Also, you can just sit it out there and kinda loosely wrap clear painters plastic around it when you need to and make a mini greenhouse for it and then unwrap it when you’re done and not have to worry about hail and stuff destroying a larger greenhouse made of painters plastic.
I bath outside most of the time. 50ft black hose on the ground if sunny in Southwest Louisiana. Water hotter than one can stand. I put it in a bucket and cut it with cold. Then I dip it out with a small pot to rinse after soaping from a pan with wash cloth.
Yeah, my grandma told me about doing something similar only they would heat the water on the wood stove in the wintertime and stand in a bucket and pour it over them. Gets freezing up here, and I’m not about to get frostbite on the ol’ fishing lure ;)
I don’t have electric or gas in the cabin yet and no water lines or water heaters or sinks or tubs just yet. I’m literally roughin it trying to get it somewhat livable before winter sets in. Rural or well water is pretty darn cold coming straight out the ground, even in summer, and well, I’m no Wim Hof “Ice Man” and don’t like ice cold baths. If you use the sun as a passive heat source and turn the sprayer head on a fine mist, the water comes out all nice and slow like and the sun has time heat it up a bit and the bucket and painters plastic makes it retain heat and warm up better. If you leave a regular garden hose out in the sun in summer the water that comes out when you pull the trigger full blast is pretty darn hot for a few seconds and then goes all cold like. This method isn’t meant for people with nice houses with hot water heaters and plumbing already. It’s just to make people who might find themselves stuck in situations like mine’s life just a little bit better. It’s hard to get a job or go out with Daisy Mae if the water is all cold like and you can’t take a shower. This just makes showering bearable, not amazing. Nothing great about taking a cold water shower naked in the woods with skeeters biting you. But at least I can make the water luke warm this way, and hopefully get done before the skeeters eat too much!.
