This is one of the best hacks I have ever seen. Just done it on my newer version CDF-26 (bit annoyed that the thermistor failed after less than four years) and it works a treat. Saved me a hefty repair bill. Thanks for posting!

I think mine has gone on my CF26 too. What was the symptoms of yours? Mine says 8-9 degrees centigrade all the time but it’s freezing everything inside and it doesn’t turn the compressor off. Was this the same as yours?

@@-King-G- Yes same. Processor wasn't getting the memo about actual temperature and kept on chilling

@@mistersteviechen thank you. I’ve brought a new thermistor and it now turns off and back on when it thinks it’s at the right temperature. But, it doesn’t seem to be the right temperature. Using another thermometer inside the temperature can be massively off. Maybe I need to buy a better thermistor.

Great stuff! I had a refrigeration business look at mine. They claimed they serviced it and it works fine (and charged me a pretty penny for this!), but alas, still the same. Its been standing for a year now, when I suddenly needed to use it again, so found your great hack! Now to find a replacement thermister, at least I know what to search for.

Thanks for this, I was faced with the task of replacing the thermistor in my 60L coolfreeze. What a great idea, so easy. Legend 👌

thanks a lot Glen! I bought a CF 35 a couple of days ago for 60 euros, which only froze, and for a couple of euros it was to change the 10K ohm thermistor!

rough and dirty but it works and thats the main thing, thanks for the alternative food for thought.

Before trying this with Dometic CF11 trash, the thermistor doesn’t plug into the controller board like this one. A similar method might work, but you still have to open the front of the trash.

I see on the display the error code Err2. Ordered two different thermistor. First one with 100K, now -20 °C on display. So still not cooling. Second one with 10K and the same issue. Any comments or ideas? Do i still have wrong type of thermistor? Thanks ✌️

Sorry mate my experience is limited to solving my own issue, I never had an error code, and just got the thermistor which was listed to suit my fridge.

Buddy do you have a link to the probe you used?

I have a Euphony fridge, same exact style and mine started reading 104* F non stop and just freezes everything. Is it that hard to replace the oem thermastat where ever it’s located?

You might find your fridge has a replaceable thermo probe… never know. It’s not Waeco so probably not the same

Mine doesn't freeze at all and seems ineficient. Can the thermostat be the problem maybe a service is required?

Sorry to hear, sounds more like the fridge is stuffed to me… but maybe it’s possible some sensor or something isn’t working correctly? Sorry I can’t be more help myself.

Yep, drill and grab much easier then the plastic mount removal…
