  • @Mattie_LIGHT
    @Mattie_LIGHT 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If that’s true limestone it’s recommended that you lay the stone with a type S, rake the joint out 1/4”, come back the next day and tuck point with a type N mortar. Limestone is so porous it will suck the water out of the mortar creating cracks. Also, it’s not recommended you lay limestone at grade. It will wick the ground water up discoloring the stone. You need to lay a concrete product 1st or Adair

    Hi Ryan, greetings from Montreal. Can you refresh us with the 3 rules of stone? I understand when you lay small across in length its no more than 4', the joints are not more than 1/2", if you lay a small stone that ontop its necessary to lay a medium to = a big stone aswell as avoid no less than 4" away from a joint. Great video. 👍

    Spent a long time on nothing but field stone. Only man made stone I’ve ever set was sticky stone or the natural stone cut thin and layed the same way. I’d be interested in trying my hand at the material your using. Don’t see much of it in my area.
