Does that audio converter inferior with any of the codecs? Such as Dolby Atmos or DTS X? Is it compatible with a 5.1 or 7.2 surround sound setup? Does it boast the center channel and turns down the discrete sounds of the surrounds? Very curious???
+Alejandro Tejeda Yes! They are perfect!! The bass is tight and clean and high are crisp!! I'm not a fan of FPS, so can't really comment on that. The sound quality is accurate and mimics what the sound engineer is listening in the mixing room. You will be happy!!
I bought the MDR-XB950BT about 2 months ago and i am so Happy to have these. I highly recommend these headphones! I'm glad to hear that these Sony headphones are your favorite ones just like mine of course!
I was also surprised by this but I agree I absolutely love the Sony wireless extra base they are amazing and my favorite pair of headphones which I just tested / bought
Agnish Paul RRyann umm now i'm back where i started lol!... have you guys tried both?? and if so can you guys explain why i should choose one over the other??
Aesthetically, V-Moda as they are better looking. M50x doesnt look bad by any means. I love how mine looks. It's cheaper with the sound being on par or better than the v modas.
Yes, but do you get the customization of the vmodas? The vmoda's are very well built and come with a 2 year warranty which you shouldnt even have to use.
I've been obsessing over the Sony EX's for a couple of months now and there are finally on sale again for $100 at Best Buy, Amazon, and even Walmart. Just ordered them today can't wait for then to come in!
Those XB950BT Cans are awesome! I've played 16 and 24bit FLAC files through bluetooth and wired. Both sound amazing. Wired sounded a tad better. Also did use my Fiio X3 for some of the testing. Also noise filtering is pretty nice with the closed back. Not noise canceling.
@UrAvgConsumer : For the last headphones, the Sony MDR XB905BT, I found an awesome case that fits these headphones! It comes with two big pouches, (both removable) and also is a hardshell case. Thanks for another awesome video!!!
I have the Audio Technia ATH M50x, which are considered studio monitors. Honestly I prefer studio monitors, simply because I can hear everything, which makes them great for whatever I want to use them for.
You should check out the Sony Mdr-1abt. They're Bluetooth headphones and they sound absolutely wonderful. I saw them on Amazon and they're definitely worth checking out.
V-Moda M100's with the XL earpads are the best all around headphones for the price... Comfortable, portable, quality bass without mids/highs being compromised, amazing build quality, and gorgeous aesthetics... What more could you ask for? Oh yeah they are also customizable and V-Moda has a really good warranty and stands by their products with confidence.
You should definitely check out plantronics backbeat pro. They are awesome bluetooth headphones and the battery practically never dies even at 100% volume. I just got these and love them. It will be great to see your review on these.
The Bluetooth Sony ones are some of the best headphones I had listened to with HIP HOP in mind. And simple fact that wireless and long battery life is the best combination ever.
great video, looking forward to getting some of these. However, the background music was a bit too loud to me, making your voice a bit drowned out by it. looking forward to your next list.
I love Bose headphones myself I love the detachable wire as my previous favorite was a 20 dollar pair of Sony headphones and despite me taking really good care of them they always broke on the wire. So I was looking for a pair of headphones with a replaceable wire and I first was looking at the Beats headphones but when I researched them on the Internet I seen someone said they aren't durable and the bass is emphasized and I wanted flat sounding headphones so I looked at Bose because the person that said Beats was not durable recommended Bose. So I got a pair of Bose AE2 headphones and I have had them for like 2 years and I haven't had to replace the wire yet and I have a spare for it all they really need is new ear cup cushions which are 30 bucks so no biggie. I'm sure there are better ones out there but I love Bose headphones so I'm going to stick with what works for me, great video too.
I just got the V Moda M 100, they are amazing! I am just having trouble switching the ear cups. It would be really helpful if you could make a vid showing us how to do it.
I watched this video on the Sony XB950BT. Best bluetooth headphones I've ever owned. The only thing I'd change is a better microphone, callers often can't hear me properly.
I still think that my Audio Technica M50x headphones are still a very good deal for every kind of music ! I also use them for gaming and they work great ! They have a very precise sound from the bass all the way to the highs, and are very comfortable for long period of use !
awesome, i got 2 head phones frm tge list, v moda m100 and sony xb950bt, i have to say sony 950 has been one of my favorite along with audio technica athm50x
Eyyyyyyyyyy its my Sony's! I love the heck out of them man. Amazing bass, super comfortable, long battery life, fast charge and Bluetooth. But honestly i don't see a reason why to turn off the bass boost unless your a light weight.
the beyerdynamic were an attempt to compete the Sennheiser hd-25 and they didn't quite make it, totally try the hd 25 they're quite bass heavy but balanced
you didnt even mention the v-moda crossfade wireless headphones !!!! you must look into them, i promise you'll love them more than some of these headphones on your list.
I love my Sennheiser HD598s, but I would like to get some closed back cans with stronger bass for certain genres. The V-Moda M100 and Sony MDRs look pretty sweet. I admit though, I don't have much experience with bluetooth headsets. Is there a noticeable loss of sound quality when you cut the wire? I have pretty sensitive hearing, so things like static in the background can drive me nuts.
Shouldn't be any static. I don't think the average person will hear a difference between bluetooth and wired but those with audiophile ears can probably tell a slight difference.
+UrAvgConsumer Thanks for the reply! I think I'll take a look at both of them. I do really like the styling of the V-Moda and the possibility of add-ons like the boom mic. I currently have a ModMic 4.0 on my HD 598s for PC gaming, but it does make the dual cable setup kind of bulky. It might be worth it to just check out the Sony cans just to see if bluetooth works for me. I do like the idea of just getting rid of the cable hassle. Anyway, thanks again. I appreciate your insights!
Just a little surprised the Bose QC25 didn't make the list. Easily the best headphones I've ever owned. Durable, light, they come with case, the sound is pure and the noise cancellation is out of this world.
Can you do a top 5 or 10 earbuds under $200? I've gotten into a habit of collecting these, as it's a collection that I can actually use daily. I'm just curious to see if you have anything on your list that I don't so I know what else to purchase and add to the collection!
For me I like studio headphones, and the most clear for recording music and listening to music to me are ATH m40x headphones. I tried so many and I could hear so much things I could not hear before especially in tracks with a lot of layers. They were better to me than even the m50x because they have a little to much bass for me and the m40x look better with the smaller logo. They are not for people who want intense bass though. My ears are sensitive so harsh highs and intense deep bass in too much for my ears.
You guys definitely gotta check out Mike's channel. Lots of audiophile level gear being reviewed there: th-cam.com/users/hifiguy528
+UrAvgConsumer damn man I'm being jealous, I don't even have a pair of earbuds while you have tons of Headphones :
Does that audio converter inferior with any of the codecs? Such as Dolby Atmos or DTS X? Is it compatible with a 5.1 or 7.2 surround sound setup? Does it boast the center channel and turns down the discrete sounds of the surrounds? Very curious???
+UrAvgConsumer that frame at 6:29 lol. Keep up the good work!
Dude nice vid but where the hell is your top 5 gaming headphones which you announced like 3 months ago
Can you please do the review of V-Modas new Crossfade wireless
Your videos are becoming insanely good, keep working bro :)

+eddierios831 maybe you should stfu? Idiot
LOL
Savage
He was just trying to give some constructive critisism...
Finally you included the Sennheiser Hd598 I recently bought them and love them!!
Audio technicas all still my go too!!
Same here
+David Yu (Supa D) audio-technica is my favorite too
+David Yu (Supa D) just ordered the m50x do you think its good for everyday music and simple gaming? not FPS tho
+Alejandro Tejeda Yes! They are perfect!! The bass is tight and clean and high are crisp!! I'm not a fan of FPS, so can't really comment on that. The sound quality is accurate and mimics what the sound engineer is listening in the mixing room. You will be happy!!
+Alejandro Tejeda They're so good, you will be able to decipher the quality of the mix.
Great video dude. I do like the Sony audio quality
And I'm getting the Sony Mdr Xb950bt today as well
Lol got them today and tbh I'm not liking them
+zeeshaan choudhry Same here I'm going to return them for the Skullcandy Hesh wireless
+Nathan Green yea I'm going to return them and just get beats
How are the
Sony MDR XB950BT
I was thinking about buying them this week!!!
+imthiyaaz fiaz I didn't like them at all but that's my opinion
I love it when you upload a headphone related video, btw I am a huge fan of anything related to audio or headphones. 😊
You know what's funny I watched last years top 5 headphones yesterday
Nice lol.
Background music is so amazing !
+Rehan Chougle what 's the Background music

well it just did
I bought the MDR-XB950BT about 2 months ago and i am so Happy to have these. I highly recommend these headphones! I'm glad to hear that these Sony headphones are your favorite ones just like mine of course!
no ATH-M50X?
missing that one too
He said he wanted to differ things up from his old video
+RRyann So? change for the sake of change?
***** Ask him lol
+RRyann oh, thanks!
I like your test for durability on the vmoda's - gentle knocking on the cups
6:29 most impossible pause ever :(
+Anto Charles It's just him with a dumb face looking at his phone, but yeah, it was hard as fuq. Must have been a single frame.
+Anto Charles I gotcha prntscr.com/95cil6
+Anto Charles you can just make the video go slower in the settings at the bottom right of the screen. It makes it easier.
Caught it fair and square lol
Got it
Would love to see a top 5 wireless headphones list in the near future!
Audio Technica's got knocked off this year?
They didn't get knocked off. I still love them. Just didn't want this video to be too similar to 3.0.
Ah, I was waiting for it to be three years in a row :D
+ChappyPlayz
It's pretty hard to beat the m50x and m40x at their price range.
But yeah, like he said, they've been in the previous videos he's made.
The sony mdr xb950bt when watching movies with bass boost on is insane like a home theatre system inside your head
Video starts at 0:00
Thank me later!!
What would we do without you? :P
I just found your channel, and I really enjoy the way you review things. You remind me a bit of coldfusionTv, without the Aussie accent.
when would you do the gaming headsets review ???
pls answer
glad you included the Sony MDR-XB950BT's I got them at best buy on a whim for $100 a year ago and love them still
Do a review of the h.ear on headphones of sony
Mike is definitely one of the guys on TH-cam I trust when it comes to audio
earbuds?
Audio Technica ATH-M40X here, loving them!
I CANT BELEIVE HE PUT THE VMODA M100 SO LOW ON THE LIST!!!!!! I thought he liked them more!
This list isn't in any particular order. It's just a variety of different headphones for multiple uses.
I was also surprised by this but I agree I absolutely love the Sony wireless extra base they are amazing and my favorite pair of headphones which I just tested / bought
+UrAvgConsumer what about the crossfade wireless
I don't think this was a 5,4,3,2,1 comparison. Just kept saying, "next on the list."
Anyway, V-Moda M-100's reign supreme!!
+UrAvgConsumer
You say you like wireless headphones and v moda headphones
Yet totally failed to even mention v-moda crossfade wireless
Ordered my Sony MDR-XB950BT on thursday, so im waiting!!
vmoda m100's or audio technica ath m50x's??... Which is better??
M50x :)
Vmoda's, without a shadow of a doubt
Agnish Paul RRyann umm now i'm back where i started lol!... have you guys tried both?? and if so can you guys explain why i should choose one over the other??
Aesthetically, V-Moda as they are better looking.
M50x doesnt look bad by any means. I love how mine looks. It's cheaper with the sound being on par or better than the v modas.
Yes, but do you get the customization of the vmodas? The vmoda's are very well built and come with a 2 year warranty which you shouldnt even have to use.
how happy i was when i saw a notification of your new video! i love your videos keep up the good work.
Woot! Glad to hear it.

I've been obsessing over the Sony EX's for a couple of months now and there are finally on sale again for $100 at Best Buy, Amazon, and even Walmart. Just ordered them today can't wait for then to come in!

I was expecting beats and bose and other overrated shit headphones.
Bought the Sony bluetooths on your earlier recommendation. They have so far been excellent. Thanks!
@UrAvgConsumer : For the last headphones, the Sony MDR XB905BT, I found an awesome case that fits these headphones! It comes with two big pouches, (both removable) and also is a hardshell case. Thanks for another awesome video!!!
Your audio taste is finally refining 👍
Definitely V-Moda M100. I own it after your previous review. Thanks Bro.

I have the Audio Technia ATH M50x, which are considered studio monitors. Honestly I prefer studio monitors, simply because I can hear everything, which makes them great for whatever I want to use them for.
I was watching Favourite Headphones 3.0 just yesterday!
You should check out the Sony Mdr-1abt. They're Bluetooth headphones and they sound absolutely wonderful. I saw them on Amazon and they're definitely worth checking out.

For an open-back headphone, my all time favorite has to be the Philips Fidelio X2. Legendary piece of kit they are.
Lovin the quality bro
You should definitely check out plantronics backbeat pro. They are awesome bluetooth headphones and the battery practically never dies even at 100% volume. I just got these and love them. It will be great to see your review on these.

The Bluetooth Sony ones are some of the best headphones I had listened to with HIP HOP in mind. And simple fact that wireless and long battery life is the best combination ever.
Can you do an updated video on earphones as well?
great video, looking forward to getting some of these. However, the background music was a bit too loud to me, making your voice a bit drowned out by it. looking forward to your next list.

Did you drop the FBOMB when the tv got loud?!?!? LoL loved it!
i like your calm style bro
I just got the V Moda M 100, they are amazing! I am just having trouble switching the ear cups. It would be really helpful if you could make a vid showing us how to do it.
Watching this with my Vmoda m100's!
Excellent video man, I love headphones. You might try the new V Moda's Crossfader Wireless and tell us how they are.

I am an M100 user and fan!! I payed a little more than $300, if you can get that $250 deal you really should!
I watched this video on the Sony XB950BT. Best bluetooth headphones I've ever owned. The only thing I'd change is a better microphone, callers often can't hear me properly.

i have the sony xtra bass trust me when i tried them it was like heaven especially with the bass boost
I bought the sony MDR- ZX770BN a couple months ago and they are amazing! (about 170 bucks)
The Sennheiser dropped down to $95 on Amazon US, and £75 on Amazon UK yesterday (Black Friday) so i quickly bought them :) Out of Stock now.
I just grabbed the V-Moda's on a pawn shop for $80 and damn I just can't stop using them!
Great videos, man keep it up.
Bro what about the Bose QC 25's? The noise cancellation on those is bananas.
Eyyyyyyyyyy its my Sony's! I love the heck out of them man. Amazing bass, super comfortable, long battery life, fast charge and Bluetooth. But honestly i don't see a reason why to turn off the bass boost unless your a light weight.
Another crispy video from uravgconsumer.
the beyerdynamic were an attempt to compete the Sennheiser hd-25 and they didn't quite make it, totally try the hd 25 they're quite bass heavy but balanced
you need to do top 5 earbuds!!!
you didnt even mention the v-moda crossfade wireless headphones !!!! you must look into them, i promise you'll love them more than some of these headphones on your list.
I ordered V-mods wireless for Christmas, will it be worth it?
Can you do a video on headphones between 50 to 60 dollars?
I love my Sennheiser HD598s, but I would like to get some closed back cans with stronger bass for certain genres. The V-Moda M100 and Sony MDRs look pretty sweet. I appreciate your insights!
+JesseArt dont forget, the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless now is wireless
+JesseArt A Dac/Amp can completely get rid of static in wired headphones. I use a Fiio E10K.
your video so great, show more your collection!
You really like the Sony bass boost 😁
Those sonys are a must get for black friday only $99!
Just a little surprised the Bose QC25 didn't make the list. Easily the best headphones I've ever owned. Durable, light, they come with case, the sound is pure and the noise cancellation is out of this world.
+jovonie barrett because the sound quality is garbage compared to these headphones
The thing that I noticed the most was the stand. Wow
Can you do a top 5 or 10 earbuds under $200?
I've gotten into a habit of collecting these, as it's a collection that I can actually use daily.
I'm just curious to see if you have anything on your list that I don't so I know what else to purchase and add to the collection!
