Hm. I couldn’t get external audio inputs to record via the native camera app on my iPad. I ended up just using a different (arguably better) camera app. For reference, I use an iPad Pro 10.5 and connect a line6 HX Stomp via usb. I don’t usually bother with a microphone, but have a green bullet I can plug right in to the Stomp’s other input and I have a patch with a split signal for instrument and vocal. But what’s really important is- Welyn has some of the best rhymes and beat editing. Mafk spittin straight BARS.
Heh... And you can chain the UNO Drum via the 3.5mm jacks so you can run both into the iRig Stream. Now if IK Multimedia would release some 2.5mm TRS cables, on could plug both UNOs together via MIDI, folks wouldn't have to mess the breakout cables and a 5-pin cable.

I have the iRig stream but I can’t get it to work when I try to go live. It only plays for a few short seconds and cuts the audio. But it does work find if I’m using my iPhones camera for video or making a voice note but I the audio cuts off every time I try to go live. Frustrating to say the least
I found a janky work around and that’s opening the iRig stream app and press record from the app and then go live on whatever platform. The audio doesn’t cut off that way

I got the iRig stream and I need to create Instagram Reels in Stereo via the Instagram app on an iPhone but after trying many times with different cords etc. I am only getting a mono signal recorded to the reel with the iRig Stream. The same this happens when doing a remix on instagram in the app, recorded in mono. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? If anyone can tell me I would appreciate it!

Yes you can do that. I’m not sure which Focusrite Interface you have and what type of connections it has, but you just need the right type of cable between the Focusrite interface and the iRig Stream. The iRig stream has RCA connectors for the line input so you need a cable with those connectors at one end and then the type of connectors suited for your Focusrite at the other end.

It’s a very hard “nut to crack”. I’ve been producing videos and music with iOS devices for about 7-8 years now, I’m also fully mobile, and even though there are many amazingly good “mobile” products out there on the market, I too am still struggling with finding “complete” stable solutions. . You know how it is. One of the biggest issues with this mobile bussiness is that one ends up with a backpack full of tiny devices and loads of little cables. Ha, I feel like I’m always sorting dongles, short cables and multiple USB battery packs around. . Another one is charging the phone while it’s mounted on a gimbal ... ugh. 😅 . But with that said ... I still keep doing it like this because I’ve never been this creative in my life before. I’ve gotten more done these 7 past years than I ever got done back when I was stuck in a studio, in front of my very expensive DIY built, water-cooled desktop system and all the software I could ever need. . Mobile is just ... way more freeing for my creativity, even if it’s incredibly frustrating at the same time.

The iRig Stream and the Scarlett 2i2 are catering to different needs. Your question involves excluding one of the biggest selling points for the iRig Stream. . The iRig Stream is portable in the most truest sense. It is small, very light and it was designed to run on very low power. This thing powers directly from an iDevice (iPhone, iPad) without having to use CCK’s or Lightning to USB3 adapters. It even delivers with USB-A, USB-C and USB-Lightning cables, so one can just hook it up and get going right away. The iRig Stream also has a connection made for headsets, the type a lot of us already have at home. . The Scarlett might be considered “portable”, but it needs a Lightning to USB3 connector to connect and it is also more power hungry. Due to it having phantom power, I’m guessing this sound interface needs a powered hub to work too. That’s it! 👍🏼 Any headset with a TRRS connector should work with the iRig Stream. So if you have a set of original Apple EarPods (MD827ZM/A), you’ll be able to use them to hear what’s going on and have a mic at the same time. It’s really neat and inexpensive since a lot of us already have a pair of those. Even a gaming headset with a TRRS plug works. That’s what I use for my streams.
I hope you get it soon. I’ve noticed a big slow down on shipping no matter where I order from. I’ve been waiting on a set of angled USB cables that I ordered from a company based here in Sweden and it’s been 2 weeks already. Usually takes 3 days. 😅
I need help to correctly connect my Irig Stream for Zoom meeting: I want my music rigged through the Irig Stream/my Iphone or MAC Pro, and into/from my Soundcraft EPM8 in-line input/output. Would appreciate a guide or video please.
Bought one last March. Flaky at best. It only passes audio through it once you hit Go Live on Facebook and even then it's been iffy. Last week - spent 30 minutes of a scheduled show trying to make it work (using the IK Multimedia power supply) and in the end gave up - went with iphone mic which is depressing. IKM are so slow to respond.
As an advice to the ones of us who are not willing to spend 100 dollars on a “mobile interface” - a sabrent usb audio driver that’s worth 10 dollars on Amazon will generally work just fine as an audio interface - most of them sound pretty decent (my sabrent sounds almost as good as my actual audio interface by focusrite), and they are dirty cheap. Take this from someone who has tried multiple devices on their phone - the sabrent usb stick does the trick, is super compact and isn’t worth even 15 dollars. The only problem : won’t easily be able to charge while you use it.

Ripcord didn’t work with my ms-101 they sent me a second one and that failed as well. They did however work with my microKorg and my zoom pedal.

You don't need 1,000 subs to stream to TH-cam on mobile if you use Streamlabs. You just can't go live directly from the TH-cam mobile app.

Irigout the window problems my iphone does not support it without the real irig charger. The lame the tell pp is made for iphone its not!

For some reason it only works with apple products. I just got a brand new Samsung galaxy 11 and it just wont work with it. Quite disappointed.
