I do think that each mode reacts to music, they just do it in different ways. One seems to shoot out bursts of different colors that travel along the strip based on the current volume and frequency of the music. Some bursts where short and others long. There also seems to be modes that pulse with the volume and change colors with the frequency. Interesting device, I'm gonna have to get one. I'll make a custom PCB with power input for it.
So I'm trying to try a different controller currently using the sp105e wired it like u had originally done. How did u wire in the X2 and sp107e thanks in advance.
Thank you for the support. All the controllers hook up the same way. All of them are plug and play. You need power, ground and data coming from the controller to your LEDS
@@BoredGuyWithACamera thanks I ran the sp105e then ordered on Amazon what was said to be a X1 upgraded controller but is a csy888 music controller the input wire for really hot and wouldn't work. So for now Im using the original sparke controller that came with LEDs I soldered in 18awg and ran to sp901e. It works decently and has music control and remote. I'm waiting on sp108e for wifi control.
Do you use all BTF lights and controllers? I'm thinking about doing 12v LED strips but would I still need power injection? How long are your runs of strips? What controller did you end up sticking with? I'm looking for an option for permanent lights that I can integrate into my smartthings hub or alexa and use as dancing christmas lights
90% of my set up is from BTF . I stayed with the SP105E running two SP901E amplifiers. I have 8 sets of strips running on them with out power injection with no color loss. I ran wires from inside of the garage to the start of 5 strips and 1 running 3 strips . Idk if I got lucky or this set up performs really well.
