why we didn't stay. We couldn't even begin to get level and the other sites weren't any better so we just decided to head down the road. It sucked because we really wanted to stay but then we noticed how deep the scratches were!
I flat tow my 08 F150 4x4. You ask how I have a drive shaft disconnect. A lot of people say I would have a problem. It's called maintenance. I've been towing it now 6yrs. I love it.I also went with air braking system. Love it. I have a 39 ft diesel pusher.
Wandering Wagners thanks. I came from a Toyota world, but am now into Chevelle and C10’s (few videos of them on my channel). But found you while looking for a Nexus Triumph 35TSC. Getting ready to order one and a possibility a diesel Jeep Unlimited to tow with it. Got 4 kids that we need to be out camping and doing outside stuff with. Your channel has been really helpful.
Quixx 2 part scratch remover, and we bought a standard buffer wheel. It seemed to do an ok job but they are still there at certain angles but looks so much better
The jeep is not going away until you guys decide to do a thing :). I love waxing my stick and tin trailer with that Meguiars that Lynn got. Spray on rinse off so easy.
When you take the doors off, there is a door strap and if you remove the strap the door can swing unlimited and can hit the side of the Jeep... Very common dent in Jeeps
Negotiate good deals, money down, extra money on payments always, never take less than you owe on trade. 😁 We don't spend a lot on regular things, we save it for RVs and vehicles. Plus we don't have children.
You may have commented on this in the past, but is there an advantage of the outside storage doors swinging up. Seems swinging to the side would be easier.
Interesting, how is it labeled Cummins generator yet its a Kubota? 🤔 why not just call it what it is? Both companies make great engines Sorry to see and hear about those scratches... that RV part knows better than that, SHAME ON THEM
Yeah it's an Onan Cummins brand generator with a Kubota engine. The scratches really put a damper on our weekend😫 luckily we worked hard to make them less obvious but we agree with you about the park
The dogs are a very popular part of our family and channel haha we are probably going to see what all we need to do to get the truck set up to be towed. Options are always nice!😁
Come on guys you've got to get rid of the jeep, it's got a dent in it! (BTW Mike it looks like that dent came from the mirror.) I'm just wondering if a little 1600 or 2000 grit wet sanding would have made that scratch repair go a little faster. It looks like what you were using was just 2 different grits of rubbing compound, but I don't really know. Have fun guys. On yeah, one more thing I just signed a purchase agreement on my house yesterday so I should be full time in a Wraith come January or February!
We tried the same paper in a test area and it looked like it made it worse. We might get some professional opinions. For what we are using is doing ok but they are still there at angles
Hi guys! Ouch to the damage, oooh, that would make me sick but, y'all handled it... The Bride and I are always looking for those low hanging branches usually on the skinny roads heading to PA State Parks, shame you had them "in" the campground. I always wondered about "toads"... what do you have to do to pull a vehicle behind you? We like all your videos! Y'all seem like great people, and so nice to your pups! Stay safe and strong!
To tow the Jeep we put the transmission in gear and the transfer case in neutral. Not sure why it has to be in gear but that's what Jeep says to do. I've read that the Silverado can be flat towed but we still need to read the owner's manual on the exact procedure.
I would have to look at the ROI for both the GERMAX and the JEEP. Of course I would setup the Jeep for overlanding adventures where the Wraith can't go (RTT, Goose Gear Kitchen, Power Supply...) Now back to ROI - I'm pretty sure you can write off the Truck as a business expense if you have a LLC tied to your TH-cam channel. I would look into a Diamondback HD cover for the Germax - you will have the option to load an ATV right on the back.
Yeah we like the extra options the truck bed would give us. We do plan on getting a small trailer for other fun toys to bring with us! (Stay tuned😉) we'd love to do more "Jeep things" and find a few campgrounds that allow that to happen! We can't wait to have more activities to do!
With a shop like that and a rig that size, I'd invest in an 8ft rolling scaffolding, for waxing the sides. Not too expensive and very easy to use than a ladder. Scaffold can double as a movable shelf in the garage when not in use. Put things on it that go from house to RV between trips, roll it from door to door.
Three months! That’s not bad. We’re in Texas, bought a new motor home in February, still waiting on the backlog! The dealer has kept us up to date with temp tags.
We'd still take the Jeep with us 99% of the time but occasionally might want to be able too take the truck. Wouldn't be an all the time thing, that's for sure😁
I don't believe we would have to continue to use fillers. The point of these products is to fill in the scratch, with regular washing/waxing maintenance shouldn't need more work.
So sad to hear about those scratches! I have a hard time getting over things like that. Hopefully you will be able to polish them out. Just back from camping for a week at one of our favourite spots in our little 14 footer. Great camping and good beach and campfire time too. Already planning our next get away. Always great videos! Happy camping!
Maybe you can answer in the comments? But when you showed the generator it said Cummins on a sticker but then you said it’s a different type of engine Kabota leave you said?
New plate on the beast! Two Wagners and two waggers. Tow the Duramax, why not? Just get that bumper sticker that says Stay Back, I’m pushing as hard as I can.
We didn't mention that the sites were so unlevel that we couldn't even begin to get level. We had to bring the back up 15" and it just wasn't going to happen. We looked for other sites at the campground and they were all the same or already taken so we just decided to leave. The damage was already done, you're correct. We did try to make it work but it just couldn't happen this time.
Nice Video!!! I will ALWAYS put an S at the beginning and end of that plate......... Thanks for letting me see me on tv😁😁😁 #SWAGNATION #KICKINITWITKENNY
Yes! That was also a thought because we used to have a nice golf cart and we have been missing it. It would be nice to have an option to take the truck with the golf cart
@@WanderingWagners I think their fix was to make the panel a bolt-on for easier replacement. At least on my JL that panel has three hex head screws and it comes off easily. Not really a GOOD fix but...
That is true but we have never had scratches this bad before! Especially from trees... We are trying to keep it nice because we do tend to trade often😂 but we also love it and paid a lot of money for it haha
@@WanderingWagners Yes I'd be upset too, from personal experience it's always going to be something happening to it. Definitely you have a nice set up all around and certainly a cash explosion .
Definitely set the dmax up to be towed. You never know when that weekend will come and the jeep is down bc of something. Plus your riding style going ti the camp ground mise well ride in style when your there !!!!
Really!? We know someone who is seasonal there, which is why we planned on going. But the sites just didn't workout for us. They said it could be loud there sometimes but nice to hear others opinions too
We've stayed there multiple times. We like to stay by the pull thru sites. Nice and level. Took a drive few weekends ago to see what the new ownership did to the place and saw a lot of campers on Jenna blocks to get level. Wont stay in this sites anytime soon.
With that and the sites where we couldn't even begin to get level, we opted to find another campground. Sucks but oh well. Hopefully new management will pave the roads and trim trees and list that the sites are heavily sloped online for booking purposes
Super glad that it was tree branches that scratched up your Super C and not someone. Takes lots of work at times to keep those black vehicles looking good. Good job fixing the scratches Super C is looking as good as new. Thanks for sharing guys and I like the new plate.
The trees had it against us this weekend😂 scratches down both sides! But we are trying our best to get it looking as good as new. The scratches are much deeper than we anticipated and are taking a long time to fix but hopefully it'll be as good as new before the weekend. Thanks for watching and for the comment, Ric!😁

Haha that would be a great bumper sticker if we decide to tow the truck behind😂
Close to our neighborhood
Which place is close to you?
@@WanderingWagners were Vickery area you were bellview
WAWAS
Good guesses!
I guess I missed something. Why would you leave a campground after you scratched up your rig pulling in? The damage was already done.
The name on the plate is the beast
That's a great guess!! Unfortunately that plate option is already in use😞
Why not options are great to have!
Exactly! Can't have too many options😁
Raining
Of course it is😁
My guess for license plate 😆
OMG I just checked and that is available😂⛈ guess we didn't want that juju following us
I see when you were parked at BWW you seemed to be against the curb. Do you reverse with your jeep attached? I was always told you cant.
We weren't against a curb a BWW. We left enough room to get out going forward, but You are correct, NO reversing with the Jeep in tow!
I hate trees near driveways and roads ! Been there !!
It was so painful to hear! There was nothing we could do to avoid it either😞
That's a way to get more firewood🤔😎🔥
Wand R N
That plate is already being used haha
Go for it. That would be a Sharp setup 😎
Thank you!! We agree. It would be a nice option to have occasionally
Nice Video!!! I will ALWAYS put an S at the beginning and end of that plate......... Thanks for letting me see me on tv😁😁😁 #SWAGNATION #KICKINITWITKENNY
SWAGNER and SWAG were both taken! So we opted for Wagners haha We gotta get your next video going!!
@@WanderingWagnersit's enroute to Swag Motion Studios
So much for being able to escape the police
We won't try to escape anyhow haha
WOAH! That sucks about the paint. Something I am so worried about with our Bounder because it is so large and expensive.
Yeah we never received damage before! We both heard it and there was nothing we could do to avoid it! 😫 It was so painful to hear
@@WanderingWagners I'm cringing just reading that. Glad you were able to take care of it.
It's still a work in progress... I thought it would be much easier to fix than is proven to be
Like my friend says, "You can't hide money!" LOL
Ain't that the truth lol
The $WAGWAY...
I see alot of diesel pusher/ motorhome pulling full size trucks with a golf cart in the bed. It just gives you different options.
Yes! That was also a thought because we used to have a nice golf cart and we have been missing it. It would be nice to have an option to take the truck with the golf cart
WWS
Good guess but, nope😁
I’m terrible at guessing. I’m sure it’s amazing. Deana
We are pretty generic with it so it's fun lol
Wan. Wag....plate.
We actually considered WANWAG! but decided for WAGNERS
Ah yes... the "I took off the limiting strap and let my door swing too far open Jeep dent". So far I've avoided it on my JL, but you never know. :)
Exactly haha happened in an instant... Oh well😂
@@WanderingWagners I don't think I've ever seen a Jeep without that dent. One would think Jeep would have found a remedy for that by now.
I thought the same thing
@@WanderingWagners I think their fix was to make the panel a bolt-on for easier replacement. At least on my JL that panel has three hex head screws and it comes off easily. Not really a GOOD fix but...
I can see where towing the truck would allow you to take some large items that would not fit in the Jeep.
Yeah that's a benefit! Maybe an electric bike or golf cart like we used to have a with the toy hauler. 🤔 You know us we love new toys!
Its an RV, it's going to get scratched!
Exactly our thoughts!!😁😁
Hmmm... When I saw Lynn's Instagram post, I though she was asking if she should get her super truck setup to tow the Wraith! ;-) ;-) ;-)
Haha I'm sure the 2500 could tow the Wraith for a bit😂😎
4 low can do it all
Well at least y’all kept this RV long enough to get the plates Lol
Haha that's true!!
The beauty of clear coat, minor scratches will buff out
We thought it would buff out a lot easier than it is! 😫 They're proving to be quite resilient scratches😞
:-)))) :-))))
Thanks for the comment!
Good call getting out of Clare Mar...... You think that's aggravating wait till about 2 a.m......till forever!
#nofinsleep
Personal tag is a great idea. I would guess RVING
Great guess! So many options are already taken, but we did find one that fit us perfectly😁
The only way you'll match the fuel mileage I got while driving your 2500 is by towing it behind the Wraith! #26.2 #leaderboard
That's true! We all know it doesn't get that with my lead foot driving it everyday😎
Lynn feels the need for speed
You can take the girl off the drag strip but you can't take the drag racing out of the girl 😁
@@WanderingWagners Really enjoy the videos.
WAN DER
Great guess and option but that one was taken!
Great Vlog as usual. Just “Wandering” when pulling the Jeep, does the odometer climb with the engine off?
No the Jeep odometer does not go up when it's being towed
@@WanderingWagners you're absolutely right when in tow mode the transfer case is in neutral and the transmission is in park
We put the Transmission in gear and transfer case in neutral. Manual transmission Jeep.
It’s got to be “Kenny”.
Haha that would be funny but that is already taken LOL
Keep..
