    There are a lot of ways to deal with Kraytt Dragon. Vigilance has endless removal, Cunning has bounce, and Command has capture/unit stealing.
    Aggression is the only aspect that I see struggling against it.

    • @AVikingNerd
      @AVikingNerd 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      most capture mechanics generally require the units be in the same arena, and either that your units have equal or higher cost, health, or power, vigilance could deal with 1 krayt early, but they'd need to be holding a fell the dragon, rivals fall, or vanquish, and they're still giving up all the resources they have to kill it it while still taking 4-6 dmg, and you've already ramped to 9, so your pumping out high curve threats.

    I'm curious how this deck is going to handle sabine decks or ones that try to go wide instead of big... have you done any testing with decks like that?

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I tested against Sabine like 50x. It’s why I added in the 3x sundari peacekeeper. The ability to play that card on turn one and establish Suttle life gain helps you to stabilize. Poe and Wrecker play amazing defense against those decks, and Reinforcement Walker is the stabilizer that closes the game out if Poe and Wrecker don’t do it already.
      Bright Hope, Echo Base defender and your ambush units help slow things down and take out early threats as well.
      Your ability to play Poe on turn 2 is insane.
      Once I got a feel for this deck, and added in the Sundari peacekeepers for consistent early life gain I started to destroy aggro. You can get out reinforcement Walker so easily and aggro just can’t deal with that. Poe and Wrecker help to change the momentum of the games

Palpatine is definitely the toughest matchup because they can match your ramp, and steal your big stuff.

    How does it match up against iden blue removal and hand destruction decks?

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Iden Blue Removal is always going to be hard to play against. But you have big units early and ramp to your advantage. Krayt Dragon is literally the control killer.
      The sideboard is big for that matchup as you are bringing home one, u-wing, black one, and cassian. Another card to consider is “Endless Legion” for those long games.
      I don’t think hand disruption decks would be too much of a problem. The ability to cheat nuts out really helps. The ramp, card draw with black one and reinforcement Walker. Recruit also helps a lot in a matchup like that. They May slows us down but eventually we will out power them

    What decks have you tested this against? I can't see this being good against most upgraded set 1 decks like boba, sabine, or even han

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Test it for yourself and let me know what you find out. I tested it against Sabine like 50x. Once I made the changes of adding in Sundari Peacekeeper for that early life gain I started to destroy Sabine and aggro decks. Sundari combined with Sentinels, plus overpowering aggro with Poe and Wrecker because you get them out quicker is too much for aggro. Reinforcement Walker is so easy to get out in this matchup and it is too much for Sabine/aggro
      Boba is always going to be a worthy opponent. But what does Boba have that this deck does not have? We have a ton of ramp, we can get our leader out on turn 2 potentially and can often get it out before Boba because we have more ramp. We have very strong Units that we can cheat out, we have ambush with (timely, and ECL), we have life gain, we have card advantage, Poe (one shotting things, destroying upgrades, and taking out weak units) and Wrecker are incredible against Boba, and we have a game ender in Krayt Dragon. We can ramp better than Boba, and our units are strong enough to one shot just about everything in their deck. Poe deals with the upgrades and can play very good defense. If you are worried about Fett's Firespray we have Bright hope to slow it down, and Marauder to finish it off. Recruit helps you find what you need. Cheating out Reinforcement Walker or ambushing it in is very strong in this matchup to get those 6 life gain turns. You could also sideboard in Consortium Starviper as an additional space unit and form of life gain, which was a card that I had in here originally.
      Han will be tough, but again we are ramping/cheating units out. We ramp just as effectively. We have a lot of early pressure and the ability to get Poe and Wrecker out so early combined with ambushing with ECL/timely is what will help us to turn the corner. They have big units, but we have most of the same ones, and Krayt Dragon as the game ender. Those matchups will likely come down to who is the more skilled player and getting Krayt Dragon out to end the game. Again having 3x recruit really helps us to dig for the right unit when we need it

    • @MrBefaro
      @MrBefaro หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SWUDAD I really like the deck, but Removal, Exhaust and bounce will be a big problem here, right? Especially if we only play 1 unit per turn those can hit pretty hard. And Yellow and Blue are full of those.

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@MrBefaro Yeah absolutely bounce effects are going to be difficult. The good thing about this deck is as the game goes one with Han's ability it will be easier for us to play 2-3 units a turn.
      I would say Hard control is going to be tough. Especially because we don't have an awesome card like Relentless to deal with them.
      I would say test those matchups out a bunch. Unfortunately, with being a conent creator I have to move to other decks and am not able to focus on this deck as much as I would like too. I will test them out as well. My thinking is that I would focus more on getting as many cheaper units out as possible to put as much pressure on them as I can. The sideboard is an area that probably needs tweaking for these types of matchups. Emperor's Legion, Cassian, U-Wing, and home One are great, but still could use some improvement.
      Blue has way too many removal spells now IMO

  • @ImaITman

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Appreciate it! So ramp is a term that means “increasing your resources at a faster pace than your opponent by playing cards in your deck that say “put into play as a resource”. This allows you to play much bigger units at a much earlier turn than normal.
      The trick of course is being able to survive because super aggressive opponents can beat you as early as turn 3 if you aren’t careful. So you have to have ways to block your opponent and ways to gain life to “stabilize” or get to a place where you can turn the momentum of the game in your favor to than use your bigger units to close the game out

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Greatly appreciate it!!! I mispoke on that. You can't play "Spark of Hope" after a leader unit dies.
      The way that you use "Spark of Hope" mainly is for sacrificing "Reckless Gunslinger" on turn 1, so that you can ramp on turn 1 into 3 resources. You can than "Smuggle" Reckless Gunslinger back from your resources later on in the game to help you close the game out. You could also add a couple more 1 resource units like "SpecForce Solider" to increase your odds of being able to do this combo on turn 1. This combo allows you to cheat Poe in on turn 2 when you are at 4 resources, or just immediately ambush in a Modded Cohort with no damange, or even a K-2SO on turn 2.
      The other way to use "Spark of Hope" is just anytime a unit dies as a cheap form of ramp for just 2 resources. It's incredible in here because of your ability to cheat units in, and you will often have 2 open resources to play it afterwards.

      I have updated the list a little since this video to address weakness in space, and the aggro matchup has felt even better. The aggro matchup takes a lot of play testing. I tested it like 50x before making the original video. Sundari Peacekeeper and now "Consortium Starviper" are very important early to stabilize. You are using Poe and Wrecker to play defense and turn the momentum of the game as you work towards Reinforcement Walker to close the game out as well as stabilize. You are not really trying to play the dragon in the aggro matchup. You are taking the dragon out in Bo3 and bringing in "Strike True, and Overwhelming Barrage". Once you get a good amount of reps and get into a good rhythm with the deck than this matchup feels good and becomes very winnable. Hope that helps! Updated list below

      @@lightspeedbear SLT is very good in here. Obviously against aggro it’s not what you are looking for. For this deck what I would recommend is play testing against Sabine like 50x on forcetable to get a feel for the aggro matchup
      The aggro matchup is about sentinels, and using your ambush units early to play defense. You are using consortium starviper, and sundari peacekeeper for early lifegain. Timely intervention is very important. Than Poe and Wrecker help you to stabilize especially if you can get them out earlier, but I usually wait to ECL them in against aggro because it’s so powerful for swinging the momentum of the game. Once you have stabilized Reinforcement Walker is what you are looking for if Poe and Wrecker don’t close the game out by themselves. You aren’t looking to play Krayt Dragon in the aggro matchup 90% of the time so it gets sideboarded out in Bo3

      @@SWUDAD This deck is fantastic! However, I find that double red Sabine seems to be a weakness. If I get the ramps straight out of the gate, then I'll get it, but if I don't get the ramp my buddy wins every time. Maybe I'm just playing the deck wrong, but a super aggressive deck and not immediately ramping seems to be the Achilles heel here. Any recommendations? I'll definitely keep this build together (not cheap to build lol), but maybe there are some tweaks to combat an aggressive deck if we don't draw the ramp cards off the break.

      @@shagharbored Against aggro you are just playing defense. You are trading units early and trying to keep their board empty. You are using Consortium Starviper, and Sundari Peacekeeper for early life gain. Echo Base/Bright Hope to slow things down. Modded Cohort is great at coming in and taking out a threat, as well as Marauder. Most of the time you are saving your ECL for Poe/Wrecker. Occasionally, you might use it on a Starviper/Peacekeeper for a favorable trade and to gain life.
      You rarely use ramp in these matchups as trading units is too important. Once you get to Poe/Wrecker ECL turn you are usually able to turn the game in your favor. At this point you can either close the game out with either Poe/Wrecker while going wide with cheaper units/Sentinels. The other thing you are doing is looking for Reinforcement Walker to stabilize and put the game away. 9 out of 10 games you are not playing Krayt Dragon and will sideboard that out in Bo3 for Strike True/Barrage. I would say that in general the aggro matchup is very favorable, but just takes some practice. I would recommend playing against any aggro deck you are having difficulty with like 30-50x on forcetable so you get into a rhythm of how to beat that matchup. Here is my most current list below. 2x Spec Soldier is another way to activate turn 1 "Spark of Hope" play, and a way to get sentinels out of the way for certain matchups.

    I just manhandled nearly this same list with new blue/yellow boba. The deck really hates power of the dark side. A LOT. poe coming in at 4 hp is also super sketch because he dies to so much stuff. Yea hard control is definitely going to be a struggle. I can't believe blue got 3 more great pieces of removal this set. It's almost too much. Honestly, it makes feel like Relentless might be a 3 of in the sideboard because you cheat it in earlier at 10 resources, or maybe just going more aggressively with some cheaper units for that matchup. Need to test it out a lot more that's for sure.
