Great advice for us Samsung Android users. Had the iRig2 and started live streaming my dj sets on twitch. Wasn't satisfied with the audio so purchased irigstream. Connected everything and went live. Audio was much better for 20 seconds until it pitched down and slowed down the remaining 2 hours of my set. Restarted phone afterwards and now my phone won't work with irigstream at all. About to send it back and try alternative methods.
Sorry to hear that. Its not so much the iRig but the software and bandwidth of the streaming platforms. For all that it's worth, try buying a super cheap used iPhone just for streaming and try it. The developers for these platforms seem to favor iPhones over Android but I feel like that should change soon seeing as how Apple stock has dropped for the first time is a years. No innovation

Hey. Great question. It sounds like some interference is leaking in through your cables. Are you using unbalanced TRS cables by chance? Or is is possible a mic is on and that's what's bleeding through?
I do not have a Mac, Nor i-pad. But have very good Windows system. Can I use irig HD X? Secondly, if I have a DAW and a good audio interface like Focusrite 2i2 that serves the purpose of a live broadcast, how is the irig HDX different than this? What's the point of investing in it then?

I got the iRig stream and I need to create Instagram Reels in Stereo via the Instagram app on an iPhone but after trying many times with different cords etc. I am only getting a mono signal recorded to the reel with the iRig Stream. The same this happens when doing a remix on instagram in the app, recorded in mono. Are you or anybody else have the same problem.
My pleasure @dreameastllc3250. I've had mono issues. But also make sure you have the stereo TRS 1/8in cable and if you need an adapter, for the interface jack as I mentioned, make sure that is TRS too. Many times just one of those connections can be the problem or it's just the apps fault. Have you been getting great use for the iRig Stream so far?

I'd have to look into that because I'm like, "Where in the chain would I be able to down grade the resolution? I was thinking about getting an older iPhone just to use it for Tiktok. Hmm. Well thanks for sharing your experience. The only work around is playing a live set, recording to a DAW or something and syncing up video in post production. Did you ever find out another alternative you'd recommend?

@grizzly_au I have no idea what EverMix is, besides my very superficial research. Of course I'd say, grab this one (link in description) but that's because I bought it and showed you what I know so far. FYI, a reddit post said EverMix is going outta business 🤷🏽♂️. There is the iRig and the Roland Mixer Go are all I know at the moment. Seems that problems with the Roland Mixer Go and S22's have arisen. I know you are concerned about spending money you don't have but sometimes you have to just let it fly! Go for it.
All im trying to do is get better audio when making instagram videos (no live streaming). Just trying to record audio from my record collection. Ive tried irig stream solo but no joy. The led power light comes on but audio just comes through camera microphone. Ive tried it on Google Pixel 8 and S21 but same on both. Works perfect on my old ipad though. Ive also tried the rode sc4 but the same outcome. Ive messed around qith the usb c audio settings but just cant seem to suss it out. So frustrating 😢
Have you tried the IRig Stream? It's a shoot-in the dark, but with a tiny flashlight 🔦 😉. Check the link in the description. I haven't worked with the Solo, so I don't have much information there friend. One thing I would suggest,maybe before purchasing the iRig stream, grab a refurbished iPhone for cheap, just for streaming and use that with the Solo. Let me know if any of this makes sense. -Matty

Hey Bill. First let me say this isn't a stupid question at all. Now, if you haven't watch the video please do. In short, use the iRig Stream to you phone via USB-C connection that comes with the iRig and connect RCA on iRig input to RCA output on your on DJ controller or RCA to 1/8in TRS cable (3.5mm jack) to your computer headphones port. I put all the parts you need in the description section under the video. Lmk if you need anything else. -Matty
what do I need if I want to come out of my computer after mixing my keyboard and microphone in Logic.....then getting that mix into my phone for videos?
The iRig Stream should be able to to that, friend. In The video I tell you about the dual RCA inputs to single stereo 1/8in TRS cable (often called aux input). Plug the Left and Right RCA into the iRig and the 1/8in side into your computer aux port or into a headphone jack on an interface. All the pieces you need are in the description.
Np @yodi84. The iRig Stream spreci doesn't need batteries but the iRig Stream Pro does take 2 AA batteries. That is a plus for the iRig Stream unless you need iRig Stream Pro's mix input. If you have an interface you don't need the Pro, imo. You've got this! I want to share what issues I ran into so you don't. The links in the description have all the tools mentioned in to video if you needed them.

Hey @sevenonemusic, I'm not totally clear as to the question, but hopefully this gives some insight: So the sounds come out from your audio source (mixer or interface or whatever you'd like to plug into the RCA inputs on the iRig) then goes to your phone. The headphone input allows you to hear whats coming out of you audio source without lag. To be fair, some phones and app don't play nice with the iRig stream so be aware. Also, did you see the part I added about Live streaming in this video?
Yeah, the tricky part is the app I live stream on, viewers can join and actually talk to me. I was wondering if this setup would allow me to hear my viewers and my mix together
The answer is yes, How are you planning to record, via your phone ro computer? Iphones can use the Photos feature. I have an android so I use a the free program Android Transfer File. Or you could just save the vids to your google drive on the phone, open up google drive on the computer and upload them to your computer that way. Does that help?

I'm tinking about gietting this to run off my Yamaha 10 channel mixer while I"m gigging and then I'll bring the footage into editing software. Do you think this would be helpful?? Hey Mia. Great question. You definitely can run it through your Mixers probably sin RCA ports on the mixer or TRS ports. Just set up your phone, test it all first and i would recommend using your native phone camera or Open Camera app. As far as the DSLR idea, I dont know how youd be able to route audio to the camera with the iRig ports given. The iRig has a lighting, USB-C and USB-A port.
So basically to get sound from your mixer to to your DSLR, just router a balanced signal from the mix to your camera's Mic/Audio input. Use a Splite TRS 1/4in jacks to single TRS 1/8in to your camera. Watch out for the Levels going from the mixer to the camera. I just bought Irig Stream and I have Android Galaxy a03s. I can't get it to work with the cables in the box. DO I need to buy the $30 special cable for Android from ik multimedia or this particular phone isn't even compatible with irig stream? I also have a windows laptop so I might just stream on Instagram thru that or just go buy refurbished iPhone 7 for ig livestreams using irig stream. I'm not sure what to do any opinions or thoughts from your end on this? Thanks
First off I glad you are getting active with your audio and visual content to congrats. Secondly, iRig has known not to play nice with Android phones. If you have the resources, grab the iPhone and use it with iRig. For some reason, most apps test put bugs on iPhones before Androids (i'm and android user, btw ; ) ). What exactly is happening when you try to Stream with the iRig? Which cables are you using?
Try clearing your apps cache then when you go live, go live then plug in the USB-C. Beware of typing/responding to comments after the iRig is plugged in as this has caused issues for me once i've gotten the iRig to work streaming live. It is a problem with apps, not really the phone imo. If you can find a little iPhone to record on, that is also a great option. iPhones, to me, are over hyped but highly used so apps work out bugs on them first.
Has anybody tried the hack about "plugging" the device once that rhe Instagram live session has started? Im talking about android, trying the stream the audio via the interface instead of the built in microphones. Thanks
Hey @pepedecoatza, I have and it seems to work although commenting one the iRig is in seems to fudge things up. Make sure to empty the local cache from the instagram app. IG seems to be working things out in the background so even on my Galaxy Note 9, one day the iRig didn't work and then one day it just started working. You can always buy a cheap used iPhone just for the social media marketing aspect of your music. Remember to stay focused, friend😉 -Matty

I have a couple of ideas to avoid using this device, as all my audio equipment is usb c, And audio class compliant, i should not have the need for another device. But isb audio is problematic in android
this device is not a voice recorder for recording, but an attenuator that reduces peak values... and you can connect a voice recorder or computer to it... something that records. In my opinion, you need to buy a separate recorder for this device... so this is a shitty solution...
Also, it's pretty working but there is an app the is coupled with Irig universe that you can record on - which does make this a recorder - called "iRig Recorder" . I don't use it tho.

on February 2024 after Tiktok update my duets with guitar and irig stream not working anymore. Sound is mushy, phased and it reacting to original song Im trying to duet. Cant use acoustic either only with ipone mic. Everything goes thru irig stream not work. Im really have tried help everywhere. Also thought this is my problem cuz have made 800 duets :D and think tiktok did something this not work anymore. I can sing duets but only using iphone mic. Can you guys help me. Hi when using Iphone open the live first, and then plug the irig's cable, your sound is mushy because you use the phones microphones (we don't want that)..hope this will help.
@@CarlotheDJ wish it could be fixed like that. But if I connect Irig first then open Tiktok duet and put that mic on. My guitar react on original and sound is mushy and phased too. That's Instagram fault. It only supports mono at this time
IG only does mono.

So, I'm not a rep fir IK multimedia but the recorder app they have is wonky. I just use my native camera or voice notes.

It is an app by app basis. As the apps start to show more love to Android users they fix more bugs. What app were you using to lIvestream?

what do I need if I want to come out of my computer after mixing my keyboard and microphone in Logic.....then getting that mix into my phone for videos?
The iRig Stream should be able to to that, friend. In The video I tell you about the dual RCA inputs to single stereo 1/8in TRS cable (often called aux input). Plug the Left and Right RCA into the iRig and the 1/8in side into your computer aux port or into a headphone jack on an interface.

Np @yodi84. The iRig Stream spreci doesn't need batteries but the iRig Stream Pro does take 2 AA batteries. That is a plus for the iRig Stream unless you need iRig Stream Pro's mix input. If you have an interface you don't need the Pro, imo. You've got this! I want to share what issues I ran into so you don't. The links in the description have all the tools mentioned in to video if you needed them.
I'm trying to live stream on an app where viewers can talk back to me. Can I hear audio coming out of the phone and my mixer together thru the headphone jack on the irig?
Hey @sevenonemusic, I'm not totally clear as to the question, but hopefully this gives some insight: So the sounds come out from your audio source (mixer or interface or whatever you'd like to plug into the RCA inputs on the iRig) then goes to your phone. The headphone input allows you to hear whats coming out of you audio source without lag.
To be fair, some phones and app don't play nice with the iRig stream so be aware. Also, did you see the part I added about Live streaming in this video?
Yeah, the tricky part is the app I live stream on, viewers can join and actually talk to me. I was wondering if this setup would allow me to hear my viewers and my mix together

The answer is yes, How are you planning to record, via your phone ro computer? Iphones can use the Photos feature. I have an android so I use a the free program Android Transfer File. Or you could just save the vids to your google drive on the phone, open up google drive on the computer and upload them to your computer that way. Does that help?
Hello, I would like to record the sound from the irig Stream Pro directly to my camera GH52. Is there a way or cable where I can connect it. My microphone is connected to the XLR input.
Hey Otto. Great question. I assume your GH52 has mic input. Have you tried running a high quality trs 3.5mm jack from the headphone output on the IRig Stream pro to the mic input on your camera?

Hey Mia. Great question. You definitely can run it through your Mixers probably sin RCA ports on the mixer or TRS ports. Just set up your phone, test it all first and i would recommend using your native phone camera or Open Camera app.
As far as the DSLR idea, I dont know how youd be able to route audio to the camera with the iRig ports given. The iRig has a lighting, USB-C and USB-A port.
So basically to get sound from your mixer to to your DSLR, just router a balanced signal from the mix to your camera's Mic/Audio input. Use a Splite TRS 1/4in jacks to single TRS 1/8in to your camera. Watch out for the Levels going from the mixer to the camera. I just bought Irig Stream and I have Android Galaxy a03s. I can't get it to work with the cables in the box. DO I need to buy the $30 special cable for Android from ik multimedia or this particular phone isn't even compatible with irig stream? I also have a windows laptop so I might just stream on Instagram thru that or just go buy refurbished iPhone 7 for ig livestreams using irig stream. I'm not sure what to do any opinions or thoughts from your end on this? Thanks
Your probably already sorted now but yeah stuff the special cable cut to the chase and buy that I-phone that's my advice to anyone. :)
First off I glad you are getting active with your audio and visual content to congrats. Secondly, iRig has known not to play nice with Android phones. If you have the resources, grab the iPhone and use it with iRig. For some reason, most apps test put bugs on iPhones before Androids (i'm and android user, btw ; ) ).
What exactly is happening when you try to Stream with the iRig? Which cables are you using?

I have Android as well and it's not working. I also can't get windows pc to update firmware it fails everytime.
Try clearing your apps cache then when you go live, go live then plug in the USB-C. Beware of typing/responding to comments after the iRig is plugged in as this has caused issues for me once i've gotten the iRig to work streaming live. It is a problem with apps, not really the phone imo. If you can find a little iPhone to record on, that is also a great option. iPhones, to me, are over hyped but highly used so apps work out bugs on them first.

Has anybody tried the hack about "plugging" the device once that rhe Instagram live session has started? Im talking about android, trying the stream the audio via the interface instead of the built in microphones. Thanks
Hey @pepedecoatza, I have and it seems to work although commenting one the iRig is in seems to fudge things up. Make sure to empty the local cache from the instagram app. IG seems to be working things out in the background so even on my Galaxy Note 9, one day the iRig didn't work and then one day it just started working.
You can always buy a cheap used iPhone just for the social media marketing aspect of your music.

I have a couple of ideas to avoid using this device, as all my audio equipment is usb c, And audio class compliant, i should not have the need for another device. But isb audio is problematic in android

this device is not a voice recorder for recording, but an attenuator that reduces peak values... and you can connect a voice recorder or computer to it... something that records. In my opinion, you need to buy a separate recorder for this device... so this is a shitty solution...

on February 2024 after Tiktok update my duets with guitar and irig stream not working anymore. Sound is mushy, phased and it reacting to original song Im trying to duet. Cant use acoustic either only with ipone mic. Everything goes thru irig stream not work. Im really have tried help everywhere. Also thought this is my problem cuz have made 800 duets :D and think tiktok did something this not work anymore. I can sing duets but only using iphone mic. Can you guys help me. Hi when using Iphone open the live first, and then plug the irig's cable, your sound is mushy because you use the phones microphones (we don't want that)..hope this will help.
@@CarlotheDJ wish it could be fixed like that. But if I connect Irig first then open Tiktok duet and put that mic on. My guitar react on original and sound is mushy and phased too. Have dueted now 5 months using acoustic guitar and Iphone mic cuz it seems to be only way to avoid that mushiness phased sound. Thanks for trying to help...
