One of the stories I've heard about the 1911 to 1911-A change was something about changing the grade of steel they were made of, something about "dangerous glass-hard receivers," as I recall. When I was transferred into the MSO Portland OR armory, one of the .45s turned out to be a M1911.
That colt was cool especially with the RHPD markings..I don’t want to send people elsewhere but 9hole review and there podcast has an interview with a RHPD officer that was there for long time it was really interesting too hear about police officers over there and the guns, great interview and history if you’re into that stuff.
Different guns I know but I wanted to let you know about the Savage 99 I picked up on Friday After five months on layaway I was able to pick up my Savage 99 And yes I’ll be using it, this coming rifle season Details: Savage 99 (EG) Chambered .300 Savage Manufactured by savage in Chicopee Falls Massachusetts Circa 1952 Has checkering on the stock and the forearm Outfitted with a flip up rear sight and a Lyman 2A SA peep sight Even though the gun is over 70 years old the stock is in excellent shape still retaining a gloss finish
FYI Astra 600:: Post June 1944 France wasn't occupied by the Allies, it was liberated. And post 1949 Spain wasn't selling 600s to Germany but delivering the guns Germany had already paid for.
Had one like this, wish i never sold it . Sold it because I didn't like that it couldn't take a bayonet at the time like my other ak style . Was told only about 2500 was brought in and was modeled after their border guard .
@karllambert2350 they can take bayonets.... the polytech 56-2 took a type 1 bayonet like the legend....the norinco 56-2 took the type 2 Bayonet...the 56-2 are unique and rare in the usa with only 500-600 prebans imported
@@k24civicI've been under the impression that only 500-600 total preban 56-2 were Imported ... there were a bunch of parts kits tho that were built by bwest but the preban ones are the ones you want..
I love old revolvers it shows true art and craftsmanship when folks took pride in their work
I love and collect them too.
They are beautiful machines.
I remember seeing S&W model 10s with the RHKP markings, but this is the first one I've seen on a Colt.
The best Beretta innovation was the Beretta 93R Auto 9. Murphy liked it.
I want a baretta px4 storm
This format is awesome. The unboxing not so much. You have a great knowledge and enjoy to history. 👍

These gun reviews are definitely worth taking a look at.

I'd love to have that Beretta, I was looking at it on the We Buy Guns. I saw several nice Beretta on there but I think that's my favorite 👍👍

I have RHKP #7550 Colt Police Positive Special in .38 NP.
After Smith and Wesson developed the Models 27 & 19 in .357Magnum by the mid-50s, many Law Enforcement agencies went with those until the mid-80s.
I’ll be damned, I said 3weeks ago we don’t sell our guns, now 3weeks in a row there we are🤣😂🤣😂

Excellent video Thank you!!!
Suggestion: unboxing, one each month; Gun Review, one each day ... or two each day ... or three each day ...
Another great W.U.G.R ..

Did Marksman Shooting Sports get shut down by the ATF?
I hope not.. did you hear something?
Wish you guys would add chapters.
🤤🤤🤤🤤 I’ve been looking for that Chinese stock.
6? Are you ripping us off, Chris? Lol. I think it was 8 used were featured per week when I started watching. I've been wrong before though.
Chris explained here in Ep. 83 th-cam.com/video/PWaYwy7nPcY/w-d-xo.html
@@CraigArtley I kinda remember that video . I was just giving Chris a hard time because I like the guy.
Imported by polytech….david keng was polytech. That looks like a later import poly just by looking at the shade of the phenolic NOT bake.

Only about 500-1000 were imported by polytech 500-600 were imported by norinco and about 150-300 were imported by IACO.
