A question was presented to Prithvibhai regarding importance and learning urdu. I am a 68 years old man, living in the USE since the age of 17. I was born in a small city in the state of Gujarat. First time when I returned to India, finding and bringing back gujarati sugam sangeet and shastriy sangeet was my foremost desire. Along came ghazals... starting with first exposure to Ghulam Ali Sahab. Became aware of many others later. My main point: I started my journey to understan and fall in love with Urdu. I now write poems and ghazals in urdu. It has been a steadfast journey of intense and microscopic studies... not in india or pakistan but a far away land. Long live this beautiful langage.

What a great yugal bandi. Very appropriately this happened in Lahore which at one was a centre of Hindustani classical music. Lahore is my birth place and hence this is nostalgic.

This is easily the finest I have seen. I did not know if such fine young talent on both sides of the border. One is too busy hearing the "biggies" that one doesn't realise that hodd healthy talent is fast comming up in the form of prithvi, pratiba ayan, Mohammad Ali ji, (what a find). The great flute player (couldn't get his name) and of course Deepak ji on he violin. I think Md Salauddin sahib should get the highest award jointly from both governments. God bless you all.

A super mehfil arranged by Pak virsa and mr.yousuf sallahudin saheb i continued watched all program in house quarantine for covid 19positive.now I feel much better.
What a lovely program, what lovely sentiments! Wish we separated just this way seventy years ago like a bride going to her " sasural" with the hope of coming back again and again to her childhood home to receive the indulgence of her loved ones. Another thing. The art of ghazal and qawaali is a shared heritage and we should cherish together. Raag sangeet is now more widespread in India. I wish it is embraced in Pakistan, especially Lahore with the same passion as it was done in the forties and fiftes.

In this time of hate and rivalry created by the Politicians and the establishments of both sides of the divide. I have been a follower of subscriber of your youtube page but long before that I was a keen watcher of your programmes for the state owned PTV and been a fan of you and your exquisite taste in classical and traditional music of the subcontinent. I have never been to Haveli personally, though I have passed along it many times whenever I happened to be in Lahore, but watching these concerts on youtube and tv has always made me feel that I was present personally there. Last but not least, miss Iffat Umar, your presentataion and interviews add quality and depth to these progmmes. Being a brilliant actress, you are a great presenter and anchor. What a wonderful program for millions of people like me who are confined to their homes because of Corona. To see Indian artists perform in Pakistan was heartwarming.
A super mehfil arranged by Pak virsa and mr.yousuf sallahudin saheb i continued watched all program in house quarantine for covid 19positive.now I feel much better.
What a lovely program, what lovely sentiments! Wish we separated just this way seventy years ago like a bride going to her " sasural" with the hope of coming back again and again to her childhood home to receive the indulgence of her loved ones. Another thing. The art of ghazal and qawaali is a shared heritage and we should cherish together. Raag sangeet is now more widespread in India. I wish it is embraced in Pakistan, especially Lahore with the same passion as it was done in the forties and fiftes.

Mr Yousaf Salahuddin, your sevices for promoting culture and music of the subcontinent is of the highest class admirable. In this time of hate and rivalry created by the Politicians and the establishments of both sides of the divide. I have been a follower of subscriber of your youtube page but long before that I was a keen watcher of your programmes for the state owned PTV and been a fan of you and your exquisite taste in classical and traditional music of the subcontinent. I have never been to Haveli personally, though I have passed along it many times whenever I happened to be in Lahore, but watching these concerts on youtube and tv has always made me feel that I was present personally there.
Last but not least, miss Iffat Umar, your presentataion and interviews add quality and depth to these progmmes. Being a brilliant actress, you are a great presenter and anchor. Thanks to you and mr Yousaf, we are able to witness and enjoy these high calibre programmes.
