true they're all doping but even then, the gains made by doping are achieved during training, not even at the meets - it's not like taking PED's suddenly makes you run faster, most of them aid massively in recovery and just allow the athletes to train harder, longer and more frequently compared to a natural athlete. The results don't even require them to take some of the PEDs at the actual meets, besides, the PEDs these athletes take are substances that they're not even checking for yet and in the case of people like bolt, his old samples will never be retested and if they are found to have PEDs in them it'll never be publically released since it would utterly kill athletics

Testing religiously means nothing since you can really easily fake the results of a PED test, there are plenty of ways to reduce the amount of substances in your blood before the tests so they will not appear on the results I'm not saying that bolt is using drugs, just that the drug tests are a really bad argument to defend an athlete

There have been a rise in use recently, but at the high school level the training is much different between schools, so are the diet and sleep, and financial help. Even kids can have a leg up if they’ve been training their whole life instead of starting in high school. The top in performance I so small that everyone basically trains the same way, eats the same way, sleeps the same way, and is financially backed by sponsors. They need any boost they can to get to the lead.

Passive aggressive response to a simple question is usually a defensive move that may imply an admission of guilt. All Bolt and the others have to say is, "no I did not use drugs" but they didn't. If someone asks me if I ever took steroids, I just say "No" It isn't that hard to answer unless you can't say no. I have been asked a bunch of times since I train hard in the gym and look decent. I never have taken any offense to the question and I always just say no.

You have zero idea about how affective they are. They allow you to train way harder for longer periods of time and recovery feels almost instant. Nagging injuries disappear as well as new normal wear and tear doesn't develop the same. Plus adding .xx to a 100 meter time is enough to add meters to your run over your opponents.

There have been a rise in use recently, but at the high school level the training is much different between schools, so are the diet and sleep, and financial help. Even kids can have a leg up if they’ve been training their whole life instead of starting in high school. The top in performance I so small that everyone basically trains the same way, eats the same way, sleeps the same way, and is financially backed by sponsors. They need any boost they can to get to the lead.

Nagging injuries disappear as well as new normal wear and tear doesn't develop the same. Plus adding .xx to a 100 meter time is enough to add meters to your run over your opponents.
