    I needed to see how you set the close limit and then cycled the gate open and closed 4 times per the instructions, because it doesn't say to program the remote yet and I'm having problems with this step of setup.

      Let me see if I still have that info

      @Knottsqmw Thanks for the reply, I ended up resetting the control board and starting over with the close limit setting and save, then imediatly programing the remote push button using the S3 button. Then the control remote worked to operate and cycle the gate.

      Are you referring to the wire coming from the house to the control box, or the wire I put on the gate?

    Great video thank you! Does this model hook up to wifi?

      Thank you! Yes you can hook it to Wi-Fi with an adapter (extra cost) and use your phone .

    why does it need a battery if you plug in directly to an electrical outlet???

    • @Knottsqmw
      @Knottsqmw  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I thought the same thing, but it has to have a 12 volt supply for the computer board to power on.

      @@Knottsqmw So you do need both? thanks

      It also keeps the battery charged so that in the event of a power outage you can still open and close the gate

    Would you know where the serial number is located on the arm? I have the lighter weight unit but would think the serial number would be located in the same area. I can't find the serial# on mine for warranty purposes. Thanks.

    Whats the 2 extra holes for in the arm side?

      I believe for different angles depending on how your gate is set up

    Tractor supply told me doesn’t need electric hooked up - just battery? Gate to far from house

    • @Knottsqmw
      @Knottsqmw  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct. In my case, you can’t just have electric hooked up . You have to have a 12 volt supply . I thought I could just wire it into my house directly, but ended up still needing a battery supply to make it function

    • @MrTaylorfenoglio
      @MrTaylorfenoglio 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Correct but you need a way to charge the battery. So either plugged into an outlet or a solar charger. It has an on board solar controller so all you would need is the solar panel sold separately. I'm pretty sure you can buy a cheap one from harbor freight vs paying $120 for one.

    • @Knottsqmw
      @Knottsqmw  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sure I commented on your other post. You must have a battery hooked up. It can be a small 12v battery or a large one , are you hookup up to a AC power source 120v with the transformer?

  • @lorenarealsalazar9884
    @lorenarealsalazar9884 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I don't have the battery hook on . is this why?

    • @Knottsqmw
      @Knottsqmw  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have to have a battery on it .

  • @findmethe90s
    @findmethe90s ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello, just rang that bell.. Nice work here. So the unit also needs a battery correct? The transformer is to charge and maintain the battery and the supplied butt connectors on the wire go to a non supplied 12 volt battery, is that right??? thanks again !

    • @Knottsqmw
      @Knottsqmw  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I believe so . Been a while since I did it I would have to watch video again to remember, but it’s something like that lol
