    The first gun I bought when I turned 18 was a mossberg 88. That was 20 years ago and I have never treated that gun good because at the time I always expected it to break since I bought it brand new for $99. The joke was on me though cause it has never once failed or jammed!

    You missed to of the best deals out there, both handguns. First is the Taurus Defender like of revolvers. I have both Rugers and Smiths, I just picked up a Taurus Defender 3", 6 shot 38 Special and can't believe the quality and performance. A 6 shot 3" J Frame size revolver that IMHO beats S&W at their own game and at half the price. Second, the Tisas Line of 1911's out of Turkey imported by SDS. I picked up a Tank Commander 9 for just less than $400. A 9mm 1911 Commander with a forged slide and frame and a hammer forged, RAMPED barrel. What a beauty, G.I. A2 styled and shoots like a dream, very accurate, functions with everything I put thru it in different mags and the slide to frame fit is tighter than my Gold Cup. They have a full sized 5" Govt. Model in 9mm or 45acp for the same price and have a Carry Series with all the bells and whistles including Novak Sights, enhanced grip safety and full beavertail for just $100 more. I can't build them that cheap, just fantastic pistols that you need to take a look at if you like cheap firearms that perform way outside their weight class for half the money of a name brand.

    • @destroyingdadxx2274
      @destroyingdadxx2274 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree on both counts. Taurus guns in general are a great value. I have a Tisas D10 10mm 1911 and it’s absolutely beautiful and shoots great. Try finding a all steel forged 10mm 1911 with adjustable sights and custom stippling for $750! It’s a great deal.

    Here’s a little story about pricing.
    Waaay back when, I worked for a GMC dealer when the Denali came out. Listed around $28K for a mid level. The GM rep told me that by the third year of production, the tooling has been paid off, and it costs right at $9600 to produce. But it still sells for, well, by now three years later, $32 K.
    Now think Glock. Tooled up in the 80’s. No expensive components. Rediculously low cost high profit plastic. Sells for what, six hundred bucks? Costs less than $40 in materials to produce, another $100 in labor, a bit for marketing, advertising, and shipping. Now what was that retail price again?
    That’s why a Turkish company can sell you a nice automatic for $250.

    The CVA scout is a super underrated gun … I have many different calibers but the 6.5 creedmore is a tack driver!!! It’s a honest 3/4 moa gun all day (mine is). Around 2017 ish you could get them on gunbroker for 250-275 … that’s why I have 5😂

      3/8 dovetail. I put a UTG dovetail to picatinny rail on mine with medium rings so it clears the rear sight. I could have accomplished the same thing by using high rings but the picatinny gave me a little more room to adjust for eye relief.

    Great video! All of those would be on my list as well. The only gun I was questioning was the Taurus 22. What makes the Taurus better than say the Sig 22 or the ruger 22/45. I ended up with all except the Taurus. I wanted it but the Sig holds more and Sigs all come standard with red dot cut out. The Taurus model that allows for red dot is really hard to find right now unless you want to pay double msrp. I snagged the Sig for like 380$ after tax. Actually went to the store for a completely different gun the Sig cross which your review along with other gun tuber videos had talked me into it, but at the store, they only had the 6.5 I was leaning more toward the 308. But ended up walking out with the Sig 322. The main plus side I see about the Sig is the manual of arms is the same as all their other newer pistols. It’s basically a miniature 320 or a little bigger 365. For training the 322 could help a lot of people.

      Being in Alaska, a good many carry the 10mm now, and it has successfully stopped/ killed Grizzlies. Sure, there are other, and more powerful options, but many choose the 10mm hvycst.

      I question how many people you know then. There are a good number of people moving towards the 10mm for bear defense. More than the.44 magnum? I don’t know. Plenty of people still use it though.

    Remington has made garbage all the way back....the model 700 series had a fault that caused them to fire when the safety was pushed off....or on. Dateline did a special on it. This problem could have been. Fixed per pennies per unit but the company allowed it to stay faulty for over 65 YEARS! I'm 50 years old and grew up 15 miles from the plant....YEAH I've seen the horrors unfold....I would personally never buy ANYTHING Remington. I used to buy their cheap ammo until a faulty 22 thunderbolt round cost me $100 at the gunsmith to fix my gun. Buyer beware....and you are beating a dead horse telling the ceo of Remington that their stuff is junk. NEWSFASH: just in...the people of Remington arms knows they are producing junky/dangerous guns and they DONT CARE. Buyer beware
