    Tyso Gay is a nice guy. I like him. There shouldn't be any bad blood between you two. Tyson Gay is such a humble and respectful person. I was so sad 😞 by the loss of his daughter. You guys shouldn't be in any rivalry. You are both representing your country. Best of health to both of you.

    Tyson is that dude that does his work then heads home. No interviews, no drama, just grind. He probably doesn't even want to come on the interview/podcast cause he hates attracting drama to himself.

      @@Hengel_Andrews WRONG. Tyson Gay has had a 20 year career in track, winning medals from 2007 to retiring in 2017. He holds the record for the fastest American to run 100m at 9.69secs. He's a multimillionare. More money than Blake and Powell combined.

    Simply as a casual observer, I feel like their relationship has been at least neutral to somewhat cordial since the 2016 Olympics, things do mellow over time, I've seen them exchange comments on Instagram so I feel like they are at least cool with each other. On another note, please try and get Tyson on one of these programs, would love to hear his stories too!

    It sucks how Tyson Gay was just born at the wrong time, great sprinter who was just overshadowed and sandwiched in an era that included a bunch of great sprinters and the GOAT. If he was born 20 years later he would be dominantly winning right now

    Gatlin and Gay seems to be very nice guys. Especially Tyson seems to be very humble. A true role model. Sadly he had bad luck with injuries.
    Gatlin not a role model but still a person with a good heart. I respect him so much for all the things he had to endure and still make it at this age. This is true greatness.

      This. That's the part people aren't recognizing. Gay talked alot of shit while Gatlin was out. If you remember around that 2008-2009 time, everybody hyped it up as Bolt vs. Gay, but then a couple years down the line when Gatlin came back, he kinda took Gay's spot in that rivalry (along with Blake for a short span too). Gay I think was bitter. He always seemed to get injured at the wrong times as well. Seemed like every Olympic year he was dealing with injuries so we never truly got a Bolt-Gatlin-Gay 3-way rivalry (2012 Olympics was the closest to that).

      Blake also failed and he was in the same team as Bolt. They were using the same chemist but they couldn’t afford to have Bolts failed test released, similarly to Carl Lewis in 1988. They’re all on gear and they should stop testing. Let them juice, let them run fast, let their bodies heal from the training so we can all be entertained.

      Tyson got banned for doping more, but got less time for it. Tyson also went on a whole crusade about getting dopers out of track (Gatlin). To thing also that Gatlin and Tyson are the same age, but Tyson only beat Gatlin ONCE!

      I remember Tyson ran that 9.71 at the 2009 world championships where Usain ran his 9.58 world record. Even more impressive is Tyson ran that fast while having a groin injury.

      But who was more consistent? Who accomplished more? Gay always fell short at the biggest moments. Gatlin got an Olympic Gold and 2 world titles in the 100. They don't just hand those out to anybody.

      @@anthonyanderson9303 Gay also has 2 World titles in the 100m and 200m but once Bolt happened and Blake appeared and Gatlin returned he had way too much competition while Gatlin only beat Bolt when he was about to retire. Gay at his best was more of a competitor than Gatlin though. He lost races to Bolt while running 9.71 because he was mentally strong. Gatlin however lost races in 2015 and 2016 that he was supposed to win

      @@martifrey3357 that was one race and Bolt pulled him to that 9.71. Gatlin was way more consistent. Ran more 9.7's than Gay by a mile. Way more consistent at championship level. Even after his comeback - 2012 Olympics bronze, 2013 worlds silver, 2015 worlds silver, 2016 Olympics silver, 2017 worlds gold, 2019 worlds silver. That's 6 straight global finals he medaled in. He's 2nd only to bolt in his generation.

      @@anthonyanderson9303 Gatlin's 9.7 races all happened in Meetings except for 2012 where he just finished 0.01 faster than Gay but when it mattered the most he was much slower. He was definitely more consistent winning medals yes but my point is that Gay looked mentally stronger when he was fit and competing for medals. Gatlin was supposed to win the WC 2015 and Olympics 2016 and didn't.

      Yes, Tyson Gay did test positive in 2013 for a PED. He had to forfeit all results retrospectively for a year, and that included a medal in the 4 x 100m relay at the 2012 Olympics.
